  • Help using RDA on a Desktop Applicaton?

    I have a .NET 3.5 Compact Framework project that uses RDA for moving data between its mobile device's local SqlCe database and a remote MSSql-2008 server(it uses RDA Push and Pull). The server machine a virtual directory with sqlcesa35.dll (v3.5.5386.0) setup for RDA. We usually install these cabs on the mobile devices and the RDA process does not have any problems: sqlce.wce5.armv4i.cab sqlce.repl.wce5.armv4i.cab Now I am trying to run this application as a desktop application. RDA Pull (download) has been working well. But the RDA Push (upload) is giving me some problems. This is the exception that I get on the desktop application when I try to use RDA Push: System.Data.SqlServerCe.SqlCeException The Client Agent and Server Agent component versions are incompatible. The compatible versions are: Client Agent versions 3.0 and 3.5 with Server Agent versions 3.5 and Client Agent version 3.5 with Server Agent version 3.5. Re-install the replication components with the matching versions for client and server agents. [ 35,30,Client Agent version = ,Server Agent version = ] I have tried copying the file C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server Compact Edition\v3.5\Desktop\SqlServerCe.dll (v3.5.5692.0) to bin\debug I have also tried copying another version of SqlServerCe.dll (v3.0.5206.0) to bin\debug. But this just gives me a slightly different exception: System.Data.SqlServerCe.SqlCeException [ 35,30 ] Is there a different setup or any different dlls that I need to use? Thanks, -Joel

  • Mechanize form submit not going to the correct response page, no errors as to why. Something I'm doing?

    I threw this all in one controller for testing purposes. My code fills out the form correctly for adding a new address to your Amazon account. There are two buttons that submit this form, one takes you to add a new address which is what I don't want, and the other is just a Save & Continue input/image. When I submit the form via that button, as I do below, the form is still on the page, filled out as I have with my code. Inspecting the page titles, they're the same. There are no discernible errors that Mechanize or Amazon spit back.   • SQL Server: Is it possible to prevent SQL Agent from failing a step on error?

    I have a stored procedure that runs custom backups for around 60 SQL servers (mixes 2000 through 2008R2). Occasionally, due to issues outside of my control (backup device inaccessible, network error, etc.) an individual backup on one or two databases will fail. This causes this entire step to fail, which means any subsequent backup commands are not executed and half of the databases on a given server may not be backed up. On the 2005+ boxes I am using TRY/CATCH blocks to manage these problems and continue backing up the remaining databases. On a 2000 server however, for example, I have no way to prevent this error from failing the entire step: Msg 3201, Level 16, State 1, Line 1 Cannot open backup device 'db-diff(\PATH\DB-DIFF-03-16-2010.DIF)'. Operating system error 5(Access is denied.). Msg 3013, Level 16, State 1, Line 1 BACKUP DATABASE is terminating abnormally. I am simply asking if anything like this is possible in SQL 2000 or if I need to go in a completely different direction.

  • Any worker agent monitors for appliance based load balancers?

    Looking to find out to what extent an appliance load balancer can monitor servers for both failover (say for example a service like apache tomcat fails) and load balancing? Right now it looks like it's just port monitoring/connection tracking and healthcheck urls that it will heartbeat and detect as down if it doesn't come back with a finished request. We are looking at the Kemp 3500 or Loadbalancer.org solutions. Is there any sort of web application level monitoring/load balancing that these load balancers can offer that can more directly interact with the servers it's balancing?

I entered the MSDN "Disk 5000: Developer Tools" DVD, opened default.htm, clicked on the "Visual Studio Team Foundation Server 2010" link. The VSTFS2010 folder open. I click autorun.exe. And then I get "Microsoft Visual Studio Agents 2010 Setup". I don't get it. Why "agents"? I wanted to instal a server!

    I am writing a basic function to convert millions of names (one time batch process) from their current form, which is all upper case, to a proper mixed case. Can anyone think of anything I could change or add to capture more edge case? I am sure there are tons of edge cases I am not even thinking of as well. All casing should following North American conventions too meaning that if certain countries expect a specific capitalization format, and that differs from the North American format, then the North American format takes precedence.

    I need the code to check the data-name value of all instances of .account-select. Right now it just checks the first .account-select element and not any subsequent ones. The function right now is on click of an element such as John Smith, it checks the data-name of the .account-select lis. If the data-names are the same, it does not create a new li with the John Smith data. If no data-names are equal to John Smith, then it adds an li with John Smith.     Hi All, I have tried to install a 32 bit Netegrity(CA) siteminder web agent on 64 bit Windows server 2003. The IIS server is V 6.0 and so it is also 64 bit. But the problem is while configuring the agent it is showing metabase error. Previously 64 bit web agent was installed on the same server and removed. The IIS V 6.0 is also reinstalled on the server. But after that when I tried to install 32 bit siteminder web agent, it is showing an error as said above. Is it possible to install a 32 bit siteminder web agent on 64 bit IIS?     I want to configure Postfix to replace the 'From' header in all forwarded/aliased messages with a custom email address, and the 'Reply-To' header with the original sender's address. Is that something that can be done with a simple configuration change, or am I looking at a more complex problem? For example: Original Message: From: "John Smith" <[email protected]> To: "Jane Rice" <[email protected]> Would get translated to: From: "My Email Forwarding Service" <[email protected]> Reply-To: "John Smith" <[email protected]> To: "Jane Rice" <[email protected]> Ideally, I would also have it rewrite the message body (adding something about how the message was forwarded for them), but I know that's much more difficult. We have a number of email aliases, and everytime someone reports spam they received through their alias, our server gets flagged. I'm trying to minimize that damage as much as possible.     So I'm trying to get started with Juju, and tried to do this locally using LXC. I followed the instructions here: How do I configure juju for local usage?   • Siteminder webagent installation failed

    Hi All, I have tried to install a 32 bit Netegrity(CA) siteminder web agent on 64 bit Windows server 2003. The IIS server is V 6.0 and so it is also 64 bit. But the problem is while configuring the agent it is showing metabase error. Previously 64 bit web agent was installed on the same server and removed. The IIS V 6.0 is also reinstalled on the server. But after that when I tried to install 32 bit siteminder web agent, it is showing an error as said above. Is it possible to install a 32 bit siteminder web agent on 64 bit IIS? Please help me as soon as possible. Thanks in advance.

    Let's say you have a parent domain: parent.com and children subdomains under that parent domain: child1.com child2.com child3.com Is there a way to use just the following within parent.com: User-agent: * Disallow: / Considering each child has their own robots.txt stating: User-agent: * Allow: / Or is the parent robots.txt still going to have to make an exception for every single subdomain: User-agent: * Disallow: / Allow: /child1/ Allow: /child2/ Allow: /child3/ Obviously this is important and tricky territory SEO wise so I'm looking to learn the definitive and safe, best practice method here to sharpen my skills.   • OpenLDAP Authentication UID vs CN issues

    I'm having trouble authenticating services using uid for authentication, which I thought was the standard method for authentication on the user. So basically, my users are added in ldap like this: # jsmith, Users, example.com dn: uid=jsmith,ou=Users,dc=example,dc=com uidNumber: 10003 loginShell: /bin/bash sn: Smith mail: [email protected] homeDirectory: /home/jsmith displayName: John Smith givenName: John uid: jsmith gecos: John Smith gidNumber: 10000 cn: John Smith title: System Administrator But when I try to authenticate using typical webapps or services like this: jsmith password I get: ldapsearch -x -h ldap.example.com -D "cn=jsmith,ou=Users,dc=example,dc=com" -W -b "dc=example,dc=com" Enter LDAP Password: ldap_bind: Invalid credentials (49) But if I use: ldapsearch -x -h ldap.example.com -D "uid=jsmith,ou=Users,dc=example,dc=com" -W -b "dc=example,dc=com" It works. HOWEVER...most webapps and authentication methods seem to use another method. So on a webapp I'm using, unless I specify the user as: uid=smith,ou=users,dc=example,dc=com Nothing works. In the webapp I just need users to put: jsmith in the user field. Keep in mind my ldap is using the "new" cn=config method of storing settings. So if someone has an obvious ldif I'm missing please provide. Let me know if you need further info. This is openldap on ubuntu 12.04. Thanks, Dave

  • DPM Coordinator Service is not responding

    Hi dear Gurus! I'm in stuck point now, so please at least try to help me. I've installed DPM 2010 on cluster server (w2k8 r2), everything was fine. Than I've tried tot install Protection Agent on both server of my cluster, but I'm getting error Error 312: The agent operation failed because the DPM Agent Coordinator service is not responding. Error details: The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it (0x80070422) Recommended action: Restart the DPM Agent Coordinator service on . And the thing is that I'm totally can't see DPM Agent Coordinator service not on the localhost, nor on the second server. All the suggestion, that I've found in the internet are suggesting to restart this service, but how can I perform this if the one is absent? I'll be glad for any help

  • Should be simple: existing laptop with local user and outlook 2007 migrate on same computer to domain user with outlook 2007 emails intact

    I have Dell Laptop with windows 7 64 bit and for the last year it's been just a machine with an account like: machine\john there are files in folders and stuff in c:\users\john and john uses outlook 2007 as a pop3 client and has identifiable local appdata pst files. Now I installed a server and want to have everything be domain-centric so I added this laptop to the domain with admin credentials and then logged in as a domain user as: domain\john.smith Now I want to duplicate machine\john (outlook emails mostly) to domain\john.smith. In the past I used the Files and Settings Xfer Wizard and done. I tried that here and it crunched away for a while, made the file, but the restore had no effect - it ran for a while, had a progress bar, but it's like nothing happened at all afterwards. I've rebooted the machine, logged in as domain administrator as the first user to log on after the restart and tried: c:\users\john xcopy c:\users\john c:\users\john.smith /V /C /F /H /K /Y /E ...and it copies some of it, but when it gets to c:\users\john.smith\appdata\local\application data it chokes "Access denied, unable to create directory" I also tried logging in as domain\john.smith and copying the entire directory that the PSTs are in from machine\john and a lot of the mail was there when I launched outlook after replacing the PSTs, but not all of them??? I got errors about files in use when doing this method, which I figure must be why not all the old emails are in the inbox?... There must be some extremely simple way to do what must be a very common requirement. Any guidance appreciated.

    I needed to take columns A, B, and C and compare D, E and F. Here's an example: A B C D E F Jump Smith 5 Jump Smith 8 Run Naylor 2 Swim Fran 4 Swim Fran 7 Jog Dylan 1 Jump Fran 3 Jog Smith 4 So I want to match column A and B with D and E but still have both number related C for 2011 and F for 2012. Can anyone please help with that formula? My data is from A3-C4344 and D3 - D4470.

  • Varnish: User specific pages

    I'm new to Varnish and am interested in using it to speed up my web application I wanted to know if Varnish can handle caching and serving user specific content. For example if I have a page say for example /welcome which is dynamically generated in the backend and is user specific So if User John Smith shows up to /welcome it'll show in the page itself 'Welcome John Smith' and if Bob Smith shows up to /welcome it'll show 'Welcome Bob Smith' Ideally both of those /welcome pages will be cached for each unique User, is this something Varnish can do? (is this even a good Use Case of Varnish?) Thanks!

    I'm trying to determine what Puppet thinks the environment is on my agent nodes. Per the documentation I've configured the agent's environment in /etc/puppet/puppet.conf as such [agent] environment = development In order to view the environment I've found this code to add an environment fact to facter: require 'puppet' Facter.add("environment") do setcode do Puppet[:environment] end end However, on one of my agent nodes, if I run sudo facter -p environment, the result is production. I've tried to manually set the environment temporarily via sudo puppet agent --environment development, however the result from facter is the same. Any idea what's going on?
