    How do I determine the length of an audio recording I am recording programaticaly? My current solution is to just time the start/stop recording events on the User Interface (literally the time the user hits record, then hits stop recording.) Given a .aac audio file, is there some library call in Objective-C or Python to determine its length?

  • Firefox 3.1 Beta 2 <audio> tag not working in RHEL 5

    Has anyone been playing with the Firefox 3.1 Beta 2 audio tag? The developer site says they added support for it but I can't get it to work in RHEL 5. I've tried it with both .wav and .ogg and all I get is the error message I put between the tags rather than it playing the audio file. Thanks.

    Hi there. I am at a loss here after searching around with no results. I am attempting to channel the audio specifically from an .mp4 for use in a driver. I am aware that there are programs which extract the audio from .mp4's, but I am looking for another approach without using external applications such as those.. is there any direction that someone can point me towards to solve this problem? I'm trying to create a "simple" program that allows me to create a list of video files (Youtube video's to be precise) that are then run through by my program and converted any given format to pure MP3 audio. For this purpose I'm trying to use the BASS.dll and well it isn't going so well. I was wondering if anyone has used BASS to convert from one audio format to another? Or is there another library better suited for this?
