  • XML Schema Header & Namespace Config

    Migrating from DTD to XSD and for some reason the transition is a bumpy one. I understand how to define the schema once I'm inside the <xs:schema> root tag, but getting past the header & namespace declaration stuff is proving to be especially confusing for me. I have been trying to follow the well-laid out tutorial on W3S but even that tutorial seems to assume a lot of knowledge up front. I guess what I'm looking for is a King's English explanation of which attributes do what, where they go, and why: xmlns xmlns:xs xmlns:xsi targetNamespace xsi:schemaLocation And in some cases I see different variations of these elements/attributes, such as xsi which seems to have two different notations like xsi:schemaLocation="..." and xs:import schemaLocation="...". I guess between all these slight variations I can't seem to make heads or tails of what each of these does. Thanks in advance for bringing any clarity to this confusion!

    I'm using the php class XSLTProcessor to generate HTML from a xsl. Within the xsl, I'd like all my custom namespace elements to be processed by my own processor class. So for example: <xsl:for-each select="doc/elements/*"> <doc:renderElement element="." /> </xsl:for-each> This should call the method renderElement of an instance of my custom processor class. I know I can enable calling php functions by using the registerPHPFunctions function. However, this only seems to support calling static methods.

  • Socket.io Duplicate clients on a namespace

    Hi I'm trying to use dynamic namespace to create them on demand. Is there some call or approach that will return the "s" or "local" value when given the object?     Hi! I have a working prototype of a game engine and right now I'm doing some refactoring. What I'm asking for is your opinion on usage of the following C++ coding patterns. What I want to have is a simple interface and ability to call functions as Algorithm::HandleInnerCollision(...) while not polluting the namespace with other functions such as is_inside(...)   • How can I use a class with the same name from another namespace in my class?

    I have two classes with the same name in different namespaces. I want one of these classes to reference the other class. The reason is that I am migrating to some newer code and I want to update the old code to simply pass through to the newer code.   • Implementing Struts 2 Interceptors using Struts 1

    Hello all, I have a legacy application written with Struts 1. The only feature I was asked to add is to protect some actions. Currently any user can do whatever he/she wants. The idea is to allows all user see the data, but block modification operation, i.e. to modify data a user should log in. I know Struts2 has interceptors, so I could attach them to required actions and forward users to log in page when needed. But how can I do similar thing in Struts 1 application? My first idea was to create my own abstract Action class: public class AuthenticatedAction { public ActionForward execute( ActionMapping mapping, ActionForm form, HttpServletRequest theRequest, HttpServletResponse theResponse) { if (!logged) { // forward to log in form } else { doExecute(mapping, form, request, response); } } public abstract ActionForward doExecute( ActionMapping mapping, ActionForm form, HttpServletRequest theRequest, HttpServletResponse theResponse); } Then change all actions that require authentication from extends Action to extends AuthenticatedAction then add login form, login action (which performs authentications and puts this status into the session) and change JSP header tile to display authentication block, e.g., "You are (not logged in)/", Login/Logout. As I guess this should solve the problem. If this doesn't solve the problem, please explain me why. Is there any better (more elegant like interceptors are) way to do this? Thank you in advance.

    Hi, guys. With my understading, the nature of a Action is that properties can be pushed w/ request parameter values. And, one wonderful feature is that Struts2 allows you to directly populate parameter values against Class type property ;) Assuming there exists a Action and property class as below, class Action extends ActionSupport { User user; @Action(value="hello" {@result=(.......)}) public void execute() { ........ } ..... public void setUser(User user) { this.user = user; } public User getUser() { return this.user; } } class User { String name; ..... public void setName(String name) { this.name = name; } public String getName() { return this.name; } } you could populate User class property by doing like this. http://...../hello.action?user.name=John or via jsp page Then, I realize that there are actually people make an Action property as a Interface type.   • Problems finding classes in namespace and testing extend expected parent

    So I am in the process of building a site in ASP.Net MVC, and in the process I am adding certain things to my Site.Master I want to make sure that all of my model classes extend a certain base class that contains all of the pieces the Site.Master needs to be operable. I want to test to make sure this assumption isn't broken (I believe this will save me time when I forget about it and can't figure out why a new combination isn't working.) I wrote a test that I thought would help with this, but I am running into two problems. First it isn't finding the one example model class I have so far in the LINQ call all of a sudden, I am admittedly still a bit new to LINQ. Second, I had it finding the class earlier, but I couldn't get it to verify that the class inherits from the base class. Here is the example test. Funny to say that Data, Logging and other blocks are working compiling fine.   • JAXB, how to marshal without a namespace

    I have a fairly large repetitive XML to create using JAXB. Storing the whole object in the memory then do the marshaling takes too much memory. Essentially, my XML looks like this: <Store> <item /> <item /> <item /> ..... </Store> Currently my solution to the problem is to "hard code" the root tag to an output stream, and marshal each of the repetitive element one by one: aOutputStream.write("<?xml version="1.0"?>") aOutputStream.write("<Store>") foreach items as item aMarshaller.marshall(item, aOutputStream) end aOutputStream.write("</Store>") aOutputStream.close() Somehow the JAXB generate the XML like this <Store xmlns="http://stackoverflow.com"> <item xmlns="http://stackoverflow.com"/> <item xmlns="http://stackoverflow.com"/> <item xmlns="http://stackoverflow.com"/> ..... </Store> Although this is a valid XML, but it just look ugly, so I'm wonder is there any way to tell the marshaller not to put namespace for the item elements? Or is there better way to use JAXB to serialize to XML chunk by chunk?

    Hi all. I have a C++ project that uses a C bison parser. The C parser uses a struct of function pointers to call functions that create proper AST nodes when productions are reduced by bison: typedef void Node; struct Actions { Node *(*newIntLit)(int val); Node *(*newAsgnExpr)(Node *left, Node *right); /* ... */ }; Now, in the C++ part of the project, i fill those pointers class AstNode { /* ... */ }; class IntLit : public AstNode { /* ... */ }; extern "C" { Node *newIntLit(int val) { return (Node*)new IntLit(val); } /* ... */ } Actions createActions() { Actions a; a.newIntLit = &newIntLit; /* ... */ return a; } Now the only reason i put them within extern "C" is because i want them to have C calling conventions. But optimally, i would like their names still be mangled. They are never called by-name from C code, so name mangling isn't an issue. Having them mangled will avoid name conflicts, since some actions are called like error, and the C++ callback function has ugly names like the following just to avoid name clashes with other modules. extern "C" { void uglyNameError(char const *str) { /* ... */ } /* ... */ } a.error = &uglyNameError; I wondered whether it could be possible by merely giving the function type C linkage extern "C" void fty(char const *str); namespace { fty error; /* Declared! But i can i define it with that type!? */ } Any ideas? I'm looking for Standard-C++ solutions.

  • Which web framework or technologies would suit me?

    Hi, I had been working on desktop apps and server side(non web) for some time and now I am diving in to web first time. I plan to write a scalable enterprise level app. I have worked with Java, Javascript, Jquery etc. but I absolutely hate jsp. So is there any framework that focuses on developing enterprise level web apps without jsp. I liked Wicket's approach, but I think there is a little lack of support of dynamic html in it and jquery(yes i looked at wiquery). Also I feel making wicket apps scalable would take some sweat. Can Spring MVC, Struts2 etc. help me make with this with just using say Java, JavaScript, and JQuery. Or are there any other options for me like Wicket. Please do forgive if anything above looks insane, I am still working on my understanding with enterprise web apps. NOTE: If you think that I should take a different direction or approach, please do suggest!
