  Hi I am beginner for SSH stuff but i want to dump a big sql file and for that i need to be able to navigate to the appropriate path in my hosting account. I managed to login to SSH and i typed pwdbut it gave me a shared hosting pathway like /home/content/r/o/s/roshanjonah How Can i go to the path where i upload my files to...i use FTP but in FTP path it just shows / so i cannot go any further back than that...so using SSH how can i come to this path in ftp...   So i'm making small program and it download ziped XML database file that is ~30 MB size (unziped). As I understand there is only way with such big files on iPhone, it's to use NSXMLParser. But that file is encoded with windows-1257 format and NSXMLParser does not eat files like that. What can I do? Is there a way to change file encoding on iphone or make NSXMLParser work with other then UTF8 encoded files?

• Can an app use the clipboard for its own purposes? (read: who owns the clipboard?)

  In PowerBuilder's IDE, the code autocomplete feature uses the clipboard to communicate the completed text to the code window. By doing so, it overrides whatever was stored on the clipboard before. So, if you had the winning numbers of the next lottary stored on your clipboard, and you used the autocomplete to turn m_goodfor into m_goodfornothing, you've just lost your only chance of ever getting rich, and you're left with nothing on your clipboard. Features like that are the reason I hate software. It looks like it was implemented by some intern that noone was looking after. However, there's also a chance I got all worked up for nothing, and making such use of the clipboard is absolutely legit. So, can an app use the clipboard for its own purposes? Who is considered the owner of the clipboard? (Bonus votes to whoever puts himself in place of the feature's programmer, and provides some reasoning for this being done on purpose, assuming the users would actually benefite from it)

• If you are forced to use an Anemic domain model, where do you put your business logic and calculated

  Our current O/RM tool does not really allow for rich domain models, so we are forced to utilize anemic (DTO) entities everywhere. This has worked fine, but I continue to struggle with where to put basic object-based business logic and calculated fields. Current layers: Presentation Service Repository Data/Entity Our repository layer has most of the basic fetch/validate/save logic, although the service layer does a lot of the more complex validation & saving (since save operations also do logging, checking of permissions, etc).   We do have many frameworks available in Java. Struts, Swing, JSF 2.0, Spring etc are used as per their priority. Actually, I don't know how many they are as well! But, as I am fresher to Java, even learning after their architecture, I cannot decide which framework can be used with what type of Projects ! Also, I am confused with mixed use of framework like Spring + JSF. What is the benefit to it ? Another thing making me confusing is about the UI components available in market. Like, we do have Primefaces, Ice-faces, MyFaces, Rich-faces. They may or may not have been supporting AJAX in-built. They may contains some bugs as well. What is best choice for Framework + UI component that can directly provide a best feet solution for any project ?

• Visual Studio incorrectly smart indents the opening brace

  I'm wondering is there a difference in terms of computing cost for the Model.get(keys) and Model.get_by_id(ids, parent=None) methods? Is there a server side computing advantage of using numeric id's over encoded string keys, or other way around? How big is the difference? PS. Sorry, if it's a dupe. • EADDRNOTAVAIL when binding 127.0.0.1 on localhost?

  I'm getting errno==49 (EADDRNOTAVAIL) when trying to UDP-bind() to 127.0.0.1:47346 running Mac OS X on a G5 (big endian PowerPC). Is there something preventing me from doing so? I've tried other addresses and ports (192.168.1.2 and port 47346) but with no success. Here's a gdb printout of my sockaddr_in: $1 = { sin_len = 0 '\0', sin_family = 2 '\002', sin_port = 47346, sin_addr = { s_addr = 3232235778 }, sin_zero = "???\000\000??" }
