• XSD: Different sub-elements depending on attribute/element value

  Another XSD question - how can I achieve that the following XML elements are both valid: <some-element> <type>1</type> <a>...</a> </some-element> <some-element> <type>2</type> <b>...</b> </some-element> The sub-elements (either <a> or <b>) should depend on the content of <type> (could also be an attribute). It would be so simple in RelaxNG - but RelaxNG doesn't support key integrity :( Is there a way to implement this in XSD? Note: XML schema version 1.1 supports <xs:alternative>, which might be a solution, but afaik no reference implementation (e.g. libxml2) supports this yet. So I'm searching for workarounds. The only way I've come up with is: <type>1</type> <some-element type="1"> <!-- simple <xs:choice> between <a> and <b> goes here --> <a>...</a> </some-element> <!-- and now create a keyref between <type> and @type -->

• Does F# documentation have a way to search for functions by their types?

  Say I want to know if F# has a library function of type ('T -> bool) -> 'T list -> int ie, something that counts how many items of a list that a function returns true for. (or returns the index of the first item that returns true) I used to use the big list at the MSR site for F# before the documentation on MSDN was ready. I could just search the page for the above text because the types were listed. But now the MSDN documentation only lists types on the individual pages--the module page is a mush of descriptive text. Google kinda-sorta works, but it can't help with // compatible interfaces ('T -> bool) -> Seq<'T> -> int // argument-swaps Seq<'T> -> ('T -> bool) -> int // type-variable names ('a -> bool) -> Seq<'a> -> int // wrappers ('a -> bool) -> 'a list -> option<int> // uncurried versions ('T -> bool) * 'T list -> int // .NET generic syntax ('T -> bool) -> List<'T> -> int // methods List<'T> member : ('T -> bool) -> int Haskell has a standalone program for this called Hoogle. Does F# have an equivalent, like Fing or something?

• Modifying DIV CSS properties from within a deeply nested IFRAME.

  I'm working with a business intelligence tool that only gives me access to a deeply nested iframe to add code. Ideally I would like to use jQuery and/or plain old JavaScript to modify the left and position CSS of a div that is 3 iframes above my IFRAME. I have access to add JavaScript/HTML to divArea0_1 within the reportiframe IFRAME. I would like to modify the propdiv DIV contained within the JSTabbedPanel IFRAME. Something like that //b[text()="5"]/.. but with check of all children's tags. Please note that number of children tags can be different from node to node. It's possible with only xpath query? thanks

Can't I just say "catch every exception"? Update Redirect on a 404 works. I believe my for-each select statement may need to be modified but I can't figure out what is should be.   I may get killed for this but I have been trying for a few days using Prototype to show a hidden div when hovering over another div. I have this working fine in jquery but I could use some help porting it over to prototype.
