    If i have a controller action "Create" that returns a view with the following as the Model type: public class PaymentModel { public Model.SummaryInformation SummaryInformation; public Model.CardDetail CardDetail; } If there is a button on this view that POST's to an action "New" and I want that action to recieve a different object e.g. public class PaymentNewModel { public Model.CardDetail CardDetail; } Is this possible? I do not want to use the same Model when the view is rendered to the Model that is POSTed

  • Visual-C++ Linker Error

    I have a class called MODEL in which public static int theMaxFrames resides. The class is defined in its own header file. theMaxFrames is accessed by a class within the MODEL class and by one function, void set_up(), which is also in the MODEL class. The Render.cpp source file contains a function which calls a function in the Direct3D.cpp source file which in turn calls the set_up() function through a MODEL object. This is the only connection between these two source files and theMaxFrames. I mean: MyObject.objects.filter(datetime_attr=datetime.date(2009,8,22)) I get an empty queryset list as an answer because (I think) I am not considering time, but I want "any time". Is there an easy way in Django for doing this? * I have the time in the datetime setted, it is not 00:00.

    I have a jquery UI datePicker in my page. I have a text box on which the date is displayed. The code is: $("#cal").datepicker({ minDate: new Date(), defaultDate: new Date(), buttonImage: '/images/calendar.gif', constrainInput: false, closeText: 'Close', showButtonPanel: true, showButtonText: 'Choose a date', buttonImageOnly : true, showOn : 'button' }); $("#till").datepicker('setDate', today); I want to disable this on some conditions. I use the following code to disable: $("#cal").datePicker('disable'); It blacks out the text box but the image is still clickable. The problem is in IE, the date picker pop up comes up but does not close when the image button associated with the date picker is clicked. I also tried to bind a onclick function with the image to make it non-clickable. But that does not work as well. How can make the date picker image button non-clickable when the date picker is disabled. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Farzana

Where the code works and implements the right time, the end result is that, IF a user adds a time, then it has no date, and because it has no date, it will not show in results.     I have a list of tasks. A task is defined by a name, a due date and a duration. My TaskManager class handles a std::list<Task> sorted by due date. It has to provide a way to get the tasks due for a specific date. How would you implement that ? I think a good way (from API point of view) would be to provide a std::list<Task>::iterator pair. So I would have a TaskManager::begin(date) method. Do you think this method should get the iterator by iterating from the start of the list until it finds the first task due on that date, or by getting it from a std::map<date, std::list<Task>::iterator> (but then we have to keep it up-to-date when adding or removing tasks) ? And then, how could I implement the TaskManager::end(date) method ?

    so i create in my view: <%=date=Date.today%> How do i get the name of the month out of the date? I was trying to do sth like <%= DATE::ABBR_MONTHNAMES(date.month)%> But without success. I keep getting an error: uninitialized constant ActionView::Base::CompiledTemplates::MONTHNAMES How do i initialise the constant or is there any other way to get the name out of the Date format? would greatly appreciate any answers!

    Hey guys, I created a list for fixtures. $result = mysql_query("SELECT date FROM ".TBL_FIXTURES." WHERE compname = '$comp_name' GROUP BY date"); $i = 1; $d = "Start"; while ($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($result)) { $odate = $row['date']; $date=date("F j Y", $row['date']); echo "<p>Fixture $i - $d to $date</p>"; } As you can see from the query, the date is displayed from the fixtures table. The way my system works is that when a fixture is "played", it is removed from this table. Therefore when the entire round of fixtures are complete, there wont be any dates for that round in this table. They will be in another table. Is there anyway I can run an other query for dates at the same time, and display only dates from the fixtures table if there isnt a date in the results table? "SELECT * FROM ".TBL_CONF_RESULTS." WHERE compid = '$_GET[id]' && type2 = '2' ORDER BY date" That would be the second query!

What would be the fastest mysql table design for this, bearing in mind when users mark dates as available/booked they will do so via a start date and an end date. i can see 2 obvious options Store 'booked' data for every day [more rows] or, store 'booked' data with 2 columns a start_date and end_date [more processing?] Which is best or is there another method i'm missing?

    Hi, I am doing some unit testing for a DAO that works with postgresql. Some of the SQL queries that my DAO uses involve the DATE function. Is there an in-memory database that supports functions similar to the ones that postgresql does? Currently I am looking for support for the DATE function however, I obviously can see myself using other functions in the future.
