• Visual Studio Publish using Web Deploy gives SSL Exception?

  Im trying to use Web Deploy with arvixe hosting. I enabled Publishing with the host but I get SSL exception when I hit publish. Is anybody familiar with the following exception: Error 59 Web deployment task failed.(Could not complete the request to remote agent URL 'https://yew.arvixe.com:8172/msdeploy.axd?site=mywebsite.com'.) Could not complete the request to remote agent URL 'https://yew.arvixe.com:8172/msdeploy.axd?site=mywebsite.com'. • Disable IPV6 on specific NIC via PowerShell using a Com Object on Windows Server 2008 R2?

  I need to script some Windows Server 2008 R2 builds, preferably in PowerShell. I need to disable or uncheck IPV6 on a specific NIC (the same NIC every time). Currently, I have to set it manually. I do not want to disable IPV6 completely for the entire server other things may use that in the future. Is there an object I can reference in a PowerShell command specifying my NIC "Intel(R) PRO/1000 MT Network Connection" and disable IPV6? Unfortunately, Group Policy is not an option says the boss. I've tried finding an appropriate WMI object via "PowerShell Scriptomatic" but failed to find the difference between an enabled setting versus disabled on the Intel NIC. Thanks in advance.

  Hi... I'm adding in-app purchase on my application. I have a view that displays information about the product and one button for purchasing the product. My question was how can I stop the user to tap again the buy button so that the StoreManager will only call my Buy method once? Because sometimes I had tapped it twice that's why two alertView shows up asking about the purchase. Should I set the button "enabled property" to no after I tap. Any suggestions that would be good about this... thanks in advance.

• IIS 8 - PHP Manager - Enabling php_oci8.dll for Oracle Connection

  I would need to connect to Oracle DB in my PHP codes. I'm using Windows Server 2012, IIS 8 with PHP Manager. I opened IIS PHP Manager, then go to PHP Extensions, then I enabled "php_oci8.dll" extension. However when I tried to connect to Oracle DB I'm getting the following PHP error: PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function oci_connect() I just restarted the IIS using the IIS Manager, but didn't done computer reboot. Do I need to reboot? Do I also need to download "instantclient-basic-windows.x64-12.1.0.1.0.zip"? If yes, do I just need to set it to classpath "Path" where I extracted? • What's a good way to write XML in C++?

  There are plenty of Libraries to parse XML, but it seems there aren't many good (?) ways to write XML in C++. Libraries I've been using so far: PugiXML: really lightweight, very straightforwarded API, but it seems to lack a way to write XML (Or I haven't found it yet) RapidXML: I don't have much experience with RapidXML; But it does look nice. TinyXML: I find it odd that the STL TinyXML needs to be explicitly "enabled" in TinyXML - I mean, if your compiler doesn't support the STL, get a better one! Anyway, to make my point clear, I have written a PHP Script that does what I plan to do in C++: http://codepad.org/RyhQSgcm I really appreciate any help!

  My website has been giving me intermittent errors when trying to perform any Ajax activities. The message I get is Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerParserErrorException: The message received from the server could not be parsed. Common causes for this error are when the response is modified by calls to Response.Write(), response filters, HttpModules, or server trace is enabled. Details: Error parsing near ' So its obviously some sort of server timeout or the server's just returning back mangled garbage. This generally, unfortunately not always, happens when the site has been idle for a while. Anybody else been able to overcome this? Thanks

• generating an asp.net web application dll requirement list

  I'm trying to set up a web app (32bit on ii7/win7, 32bit setting is enabled, everything is compiled to x86, using vs2008), but there's clearly some dll module loading issue happening. I've been watching procmon and fusion logs but I'm not seeing the name of the missing dll. I'm a complete newbie to asp.net (but fairly heavy experience on other platforms). I know I can call depends.exe on a binary to see what the dependancies are, but how do I do it for asp.net? specifically, is it possible to get a list of the dlls that iis7 loads for my application?

• Couldn't run loadjava on user schema to load dbwsclientws.jar dbwsclientdb102.jar

  I am trying to load oracle webservice client jars to my schema. I did set the PATH to inlcude: /u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/bin When I try to run loadjava as "loadjava -u myschema/myscehmapwd -r -v -f -genmissing dbwsclientws.jar dbwsclientdb102.jar" I am getting error: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/aurora/server/tools/loadjava/LoadJavaMain. Does it mean that jvm is not setup on the box? How can I check if the jvm is enabled or not? I am running it on Oracle 10g in UNIX environment. Any help with the issue is greatly appreciated.

• Joomla article not showing in the frontend but its visible in administrative part.

  I have a very big article to be put into our joomla site. At first I was getting "Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 285487 bytes) in..." . But then I increased the memory_limit in php.ini . And I was able to create the article. Now I can view the article by logging into backend. But the article is not at all visible in the front end. If I click on the menu item pointing to that article, all I can see is a blank page with nothing in it. All other articles in the site are visible properly. Any idea? ps: I have enabled the error reporting to maximum, also ran the site in debugging mode. But saw nothing unusual.

  I am trying to monitor an application available on remote machine using VisualVM & Visual GC. I have enabled the jmxremote on the remote side as follows: -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote, -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.port=8888, -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.ssl=false, -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.authenticate=false While monitoring through VisualVM, everything runs fine but VisualGC doesn't displays any stats (getting Not Supported for this JVM error). While tried to monitor one local application, VisualGC runs fine... Got success with the remote app once started jstad on the remote jvm. Is this a known issue with VisualGC...? • Mod_rewrite with multiple variables

  Hello, I'm using a PHP script that dynamically generates transparent PNGs for use as CSS backgrounds from a query string that takes RGBa and HSLa values. The original script can be found here, I've only added HSLa support. Because background URLs with PHP query strings aren't very pretty, and because it seems to break the IE 6 transparent PNG hack, I thought of using mod_rewrite to allow the script to be called when a .png with this syntax is called : /assets/colors/h[0-360 value]_s[0-100 value]_l[0-100 value]_a[0-100 value].png which would be rewritten to : /assets/colors.php?h=[0-360 value]&s=[0-100 value]&l=[0-100 value]&a=[0-100 value] Here's the issues I'm encountering : passing multiple variables with mod_rewrite using an underscore as a delimiter I know this could be done by passing a single variable and then exploding it in the PHP script, however I would prefer it to be done by Apache. Thanks in advance and if anyone wants my HSLa enabled version of the script just ask. Anyway I recommend you check it out on it's author's website.

• Control SQL Server CLR Reserved Memory

  I've recently enabled CLR on my 64 bit SQL Server 2005 machine for usage of about 3 procs. When I run the following query to gather some info on memory usage... select single_pages_kb+ multi_pages_kb + virtual_memory_committed_kb as TotalMemoryUsage, virtual_memory_reserved_kb from sys.dm_os_memory_clerks where type = 'MEMORYCLERK_SQLCLR' I get 129 mb MemoryUsage and 6.3 gb Virtual Memory Reserved The total memory of the machine is 21 gig. What does reserved virtual memory mean exactly and how can I control the size that is allocated? 6 gig is overkill for what we're doing and the memory would be much better utilized by the sproc cache. I'm concerned this reserved memory will cause swapping to the page file. Please help me take back control of the memory! Thanks

  Im stuck when trying to write to my file within my subprogram. void new_page(float *a, float *b, float *c, int *d){ fprintf(results,"\nPage Totals: %f\t%f\t%f\t%d", *a,*b,*c,*d); } I get a warning saying "Warning: incompatible implicit declaration of built-in function 'fprinf' [enabled by default]" "error: 'results' undeclared (first use in this function)" in main fprintf works fine, its just when it comes to the subprogram/function it wont work. from my understanding it thinks that results is undeclared, so do i have to pass the name or location of the file to make it work?

  I tried googling for this issue and found many people with the same problem but no solution. $result = exec("C:\\Ruby191\\bin\\lessc.bat less\\$file", $output); Here result is an empty string and output an empty array. Same thing with: $result = exec("cmd /c C:\\Ruby191\\bin\\lessc.bat less\\$file", $output); I am sure the path is correct; I am sure exec() is enabled. I tried exec, shell_exec, system and none work. lessc is less CSS.

  Hello, I'm new to Android development and working on an Android application that requires the phone to be connected to the internet, through either Wifi, EDGE or 3G. This is the code that I'm using: public static boolean isConnected() { ConnectivityManager cm = (ConnectivityManager) getSystemService(Context.CONNECTIVITY_SERVICE); return cm.getActiveNetworkInfo().isConnectedOrConnecting(); } I've also set these permissions in the manifest file: <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET" /> <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE" /> This works fine in the emulator running version 1.5 of Android when 3G is enabled, but it crashes when I disable the 3G connection. My application throws a null pointer exception when I call isConnectedOrConnecting(). Hope that anyone knows the solution to this. Thanks in advance!

  Hi all I have followed the instructions on the Android website on how to download the latest android source code files but it gives errors when i run this command: repo init -u git://android2.git.kernel.org/platform/manifest.git It gives the following error: Getting repo ... from git://android.git.kernel.org/tools/repo.git android.git.kernel.org[0: 199.6.1.176]: errno=Connection refused android.git.kernel.org[0: 130.239.17.12]: errno=Connection refused fatal: unable to connect a socket (Connection refused) On checking forums for its resolution, i was told that port 9418 was being blocked. I use Ubuntu 10.04 and ensured that the firewall wasnt blocking the port and also enabled the port and the above IP addresses. I also spoke to the networking peeps who ensured that no traffic from the internet is being blocked. I would be glad if i could get directions on how to proceed next. Many thanks as you respond. • Avoid postback on gridview event

  1 I've got popup (using javascript) working in a kind of gridview. When you click a button on one grid, it displays a popup window containing another grid of information, based on the row clicked in the first grid. This works well... I've enabled editing in the grid that is popped up. When you click edit though, the popup window disappears. If I click the display button in the first grid though to bring the popup window visible again it displays, and is now in edit mode. Is there a way to make postbacks in the popup not close the popup?

  I am running a local development Drupal site on a Windows machine. I am trying to use the dd($data, $label = NULL) function from the devel module to help debug. Using this function, should write debug info to a drupal_debug.txt file in the /tmp folder on the machine where the Drupal site is hosted. On my Windows machine, although I am using this function, the drupal_debug.txt file is not getting created anywhere, leading me to believe I am using the function incorrectly. • Getting meaningful error messages from fstream's in C++

  What is the best way to get meaningful file access error messages, in a portable way from std::fstreams ? The primitiveness of badbits and failbits is getting to be bit annoying. I have written my own exception hierarchies against win32 and POSIX before, and that was far more flexible than the way the STL does it. I am getting "basic::ios_clear" as an error message from the what method of a downcasted catch (std::exception) of a fstream which has exceptions enabled. This doesn't mean much to me, although I do know what the problem is I'd like my program to be a tad more informative so that when I start deployment a few months later my life will be easier. Is there anything in Boost to extract meaningful messages out of the ofstream's implementation cross platform and cross STL implementation ?

• FastCGI has to be restarted for new content to be displayed on my Django site

  I'm currently testing serving my Django site with Nginx, FastCGI and Flup. The server is configured roughly as described in the Django Advent article. I had to do some minor modifications in order to make it work in Ubuntu 9.10. The problem is that when I add new content it doesn't show up on the page before I restart the FastCGI process. I haven't enabled any caching functionality in Django, and when I query the DB from the Django shell it works as expected. Anybody got ideas to what's causing this?

• Any way to chunk gzip with Apache and PHP

  I have a web application on a site that takes a while (~10 seconds) to complete a portion of the page near the bottom - it has been as optimized as it can be, and caching is not an option. We have compression enabled on the server via an .htaccess directive SetOutputFilter DEFLATE the problem is this causes the whole page to be held until completion before it starts outputting to the user, this is not optimal as the user sees nothing until the page completes. I have also tried it via the php ob_start("ob_gzhandler"); method. Currently I have a <FilesMatch > in my .htaccess restricting this specific script from being compressed. Basically my question is this - Is there a way to say chunk gzip or deflate so that the user gets it in pieces, so they can see that the page has begun loading?
