• Jquery 3d image carousel - IE6 transparency

  I'm using the 3d image carousel available at http://www.professorcloud.com/mainsite/carousel.htm . It's great but I've hit a wall with regards to transparency support for IE6. As the images are being manipulated by java after they are loaded, it's quite a headache. All the mainstream png fixes fail in one way or another...either breaking the carousel or being broken by the animation of the carousel. Does anybody have any ideas on how I can get round this (without using PNG8, .gif etc).

• Munin Mongodb Plugin Not Showing. . . ?

  I have installed munin and munin-node on my monitoring server and installed munin-node on my mongodb server, I have set them both up and all is working great. But, the mongodb plugins aren't showing on my monitoring server. I see the node listed and "Disk, Network, Processes, System", but not the mongo stuff. If I execute one of the plugins directly on the mongo server "python /usr/share/munin/plugins/mongo_btree" it returns output, but nothing shows on the monitoring server.

• Testing site performance with multiple browsers and versions

  We're trying to document the performance difference of our site using different browsers. We use LoadRunner for load testing but I don't see a way to specify the "browser engine" it uses to run it's tests (perhaps it's using it's own?). In any event I'm not sure that LoadRunner is the right tool for this job but we own it so if we can use it, great. If not, is there another tool out there that I can use to record a script and run it automatically against a site using several different browsers?

  I'm looking for a good open source web editor that will take xsd (or some other standard XML) and from that generate web forms that will enable the end user to generate standard xml (without knowing anything about xml obliviously). I took a look at kupu, but there doesn't seem to be much documentation and the site appears to no longer exist. Is there anything out there that does this already.   In my MySQL table Winners, I have a list of people who have won. What I'd like to do is select a list of the names of 10 winners. So what I have right now is this: SELECT name FROM Winners ORDER BY points DESC LIMIT 10 This returns the first 10 winners which is great. But how can I make it (for example) return 10 winners, but starting at 20th place?

• Is it possible to stop a javascript with Firebug without using breakpoints?

  Is it possible with Firebug to stop a javascript with a press of a button or a keyboard shortcut instead of stopping it by setting a breakpoint? Why would I like to do this? We have a very dynamic website with lots of animations. It would be a great help if I could just stop the scripts at the moment the animation is doing something I want to inspect. That would be a lot faster than fiddling with the breakpoints.

How would I go about changing this script to run "pdf2swf test.pdf test.swf" if "pdf2swf test.opt.pdf test.swf" fails? If the second attempt fails, then I would "exit 2". Thanks

  Hi, Here's what I'm trying to do: joomla in 1 subdirectory, wordpress in another. mysite.com directs to the joomla directory mysite.com/blog gives wordpress. I would also like to use seo friendly permalinks for both. I am using Zeus Linux shared hosting with Joomla 1.5 and wordpress 2.9.2, and having a great deal of trouble finding a suitable rewrite script. Any help would be very much appreciated! Thank you.
