• Eclipse wont open Android Xml files

  I'm just starting with Android and everything seems to be working fine, but when I try to look at any XML file in eclipse, I get the following error. The only way I can see them is by "Opening With" - TextFile. org.eclipse.core.runtime.CoreException: Error opening the Android XML editor. • MySQL won't start or won't installed

  Hi there, I'm trying to get a local LAMP setup on my Ubuntu desktop.   Following a MSDN web page, I am trying to manually run mstest within my tfsbuild.proj and put the results into the pass/fail logic so the build will fail if this particular test fails. It's kind of like running a FxCop or something else from CMD and capturing a "0" or "1" and force-fail the build. MSTest /testcontainer:test.dll /publish:http://ourtfsmachine:8080 /teamproject:ProjectName /publishbuild:BuildNumber01 /platform:AnyCpu /flavor:Release I could understand running this inside an Exec task, butI don't know what the BuildNumber is, for example. • Create a UPnP Control Point in Silverlight

To me that implies that I'll need to use COM interop with Microsoft's upnp.dll (and the SL application will have to be out of browser and platform specific). Is there any source code available in C# that shows how to create a control point with Microsoft's stack? The effect i am after is similar to the Windows Vista window border effect, where you can see that something is behind it but you cant tell what it is.   Hi, I was learning about Intel 8086-80486 CPUs and their interactions with HW. But I still don´t understand it quite well. Please, help me fill blank spots. First, I know that CPU communicates with HW using BIOS interrupts. But, what really happens in PC, when I call some INT instruction? I know that according the interrupt table some instructions begin to execute, but how by executing some instructions can BIOS recognize what I want to do? Becouse as far as I know, CPU has no extra communication channel with BIOS, it can only adress memory and receive data. So how can I instruct BIOS to do something, when I can only address RAM? Next thing I don't understand is about privilege levels. I know about ring model, and access rights, but how does the CPU know which privilege level has executed an instruction? I think that these privileges apply only when intruction is trying to address memory, but how does an application get its privilege level? I mean I know its level 3, but how is it set? And last thing, I know that paging is address scheme that is used to support aplication-transparent virtual memory, or swapping, but I could not find any information about how paging is tied with protected mode. Like if paging is like next mode independent of protected mode, or its somehow implemented within protected mode. And if it is implemented in protected mode, isn´t it too slow, to first address application space, then offset, and then paging folder, page and offset once again?

• qt qmake mkspecs relative path

  Hello, when I compile Qt with Windows SDK 7.0, I use : configure.exe -shared -platform win32-msvc2008 -ltcg -no-dsp -no-vcproj nmake ...no error occured. But when I move or change name of my Qt folder, qmake.exe said me makespec is not defined, so I configure my QMAKESPEC to win32-msvc2008, I try again, but now it said me it cannot find mkspecs folder, it try to find this folder only where I compiled Qt (absolute path), I want qmake.exe use relative path : ../mkspecs/ not C:\qt-4.6.2\mkspecs. How can I solve this issue ?

  I have a website and I have installed URL Rewrite using Web Platform Installer. I wish to allow a user friendly URL like www.foo.com/123456 to go to www.foo.com/page.aspx?blah=123456. Using the User-friendly URL template accomplishes this except that the created rule also matches all of the /scriptresource.axd?blahblah created by ASP.NET which of course breaks most functionality. My initial attempts to exclude the script resource files have failed. The regex generated by the tool is ^([^/]+)/?$

The application have a good internet connection and there is no problem reaching the app server-side api. I see in analytics that lots of startups and click-events the past few days are lost, even I know the traffic is normal since i can see statistics from the the server api. In the analytics reports I see a day by day under-reporting. So the problems seems to be spreading/growing to all the devices using this application. Im wondering why google does not answer this in their mail-groups - several people have complained about this...well, well... If there is nothing I can do to fix it, I guess its not my fault that it got broken. But i got a feeling it is, since the problem got dramatically worse on the last deploy to Android market. Any suggestions as to why Visual Studio 2010's conversion wizard is doing this?

  I am trying to write a Java program that logs what application I'm using every 5 seconds (this is a time tracker app). I need some way to find out what the current active window is. I found KeyboardFocusManager.getGlobalActiveWindow() but I can't get it to work right. A cross platform solution is preferable, but if one doesn't exist, then I'm developing for linux with X.Org. • How to permanently "renice" a process on Mac OS X (or iOS, etc)?

  I use a nice (free) process manager called ATMonitor for Mac OS X that has a lot of cool hidden features... one of which is being able to click on a running process.. and set the "renice" from +20 (less priority) to -20 (highest priority). The best part.... it sticks between restarts... SO you want XYZ to get full attention all the time.. you set it once and it's done... I want to do the same thing (renice a process) on an iPad running a particular daemon.. and I don't know how to set a renice permanently. I can do it once, and it works fine... But the setting is lost on a reboot. I read somewhere.. Now, as for permanently resetting the priority of a process, this can't be done directly. You can fake it, however, with a shell script that starts the app and then immediately renice's it. Give that script a ".command" extension and it will be double-clickable in the GUI. Not very elegant, but it gets the job done. But as it says.. not very elegant, and I dont think this is how ATMonitor does it.... I found this thread.... http://superuser.com and they gave a way to do it as a launch argument, but no apparent way to save it as a persistent value... for instance - if the program wasn't going to be started by launchd... How do I set a permanent renice level, per executable binary, independent of it's PID, when, how or why it was launched?

• Cabal and zlib on OS X

  When I run "cabal update" on my Mac (Snow Leopard, Intel), I get: % cabal update Downloading the latest package list from hackage.haskell.org cabal: Codec.Compression.Zlib: incompatible zlib version Anyone else seeing this? Reinstalling the Haskell Platform hasn't helped. I'm unable to install or update Cabal packages at the moment, so I'd appreciate any help. Thanks!
