  I'm looking for a visual regression testing tool for CSS refactoring and see whether or not there are any unintended cascading behavior in a website. Ideally, the tool that can crawl a website (even locally) and grab snapshots of each page and store it in a single repository. When run for the second time, it will show the pages that are visually different since the last time it was run. Even better: if it can show the overlapper XOR view of the 2 version of the page. compare rendering results of different browsers (almost like an automated Microsoft Expression Web compare feature). • jQuery unbinding click event when maximum number of children are displayed

  I have a personal details form that alows you to enter a certain number of dependants which is determined by the JSP application. The first dependant is visible and the user has the option to add dependants up to the maximum number. All other dependants are hidden by default and are displayed when a user clicks the 'Add another dependant button'. When the maximum number of dependants has been reached the button is greyed out and a message is generated via jQuery and displayed to tell the user exactly this. The issue i am having is when the maximum number of dependants has been reached the message is displayed but then the user can click the button to add more dependants and the message keeps on generating. I thought unbinding the click event would sort this but it seems to still be able to generate a second message.   I have the this code that will create excel file and work sheet then insert same values. The problem I'm facing that I'm not able to save the file with name giving ten colse it. • Webrat says it can't find some text, but the text is actually there

  I have a webpage that has a form button on it called "delete", and a cuke scenario that has the line: And I should see "delete" When I run the scenario, I get this error: expected the following element's content to include "delete" ...and it dumps the webrat page to stdout and the "delete" is, in fact, not there. So far so good. However, when I tell webrat to show me the page before the error happens: Then show me the page And I should see "delete" ...Safari fires up and shows me the page, and in Safari there's the "delete" button, totally there. Why is webrat not finding the form button? I've also had this same problem with form fields, such as text inputs that have a value in them when the page loads, but webrat says there's nothing there. Looking at it in Safari shows, again, that the field does have the right text in it. Is this a bug, or is webrat just not suitable for checking form elements? Is there a different way to do this?   Hello, my question is How can I set overflow hidden in cases where the html go's outside the screen Right now I have set html {overflow: hidden;} in the head tag off the page. So, it's hidden all the time In my particular case the errors that I show in the registration process cannot be seen on my 13inch laptop, but I don't want to show the scrollbars all the time. That's why I want it to set(or unset) based on the fact if there is overflow or not. What would be the best way? thanks, Richard

• Reusable calendar popup like iCalendar/scheduler on iPad? Not a date picker wheel.

  I need a date picker that shows an actual calendar (similar to the built-in calendar feature on the iPad.) Is there a reusuable widget? How could I easily implement one? The date picker wheel is terrible because it doesn't show you the day of the week (Sun, Mon, Tue...) and isn't really needed on the iPad where you have enough room to show a calendar which is a very user friendly way of letting someone pick a date (it is mentally easy to find the third Tuesday from today.)

• Setting the position within a spinner

  Good Afternoon, I have a spinner array containing 3 spinners. Each spinner is populated via a res string array. Each array contains the numbers 1-100. When the activity starts each spinner contains a string array of 1-100 and when you click on a spinner the first choice is 1. Say a user picks 25 on the first spinner. I'd like the 2nd spinner to show 25 as the starting point for scrolling when the spinner is clicked but not fire the spinner. The 2nd spinner would still contain the array 1-100 though so a user could scroll down to a lessor number if the wanted to. I've tried using setSelection but that causes the 2nd spinner to fire causing undesirable effects (an edit box is populated with the 2nd number even though the user hasn't clicked the 2nd spinner). I would like the 2nd spinner to just show 25 as the starting point. How do I do this?

• UIComponent extended class isn't showing UIComponent extended class

  I have 1 class (that is extending a UIcomponent) that is representing a component. In that component I create different instances of another class that is also a UIComponent but this class doesn't show up in de first class. I see that it is running and that it has the correct hights but I got the feeling that it doesn't show up with this hights. If I trace I see the width and height is 200 X 200 but there is still nothing visible in my component I bet there is a simple solution for this problem?

• Errorprovider shows error on using windows close button(X)

  Hi guys, Is there any way to turn the damned error provider off when i try to close the form using the windows close button(X).   Hi, I'd like for log events of type WARN or higher to show the class name. All others would not show the class name. this is both to simplify the log and to not have the performance hit on lower events such as TRACE. This must all go to the same log file. • Google Maps & jQuery InfoWindow Replacement

  Hi all, So I'm rewriting my first google maps app and I'm looking at how I create info windows on click of a marker and it seems very inefficent to be adding a listener for each. Previously I've used GInfoWindow and EBubble (http://econym.org.uk/gmap/ebubble.htm). I was thinking that I could use jQuery to show a div with dynamic data if I had a hook for each marker to show the window and relevant marker info (pulled from JSON). I can see each marker has a unique id (e.g. mtgt_unnamed_2822) but I'm not sure how to predicte this. Has anyone tried this before or know how to go about it? Thanks Denis

• Page.ClientScript.RegisterClientScriptBlock problem in chrome, not registering

  Hello! I am using Page.ClientScript.RegisterClientScriptBlock to register a variable that tells the site to show something for the user (Don't need to get in to what is show). I am going to try to use RegisterStartupScript instead and see if i get any other result, i will get back on that. In my site i use jquery to look for that variable and do something if it exists. This works very well in IE 6,7,8 & FF but not in Chrome. In Chrome it works sometimes but most of the time it does not work, the variable does not get inserted on the page. The variable is beeing inserted in the Page_PreRender. Someone that has got a workaround for this or have experienced the same problem? Thanks

  I have created a non-form c# program that uses the NotifyIcon class. The text "(Click to Activate)" shows up when I hover the mouse. So I am getting some events handled. • JIRA JQL searching by date - is there a way of getting Today() (Date) instead of Now() (DateTime)

  I am trying to create some Issue Filters in JIRA based on CreateDate. The only date/time function I can find is Now() and searches relative to that, i.e. "-1d", "-4d" etc. The only problem with this is that Now() is time specific so there is no way of getting a particular day's created issues. i.e. Created < Now() AND Created >= "-1d" when run at 2pm today will show all issues created from 2pm yesterday to 2pm today when run at 9am tomorrow will show all issues created from 9am today to 9am tomorrow What I want is to be able to search for all issues created from 00:00 to 23:59 on any day. Is this possible?

  my site has three div elements, header, content and footer. i have a picture in header, and i want, that under big resolutions too it looks nice. so i take big image, with 1800px width. by so it looks nice in resolution of 1800, but now, in small resolutions(for example 1024), it shows only first 1024px of my picture, but i want it to show the center 1024px of picture. so is there any way, to set the backgound-image very big, but in small resolutions show center part of image? #header { background-image:url(../img/bg_header1.jpg); background-repeat:no-repeat; height:357px; width:100%; } thanks in advance

I've been googling the best approach for the pie chart, but still looking for the best answer for my problem. It's easy to query the data from the database, but I want to show it using the flot pie chart and I need it for statistic reports.   hi, i am trying to show a list of users of my application "school", when admin logs in then he can view all the users in list but when school principals logins, he should get only users of his school, So i thought to get the current loggedIn userId first and then by that userId i'll get schoolId since userId is foreign key in school table...once i'll get the schoolId i can show the members of that school. But my problem is how to get the UserID of currently loggedIn.   I have a TreeView which uses a custom ItemsPanel to show the first level of items in a StackPanel, but I need to show subitems in a StackPanel too. The problem is, the second level of items are shown in a WrapPanel, and as HierarchicalDataTemplate doesn't have an itemsPanel property I'm not sure how to do this.
