  • Getting path of file copied after deployment in a unit test C#

    Hi, The connection string in my app.config for my C# project looks like Data Source=.\SQLEXPRESS;AttachDbFilename='|DataDirectory|\EIC.mdf';Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True" I am writing unit tests for the project and have the set the test run configuration to copy the EIC.mdf, but I do am not able to reference the Deployed copy of EIC.mdf to be referenced by the app.config I created for the test project. If I set it to Data Source=.\SQLEXPRESS;AttachDbFilename='EIC.mdf';Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True" It still does not find the mdf file.

  • Hadoop write directory

    Simple question but reading through documentation and configuration I can't quite seem to figure it out. How do I A) know where hadoop is writing to on the local disk and B) change that For initial testing I setup HDFS on a 20gb linux VM - to it we've added a 500gb networked drive for moving towards prototyping the full system. So now how do I point HDFS at that drive, or do I simply move the home directory/install with some slight change in setup and restart the process?

The problem is that, whenever bots hit the site, they tend to inflate the page views. Does anyone have an idea on how to go about eliminating bot views from the view count of these applications?

What I want to do is overlay a transparent .png file in the corner of the active window while a capture is in progress so that all the videos created by my application are watermarked.     How can you tell whether or not a given parameter is an rvalue in C++03? I'm writing some very generic code and am in need of taking a reference if possible, or constructing a new object otherwise. Can I overload to take by-value as well as by-reference and have the rvalue returns call the by-value function? Or do I have a very sickening feeling that this is why rvalue references are in C++0x?

  • How can I determine if a file is read-only for my process on *nix?

    Using the stat function, I can get the read/write permissions for: owner user other ...but this isn't what I want. I want to know the read/write permissions of a file for my process (i.e. the application I'm writing). The owner/user/other is only helpful if I know if my process is running as the owner/user/other of the file...so maybe that's the solution but I'm not sure of the steps to get there.

  • Is there a way to efficiently yield every file in a directory containing millions of files?

    I'm aware of os.listdir, but as far as I can gather, that gets all the filenames in a directory into memory, and then returns the list. What I want, is a way to yield a filename, work on it, and then yield the next one, without reading them all into memory. Is there any way to do this? I worry about the case where filenames change, new files are added, and files are deleted using such a method. Some iterators prevent you from modifying the collection during iteration, essentially by taking a snapshot of the state of the collection at the beginning, and comparing that state on each move operation. If there is an iterator capable of yielding filenames from a path, does it raise an error if there are filesystem changes (add, remove, rename files within the iterated directory) which modify the collection? There could potentially be a few cases that could cause the iterator to fail, and it all depends on how the iterator maintains state. Using S.Lotts example: filea.txt fileb.txt filec.txt Iterator yields filea.txt. During processing, filea.txt is renamed to filey.txt and fileb.txt is renamed to filez.txt. When the iterator attempts to get the next file, if it were to use the filename filea.txt to find it's current position in order to find the next file and filea.txt is not there, what would happen? It may not be able to recover it's position in the collection. Similarly, if the iterator were to fetch fileb.txt when yielding filea.txt, it could look up the position of fileb.txt, fail, and produce an error. If the iterator instead was able to somehow maintain an index dir.get_file(0), then maintaining positional state would not be affected, but some files could be missed, as their indexes could be moved to an index 'behind' the iterator. This is all theoretical of course, since there appears to be no built-in (python) way of iterating over the files in a directory. There are some great answers below, however, that solve the problem by using queues and notifications. Edit: The OS of concern is Redhat. My use case is this: Process A is continuously writing files to a storage location. Process B (the one I'm writing), will be iterating over these files, doing some processing based on the filename, and moving the files to another location. Edit: Definition of valid: Adjective 1. I have seen direct_to_template, but it passes an empty context. So how can I use a generic view and still get the power of RequestContext?

Currently I take the design and "slice" this up into HTML and CSS then I "plug" this into a CMS. I would class this as frontend development depending on the level of customisation required for the CMS.
