• Returning all "positions" of a list

  I Have a list with "a" and "b" and the "b"'s are somewhat of a path and "a"'s are walls. Im writing a program to make a graph of all the possible moves. I got the code running to check the first "b" for possible moves, but i have NO Idea how im going to find all "b"'s , even less check them all without repeating. Major issue im having is getting the tuple coordinates of the "b"'s out of the list. Any pointers/tips?

• Is it normal to get SQLITE_BUSY on a read only database?

  I have 2 processes: 1 is writing to a sqlite database, 1 is reading from the same database. Occasioally, I get SQLITE_BUSY on my selects. Is this normal? Is their some option or way I could open the database so that it blocks until it CAN complete the query? (I tried the FULLMUTEX option on the open call but it appeared to have no effect).

• Problem running apps fullscreen in emulator

  I've created a device targeting 2.1 and having a screen screen size of 480x800 (WVGA). Some apps, including the one I'm currently writing, as well as the ApiDemos example, won't run fullscreen. I've uploaded a screenshot here: http://img248.imageshack.us/img248/503/emulator.png What could cause something like this? If I run these apps on my HTC Desire (which has the same resolution), they utilize the whole screen like they should.

  Hi. Sorry about the vocabulary question, but I'm writing my master thesis and it's a pain to repeat "frameworks that support dynamic class creation" again and again. Is there a term for that? Some clarification: I mean that you can create a class at runtime, i.e., dynamically. For example, .NET supports this with the System.Reflection namespace. Thanks :)

  Hi, im just writing my own replace method for any weird characters and i used the ASCI value 0, null to replace unwanted characters, i was hoping for them to be 'deleted', but this doesnt work. A gap just appears in the string. What exactly does String.Replace() do when removing a character for ""? Does it shift them all down and then 'delete' the final character or something?

If use the following statement, however: format(A20,ES18.8,A12,ES18.8) I get output like this: p001t0000 3.49141273E+01obsgp_oden 1.00000000E+00 I would prefer this: p001t0000 3.49141273E+01 obsgp_oden 1.00000000E+00 I tried using negative values for width (like in Python) but no dice. I am writing an application that may use close to 1000 socket objects, a handful of acceptor objects, and many thousand timer objects. I've configured it such that there's a thread pool invoking io_service::run and use strands in the appropriate places to ensure my handlers do not stomp on each other. My platform is Red Hat Enterprise Linux with Boost 1.39, though I'm not opposed to upgrading to a more recent version of boost.

  Hi, I've been testing a PHP script that I'm posting values to every few seconds (latitude and longitude to be specific) and am wondering if there's an easier way to see what values are being sent to the script. Right now I'm writing the data to a txt file on my server, and refreshing the page every so often to see what values have been posted recently.
