  I am creating a site that allow users to vote on webpages similar to digg.com. Users login with 'facebook connect' and logged in users can submit, vote, comment, etc and these details appear in their profile ie. number of submits, votes, comments, etc. I have also added in facebook 'likes' to the system. I would however like to be able replace the internal voting platform with facebook 'likes'. What I would like to be able to do is identify when any of the site users vote on a facebook 'like'. Although a facebook 'like' can be made outside of my site I am only interested when a logged in user submits a 'like' so this can contribute towards their stats. Is this possible, if so how? • ASP.NET MVC 2 RTM - favicon not displayed in Internet Explorer

  I have the following two lines in the head section in my masterpage: <link rel="shortcut icon" href="/Content/Images/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" /> <link rel="icon" href="/Content/Images/favicon.ico" type="image/ico" /> However, the favicon is not displayed in Internet Explorer (version 6, 7, 8). In Firefox and Safari the favicon works fine. I have even tried to replace href with the URL to my website (http://www......./Content/Images/favicon.ico) but that still does not work in Internet Explorer. Am I missing something?

  I am making a flash card application. It shows the question and then a textbox for user input, all wrapped in a border or rectangle. So what I want is an animation that "flips" the rectangle or border upside-down and then their is text on the "back". Also, I want my application to APPEAR transition from one card to another by "flying off" the screen then "another" card comes in to replace the other one in the opposite direction. But actually I'm want just a little animation of the border or rectangle moving off the screen then coming back in, but in the opposite direction.

  I have developed a Java Web Application and I want to show it to my client by hosting it on a server. I tried to run it on my localpc through web-browser and it worked fine. I gave the hostname as "localhost" in the URL of my webApplication. Now I want to show it to my client who is on other computer on internet. I tried to replace the "localhost" from my webApplication's url to my current ip address. But when I put that URL on my own browser, it didn't work. How can I show that web-application to my client. I have my own domain name but do not own any web-hosting. I don't want to purchase a web-hosting plan. One more problem: I don't have static IP address. My IP changes almost everytime when I connect to my ISP.

  I'm trying to create a ggplot2 plot with the legend beneath the plot. The ggplot2 book says on p 112 "The position and justification of legends are controlled by the theme setting legend.position, and the value can be right, left, top, bottom, none (no legend), or a numeric position". This class will replace the Model during the development of the page. It will also hold some test data for the user to have the chance to see some results. Once we are happy with the layout on the screen, I will inherit the correct Model class through the Control tag. Can you please advise if this is possible and how to do it?   Hello, Just learning Python and trying to do a nested for loop. What I'd like to do in the end is place a bunch of email addresses in a file and have this script find the info, like the sending IP of mail ID.   Hi, I have to sync large files across some machines. The files can be up to 6GB in size. The sync will be done manually every few weeks. I cant take the filename into consideration because they can change anytime. My plan is to create checksums on the destination PC and on the source PC and than copy all files with a checksum, which are not already in the destination, to the destination.   We need to write unit tests for a wxWidgets application using Google Test Framework. The problem is that wxWidgets uses the macro IMPLEMENT_APP(MyApp) to initialize and enter the application main loop. This macro creates several functions including int main(). The google test framework also uses macro definitions for each test. One of the problems is that it is not possible to call the wxWidgets macro from within the test macro, because the first one creates functions.. So, we found that we could replace the macro with the following code: wxApp* pApp = new MyApp(); wxApp::SetInstance(pApp); wxEntry(argc, argv); That's a good replacement, but wxEntry() call enters the original application loop. If we don't call wxEntry() there are still some parts of the application not initialized. The question is how to initialize everything required for a wxApp to run, without actually running it, so we are able to unit test portions of it?

  Does anyone know how I can add text into the toolbar? I would like to add some text to one of the buttons just like how the button for "Source" has the small icon, but also has the word "Source" beside it to describe what that button does. Basically none of my test users knows that the little mountain icon is used insert an image. Because of this, I would like to either replace that icon with the words "upload image" or I'd like to keep that little mountain icon, and have the words "upload image" beside it, to help people understand that's the icon for images.

  Sorry for the long and yet still somehow vague title! A friend of mine has a Flash Action script running on a LAMP server that currently reads an xml config file. He's asked me if it's possible to remove the xml file, and replace it somehow with a system (lets call it an 'auto xml generator') that intercepts the request to read that file and generates an output, so it appears to all intents and purposes as if the file still exists and contains the contents that has actually been returned from our auto xml generator Hours of Googling has failed to come up with any promising leads, can anyone offer any advice? • ffdshow codec can not work with media play 12 in windows 7 ?

  The reason of this issue is caused by media player 12 (in windows 7 professional) using mircsoft default codec which don't support mp4 decode. The ffdshow codec can not replace microsoft default codec in windows 7 (windows7 does not allow that in default). I find some third party tools can switch media player default codec to ffdshow but this is really inconvenience for our customer. Is there any way I can make a program to switch microsoft default codec to ffdshow codec? Like change some entries in windows registry?

  I have a web application with an upload functionality for HTML files generated by chess software to be able to include a javascript player that reproduces a chess game. I do not like to load the uploaded files in a frame so I reconstruct the HTML and javascript generated by the software by parsing the dynamic parts of the file. The problem with the HTML is that all attributes values are surrounded with an apostrophe instead of a quotation mark. I am looking for a way to fix this using a library or a regex replace using c#. If I replace the LIKE with something such as: SELECT col1, col2 FROM table1 t1 JOIN table2 t2 ON t1.cityid = t2.cityid where t1.cityname = ? order by t1.cityname It works fine. I do open/close the DB before after the above code. Is there a way to troubleshoot exactly why the database can't be opened and what its relationship to my LIKE syntax is?

  I am planning to replace repeatedly executed Statement objects with PreparedStatement objects to improve performance. I am using arguments like the MySQL function now(), and string variables. Most of the PreparedStatement queries I have seen contained constant values (like 10, and strings like "New York") as arguments used for the "?" in the queries. How would I go about using functions like now(), and variables as arguments? Is it necessary to use the "?"s in the queries instead of actual values? I am quite confounded.

  I'm using ants propertyregex method to change a property and it works fine up to a point. I'm lossing return characters. Here's what I'm trying to change: cluster.path=\ ${nbplatform.active.dir}/harness:\ ${nbplatform.active.dir}/platform:\ ${nbplatform.active.dir}/nb This is in a .properties file. So I'm trying to change it like this: <propertyregex property="cluster.path" input="${cluster.path}" regexp="nbplatform.active.dir" replace="xplatform.base" global="true" override="true"/> The stuff is replaced but I get: cluster.path= ${xplatform.base}/harness\: ${xplatform.base}/platform\: ${xplatform.base}/nb This brakes logic down the line not controlled by me (Netbeans) that uses the ':' as delimiter. Any idea?

  Hello, My question in a nutshell: Does anyone know of a TwitterAnalyzer or TwitterTokenizer for Lucene? More detailed version: I want to index a number of tweets in Lucene and keep the terms like @user or #hashtag intact. StandardTokenizer does not work because it discards the punctuation (but it does other useful stuff like keeping domain names, email addresses or recognizing acronyms). How can I have an analyzer which does everything StandardTokenizer does but does not touch terms like @user and #hashtag? My current solution is to preprocess the tweet text before feeding it into the analyzer and replace the characters by other alphanumeric strings. For example, String newText = newText.replaceAll("#", "hashtag"); newText = newText.replaceAll("@", "addresstag"); Unfortunately this method breaks legitimate email addresses but I can live with that.
