  • sprintf() to truncate and not round a float to x decimal places?

    Hi folks, When calculating a golf handicap differential you are supposed to truncate the answer to 1 decimal place without rounding. No idea why but... I know how to do this using TRUNCATE() in mySQL SELECT TRUNCATE( 2.365, 1 ); // outputs 2.3 but I was wondering if sprintf() could do this?     Hello, I'm writing a selenium grid test suite which is going to be run on a series of different machines. I wrote most of it on my macbook but have recently transfered it over to my work machine, which is running ubuntu 9.04. That's actually my first experience with a linux machine, so I may be missing something very simple (I have disabled the firewall though). I haven't been able to get the multienvironment thing working at all, and I've been trying and manual reviewing for a while. Any recommendations and help would be greatly, greatly appreciated!     hi , i'm trying to parse some html that is not on my server $dom = new DOMDocument(); $dom->loadHTMLfile("http://www.some-site.org/page.aspx"); echo $dom->getElementById('his_id')->item(0); but php returns an error something like ID his_id already defined in http://www.some-site.org/page.aspx, line: 33. I think that is because DOMDocument is dealing with invalid html. So, how can i parse it even though is invalid?

    All over the Internet, included even here at StackOverlow, people state that a good way to check if a request is AJAX or not is to do the following: strtolower($_SERVER['HTTP_X_REQUESTED_WITH']) == 'xmlhttprequest' ) However, I don't see $_SERVER['HTTP_X_REQUESTED_WITH'] in the official PHP documentation And when I try to do the following: echo $_SERVER['HTTP_X_REQUESTED_WITH']; Nothing is outputted. Am I doing something wrong? Because I'd really like to be able to use $_SERVER['HTTP_X_REQUESTED_WITH'] if it's available.
