• How to overlay one div over another div

  Hi, Hoping someone can assist but I need assistance with overlaying one individual div over another individual div, i.e. my code looks like this: <div class="navi"></div> <div id="infoi"><img src="info_icon2.png" height="20" width="32"/></div> Unfortunately I cannot nest the infoi div or img inside the first div (class navi) - it has to be two separate divs as shown but I need to know how I could place the img div over the first div (navi) and to the right most side and centered on top of the navi div. Would appreciate any help is achieving this (hopefully it's possible) Thanks.

• nginx reverse proxy cannot access apache virtual hosts

  I am setting up nginx as a reverse proxy. The server runs on directadmin and lamp stack. I have nginx running on port 81. I can access all my sites (including virtual ips) on the port 81. However when I forward the traffic from port 80 to 81, the virtual ips have a message saying "Apache is running normally". Server IPs are fine, and I can still access virtual IP's on 81. • Java Math.cos() Method Does Not Return 0 When Expected

  Using Java on a Windows 7 PC (not sure if that matters) and calling Math.cos() on values that should return 0 (like pi/2) instead returns small values, but small values that, unless I'm misunderstanding, are much greater than 1 ulp off from zero. Math.cos(Math.PI/2) = 6.123233995736766E-17 Math.ulp(Math.cos(Math.PI/2)) = 1.232595164407831E-32 Is this in fact within 1 ulp and I'm simply confused? • Image bit depth values.

  REPHRASED QUESTION: I am coming up with a list of possible image bit depth values that could be used as a predefined reference list in my application. I could think of 8,16,24 and 32 bit depths. The image formats considered are BMP, JPEG, PNG and GIF. I understand the bit depth decides the quality and thereby the storage requirements for the image. The application is used to store user uploaded images(non-medical, non-DICOM). Are there more bit depths other than the ones mentioned above that i should be including in my list? Are there any stats on the usage of the images with bit depths? Appreciate your response!

I don't know what those numbers mean, it's like a trade secret that gets shared with each other during college days. ascii 7 sounds a beep P.S. Somehow, remembering some of these magic numbers can help you in some tech problems, your keyboard is broken, the office pal's keyboard doesn't have accented characters. An anecdote, during college, one of my friend asked me how to remove the newlines in his Word document. Not having used Word so much then, I somehow "intuitively" guessed to find ^013 and replace it with blank. Well it works :-)

  I'm trying to open a JMX connection to java application running on a remote machine. The application JVM is configured with the following options: com.sun.management.jmxremote com.sun.management.jmxremote.port=1088 com.sun.management.jmxremote.authenticate=false com.sun.management.jmxremote.ssl=false I'm able to connect using localhost:1088 using jconsole or jvisualvm. But I'm not able to connect using xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:1088 from a remote machine. There is no firewall between the servers, or on the OS. But to eliminate this possibility I telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 1088 and I think it connects, as the console screen turns blank. Both servers are Windows Server 2008 x64. Tried with 64-bit JVM and 32-bit, neither work.

  I have IIS 6.0 on Windows Server 2003. I installed .Net 3.5 and 4 beta 2. "Normal" asp things are working (perfect). But when I try to navigate to my service (/myServer/MyService.svc) I got a 404. Page not found. To be exact, I got a 404 2 "Web service extension lockdown policy prevents this request." I used ServiceModelReg.exe /ia to make sure that the extension I known and I checked the configuration using: admin-Tools, iis, home-tab, configuration, executable-box, and there: extension: .svc, path: c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v4.0.210... verbs: all verbs So everything seems ok. But I still get a 404-2

• Duplex communication using NetTcpBinding - ContractFilter mismatch?

  I'm making slow and steady progress towards having a duplex communication channel open between a client and a server, using NetTcpBinding. (FYI, you can observe my newbie progress here and here!) I'm now at the stage where I have successfully connected to my server, through the server's firewall, and the client can make requests of the server. In the other direction, however, things aren't quite so happy. It works fine when testing on my own machine, but when testing over the internet, when I try to initiate a callback from the server side, I get an error: The message with Action 'http://MyWebService/IWebService/HelloWorld' cannot be processed at the receiver, due to a ContractFilter mismatch at the EndpointDispatcher. This may be because of either a contract mismatch (mismatched Actions between sender and receiver) or a binding/security mismatch between the sender and the receiver. Check that sender and receiver have the same contract and the same binding (including security requirements, e.g. Message, Transport, None). Here are some of the key bits of code.   How to make the "dropdown" (or "popup", I don't know how it's called) of a JComboBox taller on the screen? By default, when I open my JComboBox I see, say, 7 out of 29 items, then I need to scroll. What should I do so that I can see, say, 15 out of these 32 items? (or if the dropdown is, say, 150 pixels tall, how can I make it 300 pixels tall?) I've read the Sun tutorial on JComboBox and the JavaDoc but I must have overlooked the method(s) to call.

  Looking for advice on the best technique for saving complex Python data structures across program sessions. Here's a list of techniques I've come up with so far: pickle/cpickle json jsonpickle xml database (like SQLite) Pickle is the easiest and fastest technique, but my understanding is that there is no guarantee that pickle output will work across various versions of Python 2.x/3.x or across 32 and 64 bit implementations of Python. Json only works for simple data structures. Jsonpickle seems to correct this AND seems to be written to work across different versions of Python. Serializing to XML or to a database is possible, but represents extra effort since we would have to do the serialization ourselves manually. Thank you, Malcolm

  I have some code validating a string of 1 to 32 characters, which may contain only alpha-numerics and hyphens ('-') but may not begin or end with a hyphen. I'm using PCRE regular expressions & PHP (albeit the PHP part is not really important in this case). Right now the pseudo-code looks like this: if (match("/^[\p{L}0-9][\p{L}0-9-]{0,31}$/u", string) and not match("/-$/", string)) print "success!" That is, I'm checking first that the string is of right contents, doesn't being with a '-' and is of the right length, and then I'm running another test to see that it doesn't end with a '-'. Any suggestions on merging this into a single PCRE regular expression? I've tried using look-ahead / look-behind assertions but couldn't get it to work.

• RijndaelManaged Padding when data matches block size

  If I use PKCS7 padding in RijndaelManaged with 16 bytes of data then I get 32 bytes of data output. It appears that for PKCS7 when the data size matches the block size it adds a whole extra block of data. If I use Zeros padding for 16 bytes of data I get out 16 bytes of data. So for Zeros padding if the data matches the block size then it doesn't pad. I have searched through the documentation and it says nothing about this difference in padding behavior. Can someone please point me to some kind of documentation which specifies what the padding behavior should be for the different padding modes when the data size matches the block size.
