  • "Home" of Javascript similar to python.org?

    Perl, Ruby, Python, Javascript / ecmascript, PHP are all similar in the sense of being open source, open documentation, multi-platform, etc. Perl has http://www.perl.org Ruby has http://www.ruby-lang.org Python has http://www.python.org PHP has http://php.net Is there a "home" for javascript in the same sense as these other languages? When I say "home" I mean the go-to place for official documentation, specifications, source code of the language, examples, etc.

  • Updating DetailViewController from RootController

    I'm trying to create an iPad application with a similar user interface to Apple's Mail application, i.e: RootView controller (table view) on the left hand side of the split view for navigation with a multiple view hierarchy. When a table cell is selected a new table view is pushed on the left hand side The new view on the left side can update the detail view. I can accomplish both tasks BUT NOT TOGETHER. I mean I can make a multi-level table view in the RootController.(HERE you can find the working source code). Or I can make a single-level table view in the RootController which can update the detailViewController (here there is the source code:http://www.megaupload.com/?d=D6L0463G). Can anyone tell me how to make a multi-level table in the RootController which can update a detailViewController?     I have a base32 string which I need to convert to a byte array. And I'm having trouble finding a conversion method in the .net framework. I can find methods for base64 but not for base32. Convert.FromBase64String – something like this for base32 would be perfect. Is there such a method in the framework or do I have to roll my own?

    We are in need of converting all MS Office documents to PDF, TIF, or any similar image format with no loss in formatting (these are official documents that cannot have tampering). Is there any way to do this without installing Office on the machine that would do this? Ideally, this would go on a server and run multi-threaded without the overhead of Office Automation.     This is more of a theoretical question than an actual problem I have. If I understand correctly, the sequence number in the TCP header of a packet is the index of the first byte in the packet in the whole stream, correct? If that is the case, since the sequence number is an unsigned 32-bit integer, then what happens after more than FFFFFFFF = 4294967295 bytes are transferred? Will the sequence number wrap around, or will the sender send a SYN packet to restart at 0?

The error (System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden) occurs at HttpWebResponse response = (HttpWebResponse)request.GetResponse(); I have managed in reading data after authenticating, but not if I also send POST data. What's wrong with this?
