• How to use CLEAR USB internet connection in Ubuntu (host) and WindowsXP (guest) using VirtualBox

  I'm trying to use CLEAR Motorola WiMax USB in Ubuntu as there is no support for linux as yet. I've installed windowsxp as guest in ubuntu and the version I'm using is 3.2.2. USB is connecting fine in WindowsXP but I can't use internet in Ubuntu. Can you please tell me how to do it. Here is the configuration that could help you guys. Thanks in advance. • s3 / php script looping (strace)

  Anyone using the following php S3 client library? http://undesigned.org.za/2007/10/22/amazon-s3-php-class It's been working fine for me for a few days, just noticed that a script I have in place now just ends up hanging. Running this through strace, I see something like: poll([{fd=4, events=POLLOUT}], 1, 1000) = 1 ([{fd=4, revents=POLLHUP}]) poll([{fd=4, events=POLLOUT}], 1, 0) = 1 ([{fd=4, revents=POLLHUP}]) poll([{fd=4, events=POLLOUT}], 1, 1000) = 1 ([{fd=4, revents=POLLHUP}]) poll([{fd=4, events=POLLOUT}], 1, 0) = 1 ([{fd=4, revents=POLLHUP}]) poll([{fd=4, events=POLLOUT}], 1, 1000) = 1 ([{fd=4, revents=POLLHUP}]) Looking at what's running, I see that it's not even getting to the point where it makes the curl call. • Dns caching for sockets

  I'm connecting to some websites through socks proxy server. In my case its very good to implement dns cache, so proxy don't need to resolve website's ip address. So, I performed DNS lookup, but don't know where to supply IP address. mySocket.Connect uses proxy's ip address so it isn't right place. I tried to place it in http header GET http://11.22.33.44/index.html HTTP/1.1 - this doesn't work (even in browser) since website is on virtual hosting. It seems that Host header is right place for resolved ip address. Am I right? Will proxy resolve host name (since it's still there in GET header) or not?

  Is RDF still used widely for content syndication? Specifically, I know only of Slashdot as a large scale website syndicating content in that format (say versus RSS). Understandably this might seem vague to answer so more specifically: Can anyone list any larger sites similar in scale to Amazon or CNN using it? Any web based publishing platforms (Wordpress, Joomla, etc...) that generate syndication feeds with this xml vocabulary. Any other more quantifiable evidence that it is used for syndication online. I understand that RDF may be a parent specification but in this case I'm talking about sites that syndicate content using <rdf as a root element and heavily leveraging elements from the RDF namespace: http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#

The referenced method "humanize" isn't used for anything I'm doing at the moment, but belongs to the Model because it's used in several other places. Of course, removing the method is not really an option right now, and the model contains several other methods as well so I assume if I just move the humanize method around, it will generate an error on the next one.   Hi all, When scrolling through table, my application crash and console said it was EXC_BAD_ACCESS. I've look everywhere, and people suggest me to use NSZombieEnabled on my executables environment variables. I've set NSZombieEnabled, NSDebugEnabled, MallocStackLogging and MallocStackLoggingNoCompact to YES on my executables. • Adding a new view to a Window-based app (re: MapKit tutorial)

  I'm trying add a new view in a window-based application but not really getting anywhere. I've been going through a great MapKit tutorial lately, http://mithin.in/2009/06/22/using-iphone-sdk-mapkit-framework-a-tutorial/ and have successfully set it up and added some further buttons and customizations. However I've gotten stuck at what I assume ought to be a brain-dead simple step. I have added a toolbar to the bottom of the app, and a 'settings' style button. Following this I created a SettingsViewController complete with it's own view. Now I'd like to connect them but I've had absolutely no luck trying to figure out how to do this. I've also gone through several other good tutorials lately, http://miketeo.net/wp/index.php/2008/08/31/simple-iphone-tutorial-part-1.html http://blog.webscale.co.in/?p=228 http://www.iphonesdkarticles.com/2009/01/uitableview-searching-table-view.html but I've gotten lost trying to tie these two bits together.   I am trying to create a table view that loads a number of tweets into the table (one per cell etc). I am using NSXMLParser to get the information and have got as far as creating an array with the selection of tweets that I want. However, when I try to add them to the table cells, the app crashes on the line: cell.textLabel.text = cellValue; An NSLog before this shows in the console that the app is getting the correct data, so I am a bit stumped as to why this isn't working. So in summary, my question is: How earth can I go about making a template/extension to porting this functionality? I have tried before with templates but always gave up after a day :/ If you could take the time to port the above I would greatly appreciate it.

• Problem with videos on heroku

  Hi, I have recently moved my RoR app on the Heroku platform, and almost everything works fine apart from the videos. It works fine when my app runs in local but not on heroku.   I have a script all done now and everything has been debugged and it works, except for the last hurdle. This script grabs pertinent information on bank web sites, takes that data and uses it to populate a template and then it's all posted to Wordpress - BUT I get an error because the file_get_contents function fails taking each url from the Array.
