  • Mailman delivery troubles

    - by stanigator
I'm not sure if this is a good place to ask this question. It's about mailing list management software called Mailman from GNU. Here are the details: Hosting provider: Vlexofree Domain: www.sysil.com with Google Apps Mailing List created from hosting cpanel: [email protected] I have registered a list of subscribers, and tried sending an email to [email protected]. I got the following error message: Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently: [email protected] Technical details of permanent failure: Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 550 550-5.1.1 The email account that you tried to reach does not exist. Please try 550-5.1.1 double-checking the recipient's email address for typos or 550-5.1.1 unnecessary spaces. Learn more at 550 5.1.1 http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=6596 23si6479194ewy.44 (state 14). ----- Original message ----- MIME-Version: 1.0 Received: by 10.216.90.136 with SMTP id e8mr1469147wef.110.1264220118960; Fri, 22 Jan 2010 20:15:18 -0800 (PST) Date: Fri, 22 Jan 2010 20:15:18 -0800 Message-ID: <[email protected]> Subject: From: Stanley Lee <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary=0016e6dab0931bccc3047dcd2f1e - Show quoted text - Is there any way of fixing this problem? I would like to be able to have this mailing list to work through my hosting and domain. Thanks in advance.

  • Finding Telecommuting Opportunities as a Recent College Graduate

    - by stanigator
Reading the answers to hiring practices of remote vs. local employees and freelance programming sites, I would like to add this question to the mix. I am a recent college graduate from an electrical engineering background with 2 years worth of work terms in programming (C, C++, VBA, Matlab, etc.) while I was still in school. While I am interested in learning other software tools (such as Python, Ruby on Rails, Javascript, etc.), I want to use the tools I have now in a telecommuting role while I grow my toolset. Despite having 2 years of work experience (and I've lost track of when I have started programming), my status as a recent college graduate may be an obstacle of my credibility to compete for telecommuting (or in fact any) programming opportunities. I don't know how I can go about finding telecommute programming opportunities for someone with my situation. Overall, many of previous places I've worked at liked my work. What are your suggestions? Thanks in advance!

  • Microsoft Word 2007 diff

    - by stanigator
Most likely been asked already, although I don't know the appropriate phrasing. Does Word 2007 come with diff functionality already when installed? If not, what's the easiest way of taking advantage of such functionalities (namely create a patch file between two documents showing the changes I have made)? Thanks in advance!

  • SVG to JPEG/BMP conversion

    - by stanigator
I have a svg file that I want to convert to jpeg or bmp (or any other image formats). However, all the conversions that I have used on the various online tools yielded very unclear output images. I don't want to use svg as it is very inconvenient. What would be your suggestions to get around that?

  • Video Editing Software

    - by stanigator
I would like to add some text labels certain segments of a video. I have had a lot of trouble using Windows Movie Maker for video editing. I know a friend of mine who uses adobe premiere and adobe after effects, but I don't know what's the easiest software to use to achieve my goal. What are your thoughts?

  • Referencing a specific figure in Microsoft Word 2003

    - by stanigator
Referring to the screenshot below: I want to be able to reference the figure in the body of the text properly without having to change them manually every time I add a figure label before that body of text. However, I don't know how to do it aside from adding caption labels, which won't work for cases where I have more than one reference to the figure (at least I don't know how to do that properly anyway). How would you recommend accomplishing that? Thanks in advance!

  • Exporting Environment Variables in Ubuntu Linux

    - by stanigator
I know many people have asked about environment variables before, but I am having a hard time dealing with these paths while ensuring I don't mess around with the original settings. How would you go about executing these commands in Ubuntu in terms of environment variables? Thanks in advance! Please put /home/stanley/Downloads/ns-allinone-2.34/bin:/home/stanley/Downloads/ns-allinone-2.34/tcl8.4.18/unix:/home/stanley/Downloads/ns-allinone-2.34/tk8.4.18/unix into your PATH environment; so that you'll be able to run itm/tclsh/wish/xgraph. IMPORTANT NOTICES: (1) You MUST put /home/stanley/Downloads/ns-allinone-2.34/otcl-1.13, /home/stanley/Downloads/ns-allinone-2.34/lib, into your LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable. If it complains about X libraries, add path to your X libraries into LD_LIBRARY_PATH. If you are using csh, you can set it like: setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH If you are using sh, you can set it like: export LD_LIBRARY_PATH= (2) You MUST put /home/stanley/Downloads/ns-allinone-2.34/tcl8.4.18/library into your TCL_LIBRARY environmental variable. Otherwise ns/nam will complain during startup.

    - by stanigator

I am having trouble finding such functionalities in Microsoft Powerpoint 2003. I tried googling it but no luck either. Does it exist? Is there an easy way to find keywords in a group of Powerpoint presentation files? Thanks in advance.

  • Simulink: type consistency errors

    - by stanigator
Using this Simulink model file as a reference, I'm trying to figure out the two following errors: I have no idea what has gone wrong with the data type consistency/conversion problems. Do you know what the error messages mean exactly in the context of a model? It would be great to get an interpretation of the problem to solve it. Thanks in advance.

  • Simulink: Specifying trajectory

    - by stanigator
I would like to use jtraj to specify a trajectory in a Simulink model. Below are what I attempted to retrieve in the command prompt: Q0 = [1 1 0]; Q1 = [1+0.5*cos(2*20) 1+0.5*sin(2*20) 0]; t = 0:0.1:20; [Q, Qd, Qdd] = jtraj(Q0, Q1, t); However, I don't know how to include such trajectory data in the Simulink model easily. Any comments? Thanks in advance.

  • VBA: How to refer to the right worksheet

    - by stanigator
    Sub Macro1() ' ' Macro1 Macro ' ' Worksheets("Drop-down").Select n = Cells(1, 1).End(xlDown).Row For i = 1 To n ActiveSheet.Cells(i, 2).Select If Worksheets("Misc").Cells(2, i).Value <> "" Then If Worksheets("Misc").Cells(3, i).Value <> "" Then Set validationRange = Range(Worksheets("Misc").Cells(2, i), Worksheets("Misc").Cells(2, i).End(xlDown)) Else Set validationRange = Worksheets("Misc").Cells(2, i) End If With Selection.Validation .Delete .Add Type:=xlValidateList, AlertStyle:=xlValidAlertStop, Operator:= _ xlBetween, Formula1:=validationRange.Address .IgnoreBlank = True .InCellDropdown = True .InputTitle = "" .ErrorTitle = "" .InputMessage = "" .ErrorMessage = "" .ShowInput = True .ShowError = True End With End If Next i End Sub The lines after ActiveSheet.Cells(i,2).select within the for loop is not referring to the correct worksheet I want when I rechecked the settings for the validation drop-down menu. What is the easiest way of correcting this setback? Thanks in advance.

  • What's wrong with Bundler working with RubyGems to push a Git repo to Heroku?

    - by stanigator
I've made sure that all the files are in the root of the repository as recommended in this discussion. However, as I follow the instructions in this section of the book, I can't get through the section without the problems. What do you think is happening with my system that's causing the error? I have no clue at the moment of what the problem means despite reading the following in the log. • Implementing Communication Protocols on CC2420 motes powered by TinyOS

    - by stanigator
I would like to load TinyOS on CC2420 radio motes to operate on certain communication protocols (e.g. epidemic routing, probabilistic routing, etc.). However, I have no prior experience in programming motes to perform the protocols I want. I'm just wondering about the most applicable resources for reference and how difficult (if not impossible) was implementing such mentioned protocols. It would be great to hear from you. Thanks in advance!
