Hi, I would like to ask for a recommendation on offline form format which user can bring around. Once done, they will upload the file to the server and data will be extracted from there.
We are currently looking at Word and Excel 2003 since all users have it on their machine but it seems that using interops on server is something to avoid.
Suggestions?
Hi,
I am trying to add a dll that contains some custom 3rd party conrtols and some in house user controls and am getting the following error -
"The Assembly "MyASsembly.dll" could not be loaded. Check that any dependencies the file requires are installed"
I am using Visual Studio 2003 and the 3rd part controls are C1.
Does anyone know what is wrong?
Thanks
Hi!
I need to install an ISAPI extension on IIS 5.1 using command line. On windows server 2003 there is a script iisext.vbs but on windows xp it's not present.
I need to change the C++ code to connect with WebSphere MQ using Client Channel defnition table. There are about 5000+ MQ clients and 10 MQ Servers on Windows 2003 with v6.0. Please help me if any one using C++ with CCDT.
During development of some Excel vba code about every other iteration where I go in and add some code then save the file, the next time I open the thing (it is automatically set to run the code on open) I get a spurious "File not Found" error.
To fix it I copy all the code- modules and classes plus the startup code, to a fresh blank excel file save it and it runs fine.
This happens in both Excel 2003 and 2007. What is happening here?
I inherited a script running on Server 2003 that I need to port to Server 2008. The current script is:
strComputer = "servernamexyz"
Set objWMIService = GetObject("winmgmts:" _
& "{impersonationLevel=impersonate,(Shutdown)}!\\" & _
strComputer & "\root\cimv2")
Set colOperatingSystems = objWMIService.ExecQuery _
("SELECT * FROM Win32_OperatingSystem")
For Each objOperatingSystem in colOperatingSystems
objOperatingSystem.Win32Shutdown(12)
Next
How do I convert this to run on Server 2008? Thanks!
When using Excel (2003) to provide data for my unit tests it seems to think that when a cell has TRUE / FALSE value that it is null when there has been no preceding cell values e.g.
if (TestContext.DataRow["SatisfactionExtremelySatisfied"] != DBNull.Value)
model.SatisfactionExtremelySatisfied = (bool)TestContext.DataRow
["SatisfactionExtremelySatisfied"];
Sample Excel Data
DataRow SatisfactionExtremelySatisfied
0
1
2 TRUE
3 TRUE
When reading the test data using OLEDB the cells with TRUE hold no value but when the preceding cells have the value FALSE entered it correctly gets the values TRUE.
Am I missing something?
The process of converting from Visual Studio .NET 2003 to Visual Studio 2008 is satisfyingly start forward.
I thought it would be worth asking a couple of questions though:
1) Are there any 'gotchas' with this conversion process that we should be aware of?
2) Same question goes for upgrading the .NET Framework from 1.1 to 3.5?
Thanks.
Hi all,
In my web application, I am generating a document with a custom extension and providing the user with the link to download. The download fails with custom extension but goes fine with predefined extensions like "xml". I have no idea what is going wrong!
Is this some kind of access rights problem? I am running it under Windows 2003 server!
Any help will be highly appreciated!
Thanks,
I have created a database model in Visio Professional (2003). I know that the Enterprise version has the ability to create a DB in Sql Server based on the data in Visio. I do not have the option to install Enterprise. Aside from going through the entire thing one table and relationship at a time and creating the whole database from scratch, by hand, can anyone recommend any tool/utility/method for converting the visio database model into a Sql Script that can be used to create a new DB in Sql Server?
We have a managed COM addin for Outlook
works flawlessly on a real machine
now using VMWare 6.05 I think whe we try and install our addin OL refuses to load us
and we keeo seeing a message( when we go to the manage addins dialog) saying a runtime error occurred when loading the COM component
Nothing on event viewer
We are seeing this on images of Office 2003 and 2007
anyone ever run into something like this where VMWare images are causing issues with OL addins

I'm writing an interface spec in MS Word and it would be great if there were some sort of template or pluggin for Word (2003 here) that would make it all look a bit prettier.
(I'm realizing how spoiled I am with even the archaic VB6 IDE).

I trying to make MySQL available by 2 ports: 3306 and 3339
I added rule to iptables:
iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -i bond0 -p tcp --dport 3339 -j REDIRECT
--to-port 3306
and everythin is great for remote connections.
But if I'm trying to connect it locally, I'm getting an error:
mysql -u username -ppassword --port=3339 -h Host.Name
ERROR 2003 (HY000): Can't connect to MySQL server on 'Host.Name' (111)
Any ideas how can I edit iptables to get local access via 3339 port?
I am attempting to make a program that will pull data such as OS, IP, Server Name, Websites, Databases, etc. in a server farm. Is there a .Net library that allows you to connect to servers and get information such as this with the proper authentication? I do not really know where to start, thank you.
Most of the servers are 2003 standard/enterprise both x86 and x64.
We have an application written in VB.NET 2003 which has built in Crystal reports. When we install the application on Windows 2008 server

Environment:
Windows 2003
JBoss 5.1
Code:
@WebService
@Stateless
@SOAPBinding(style = Style.RPC)
public class MyWebService {
public String sayHello() {
return "Hello";
}
}
wsdl is deployed in:
http://localhost:8080/ear-project-ejb-project/MyWebService?wsdl
I would like to define another path for this webservice, something like:
http://localhost:8080/MyApplication/MyWebService?wsdl
How to configure that in JBoss 5.1? Is there some kind of configuration that will work in any JEE server?
Thanks
I have a document with sections that are protected and unprotected. With Word 2003 the sections that were unprotected had formatting enabled - specifically the bullets and numbering. Now with Word 2007, even though the same sections are unprotected, the bulleting and numbering is disabled. Is there anyway to enable this?
I tried playing around with CommandBars but nothing has worked.
e.g. Application.CommandBars("Formatting").Enabled = True
I have a Windows Server 2003 running Mercurial's hgwebdir.cgi to serve repositories. Push/Pull etc is working as expected for existing repositories.
Currently I'm using remote desktop If I need a new repository on the server.
Is there a better way to do it? Command line, web interface, cgi?
I'm working with an Excel VBA "Sub" that contains a statement like:
Application.Run ("Menu_SomeProcedure")
which is calling some code or functionality which I need to inspect but I'm unable to find the implementation of "Menu_SomeProcedure" anywhere in the VBA module code. Where should I look to find it? I am using Microsoft Office Excel 2003.
Hi
I am running windows server 2003 standard and have installed the ssl cert for the company website . Attempting to access the website securely outside of our network the page does not load.
Thanks in advance!
I have created and committed to Mercurial repository that was created on my local drive. I now have a remote Windows 2003 web server setup to serve repositories via hgwebdir.cgi.
How do I move the locally created repository to the web server?
It looks like an ftp of the .hg folder on the local drive to the remote web server does the trick. Am I doing it the right way. Is there a more efficient way?
