• How can I dynamically add an <object> tag with JavaScript in IE?

  I have to add either an embed tag for Firefox or an object tag for Internet Explorer with JavaScript to address the appropriate ActiveX / Plugin depending on the browser. The plugin could be missing and needs to get downloaded in this case. The dynamically added embed tag for Firefox works as expected. The dynamically added object tag for Internet Explorer seems to do nothing at all. The object tag needs the following attributes to function properly. id ="SomeId" classid = "CLSID:{GUID}" codebase = "http://www.MyActicexSource.com/MyCuteActivex.CAB#Version=2,0,0,1" Even a general working idea or method would be nice. • Drupal Imagecache not working

  I created an Imagecache setting that just resizes to 125px wide. First issue is that the preview image is 404. Then I want to print out an image via <?php print theme('imagecache', 'imported_image', $node->picture, 'test', 'test', $attributes); ?> 'imported_image' being the preset and $node-picture is a correct path. The html prints out ok but the path it's trying load the image from does not exist. In sites/default/files/imagecache there is no folder with the name of the preset. Flushing the preset does nothing. The imagecache folder is writeable by everyone. This is on MAMP. Anyone know what the issue could be?

I have a dll named AxInterop.Microsoft.Office.Interop.VisOcx and I refer it to instantiate an object of the type AxDrawingControl(). Now as soon as I write this code: AxDrawingControl objDrawControl=new AxDrawingControl(); and check the attributes of this object objDrawControl in the debug mode, I see this message: Exception of type 'System.Windows.Forms.AxHost+InvalidActiveXStateException' was thrown.   Hi I am working on core data for the first time. I have just created an entity and attributes for that entity. I want to add some data inside the entity(u can say i want to add data in a table), earlier i when i was using sqlite, i would add data using terminal. But here in core data i am not able to find a place where i can manually add data. I just want to add data in entity and display it in a UITableView. I have gone through the the documentation of core data but it does not explain how to add data manually although it explains how i can add it programmiticaly but i dont need to do it programically. • Which types use a FileNameEditor in a PropertyGrid?

  I need to change the editor for a property attached to a .net PropertyGrid, but I cannot set the Editor attribute of that property, because the property was generated by a tool, including all attributes. The desired editor is System.Windows.Forms.Design.FileNameEditor I can find many tutorials on the web to assign this editor to string properties by setting the editor attribute, but I cannot set the editor attribute in this case. However, I can advise the code generation tool to behave such that the string property which I want to be edited with the FileNameEditor becomes converted to another property with different type. In order to do so, I would need to know which type is edited by the FileNameEditor as default. I didn't find any list on the web which would tell me for a given editor which types employ this editor automatically when displayed in a PropertyGrid.

  From the MusicBrainz REST service, I get the following xml: <artist-list offset="0" count="59"> <artist type="Person" id="xxxxx" ext:score="100"> ... Using WCF and XmlSerializationFormat, I'm able to get the type and id attributes... but How do I get the "ext:score" one? This works: public class Artist { [XmlAttribute("id")] public string ID { get; set; } [XmlAttribute("type")] public ArtistType Type { get; set; } But this doesnt: [XmlAttribute("ext:score")] public string Score { get; set; } It produces a serialization exception. I've also tried just using "score", but it doesn't work. Any help?

• Safari anchors on links not working.

  My html anchor is as follows. <a name="template-8"/> <h4 class="template" id="template-8">A title</h4> As far as I know the browser should skip to the element matching either name or id attributes. When I type in the url http://my.site.com/templates#template-8 safari jumps down the page as expected. However when linking as below the anchor does nothing. Chrome, Opera, IE7 and Firefox all work. <a href="http://my.site.com/templates#template-8">A link</a> Safari is version 5.0, could this be a safari bug?

  I have the following tables in a database (i'll only list the important attributes): Person(ssn,countryofbirth) Parents(ssn,fatherbirthcountry) Employment(ssn, companyID) Company(companyID, name) My task is this: given fatherbirthcountry as input, output the names of companies where persons work whose countryofbirth match the fatherbirthcountry input. I pretend that the fatherbirthcountry is Mexico and do this: SELECT name FROM Company WHERE companyid = (SELECT companyid FROM Employment WHERE ssn = (SELECT ssn FROM Person WHERE countryofbirth = 'Mexico'); but it is giving me an error: >Scalar subquery is only allowed to return a single row. am I completely off track? So the form elements have the class="required" attribute. input type="text" name="last_name" class="required"/ Now if i want to apply some css properties to the input fields of this form - how do I do that. I do not want to declare a general css for all input elements - I have declared the css as follows: input.form { color: #000; background: #fff; border: 2px solid #E1E1E1; font-size: 16pt; width:150px; } And I want to use it this way input class="form" type="text" name="last_name" class="required"/ But this wont work as there are two class attributes here.   I'm following this article http://www.asp.net/mvc/tutorials/older-versions/models-(data)/validating-with-a-service-layer-cs to include a Service Layer with Business Logic in my MVC Web Application. I'm able to pass messages from the Service Layer to the View Model in a Html.ValidationSummary using ModelState Class. I perform basic validation logic on the View Model (using DataAnnotation attributes) and I have ClientValidation enabled by default which displaying the error message on every single field of my form. The Business logic error message which come from the Service Layer are being displayed on Html.ValidationSummary only after Posting the form to the Server. After Validation from the Service Layer I would like highlight one or more fields and have the message from the Service Layer showing on these fields instead that the Html.ValidationSummary. Any idea how to do it? Thanks

  Hello I have an object that has a lot of attributes, each one with it's getter and setter. Each attribute has a non primitive type, that I don't know at runtime. For example, what I have is this: public class a{ private typeA attr1; private typeB attr2; public typeA getAttr1(){ return attr1; } public typeB getAttr2(){ return attr2; } public void setAttr1(typeA at){ attr1 = at; } public void setAttr2(typeB at){ attr2 = at; } } public class typeA{ public typeA(){ // doesn't matter } } public class typeB{ public typeB(){ // doesn't matter } } So, using reflection, I obtained the setter method for an attribute. Setting a value in the standard way is something like this: a test = new a(); a.setAttr1(new typeA()); But how can I do this using reflection? I already got the setAttr1() method using reflection, but I don't know how to create a new typeA object to be inserted in the setter.

  I've created a model in Xcode, and for various attributes I have minimum & maximum values defined and that are enforced by coreData at runtime. I'm using NSManagedObject validateValue:forKey:error to check for user input values. I was a bit disappointed to see that the localized error message is not specific, and I get a "The operation couldn't be completed. (Cocoa error 1620)" for too small values and a "The operation couldn't be completed. (Cocoa error 1610)" for too large values. It's written in the coreData documentation that "you can localize most aspects of a managed object model, including entity and property names and error messages". Unfortunately it's not very detailed on how you implement it for error messages. So How do you customize error message ? How do you localize them ? Is it possible to customize it in a way where it will mentioned the reference value ex: "Value should be lower than %@" or "Value should be higher than %@" ?

I am using IHtmlDocument2 to create tr and td elements and IHtmlElement to set attributes and IHtmlDomNode to add created node to the document hierarchy. Please anyone help me to solve the above problem. I am traversing through the document when I get the tr tag I have created the tr element using CreateElement, then I use InsertBefore to insert it into the document but it's not working. • Are Sphinx & thinking_sphinx really stable? Not indexing Columns

  I'm encountering strange behaviour from thinking_sphinx/sphinx. My define_index block is about 100 lines, so quite a lot of columns i'm indexing. For full-text searching I only need about 10 attributes, for sorting and filtering I have another approximately 50 columns, mostly floats and integers. By filtering I mean using the "with" or "without" options. Searching does not really work consistently. All of a sudden, one attribute fails to filter. Or if I add a new one, it does not work. Only after a lot of tinkering it suddenly starts working. I cannot really reproduce it. Steps I that sometimes lead me to success where: rm -rf db/sphinx change the attribute definition e.g. has some_attribute = has some_attribute, :sortable = true or = has some_attribute, :sortable = true, :as = "some_attribute" restarting the server assigning a new :as name = has some_attribute, :as = "some_attribute_new" (yes, I did rake ts:rebuild or rake ts:in after every step) Does anybody else encounter similar problems?

  An app (C#4, WinForms, Entity Framework, SQL Server 2008) of mine maintains a graph of interconnected objects, each having some simple member fields and a set of many directed (in and out) one-to-one links to other objects. I'd like to offer a user an ability to view and edit this graph visually some way, creating and removing connections, modifying objects attributes values and introducing/dropping objects. I suppose there has to be a framework (at list a primitive kind of) for this as visual model design tools are pretty common to meet. Do you know one?

  I have a trouble with selecting element attributes with jquery here is my HTML: <a class="myselector" rel="I need this value"></a> <div class="someClass" id="someID"> ...bunch of elements/content <input type="button" name="myInput" id="inputID" title="myInput Title" /> ...bunch of elements/content </div> ...bunch of elements/content Here I'm trying to get the rel value of myselector here is how I tried but its not working : $('#inputID').live('click',function(){ console.log($(this).closest('a.myselector').attr('rel')); }); Also tried this since all is wrapped in wrapper div : $('#inputID').live('click',function(){ console.log($(this).parent('div.wrapper').find('a.myselector').attr('rel')); }); I get undefined value in firebug in both cases, I use live because div#someID is loaded in the document its not there when page first loads. Any advice, how can I get my selector rel value?

• How to Look Up Email by Full Name in Active Directory?

  I want to search for a user's email by using Active Directory. Available is the user's full name (ex. "John Doe" for the email with an email "[email protected]"). From what I've searched, this comes close to what I'm looking to do -- except that the Filter is set to "SAMAccountName", which is not what I have. Unless I'm misunderstanding, I just need to pick the right attribute and toss in the full name name in the same way. Unfortunately, I don't know what this attribute is, apparently no one has had to ask about searching for information in this manner, and that is a pretty big list (msdn * microsoft * com/en-us/library/ms675090(v=VS.85) * aspx, stackoverflow didn't let me link 2 hyperlinks because I don't have 10 rep) of attributes. Does anyone know how to obtain the user's email address through an Active Directory lookup by using the user's full name?
