• Change input text to regular text on blur and ability to edit jQuery

  I'm creating a form where I'm eliminating the use of a save button. The form is made up of input text boxes and textareas. After the user enters data into the input field, I want to trigger an onBlur function and change the input into a span that contains the information that the user entered. I also want to have the ability to edit this information, so if the user clicks on the newly created span with text, it will turn back into the input field with the current information for their editing pleasure. For reference, I'm looking to have a functionality pretty much like on editing a photo title on Flickr. If possible, I'd also like to have the textbox show "saving..." for half a second after the blur to reflect interaction with server.

• Can't connect using Jail SFTP account

  I've been following this tutorial "Limiting Access with SFTP Jails on Debian and Ubuntu" and whilst I've had no errors setting it up, I've had issues on Ubuntu 10.04LTS logging in as a user on a virtualhost. I've changed my SSH port to 22022, and enter all the credentials when attempting to login. I ran these commands to add a user to the virtualhost: # useradd -d /srv/www/[domain] [username] # passwd [username] # usermod -G filetransfer [username] # chown [username]:[username] /srv/www/[domain]/public_html I should add that this is the only time I've setup the user they have no other /home directories or such. The directory that does exist is at /srv/www/example.com/public_html When I try using a desktop package such as cyberduck to login to the site, I keep getting a "Login failed with this username or password". I am completely lost as what to do next... The reason why I'm trying this method is because I want my clients to use SFTP and not FTP to upload files to their websites. Any help or direction is appreciated.

• ASP.NET MVC: Problem generating thumbnails...need help!

  Ok, so i'm new to asp.net mvc and i'm trying to make a web application photo gallery. I've posted once on here about this issue i am having of trying to generate thumbnails on-the-fly on the page instead of the actual full-size images. Basically, the functionality i am looking for is to be able to have thumbnails on the page and then be able to click the images to see the full-size version. I am pulling the images and images info from an XML file. So, i did this so i could display them dynamically and so it would be easier to make changes later. Later, i am going to add functionality to upload new images to specific galleries (when i figure out how to do that as well). • Techniques to avoid DeadlineExceededException in GAE/J?

  I am developing an Twitter4J web application in Google App Engine/Java. I need to show two lists. One is Twitter friends and other is followers. With photo and screen name. It is working fine for people who have 20-30 followers and friends. But it gave me DeadlineExceededException when I try a user who has 150+ followers and friends. GAE throws this exception if web request take time more than 30 seconds. So what techniques I can adopt to avoid this exception. Should I generate two AJAX calls for each of my list. After page loads. So that every call will have its own 30 secs limit? Or what else you think? I am gone make it. Please help.

  I love Windows 7 Backup and Restore.. However, I kind of find it inconvenient to use external hard drive, plug it in, take it out, put it away safely etc.. Is there an online storage service to which Windows Backup can save the backup files to? Can I make Windows Backup store the backed up data to an online storage service? I do not want to manually upload the backup files. I want it to save directly to the cloud. Doesn't matter if the service costs me some $$$. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit edition.

  Hi all, I have a web site that allows users to upload images of cars and I would like to put a privacy filter in place to detect registration plates on the vehicle and blur them. The blurring is not a problem but is there a library or component (open source preferred) that will help with finding a licence within a photo? Caveats; I know nothing is perfect and image recognition of this type will provide false positive and negatives. I appreciate that we could ask the user to select the area to blur and we will do this as well, but the question is specifically about finding that data programmatically; so answers such as 'get a person to check every image' is not helpful. This software method is called 'Automatic Number Plate Recognition' in the UK but I cannot see any implementations of it as libraries. Any language is great although .Net is preferred. File Zilla asks for a Host name, Username, password to connect to the remote server. Now all I want is my users in LAN should be able to access this directory from their system using FTP software like FileZilla. • IIS 6.0 FTP Folder Permissions

  I have a IIS FTP website setup like this \ftp\users\domain\public\public Software that runs on clients computers logs into the FTP server by specifying domain\public and moving to public, it then uploads or downloads files / folders into that area. I want to restrict permissions on \ftp\users\domain\public so that nothing/nobody can write files or folders here, only to \ftp\users\domain\public\public. I setup the NTFS permissions of the folder to remove domain\users, public and server\users to not have modify right, yet I can still upload/modify files. I have disabled inheritance from the parent folder of \ftp\users\domain\public as well. Any ideas on what I'm missing here? P.S I know this is a stupid setup and makes no sense, it's some bizarre legacy application that I need to migrate to a safer environment until it can be replaced.

  Hi, I have a desktop application that needs to upload/download images to/from service computer over TCP Protocol. At first, I stored images in file system, but I need to in MS SQL DB to compare which solution is better. Number of images is over half a million. I don't know yet will there be any limitation on size of a photo. If you have done smth like that, please, write what your opinion upon this question. Which one is faster, more safe? Which of them works better with this number of photos? If I'll store on DB, do I need to store images apart from all other tables which I use for my application and which type works better - image or varbinary on DB?..and so on. Thank you.

The problem we're left with is the following: the flash API is streaming the content of the video to a webpage, this page saves the photo as a jpg. • Right Clicking Network File Very Slow Over VPN

  I am having real troubles with a VPN connection. The VPN connection is not used for a internet connection just for file browsing. File browsing is slow, taking about 3-4 seconds to bring up a list of folders. I can live with this, however the problem is when I right click on a file. Sometimes the right click menu comes up instantly but sometimes it brings up the wait icon for anywhere between 30 seconds to a few minutes before displaying the menu. I ran speedtest.net and the results were: 3.08 Down/0.13 Up (Mbps) 0.13Mbps = 16kbps upload. So I am not experiencing miracles with opening files. A 120kb file can take anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds. Sometimes transfering/opening files happens as expected other times its slow but the real issue is with the right click as mentioned. Anyone have any ideas? Using PPTP Clients are all windows 7 pro

• Running Sonatype Nexus in Tomcat 7.0, Tomcat blocking PUT requests

  I was previously running Nexus 1.8 on OSX and uploading jars for releases without any issues. The OSX box died, so I moved to a FreeBSD server. Since Nexus doesn't have binaries for FreeBSD, I decided to run it in my Tomcat container. Now, I have set up Nexus 1.9 in Tomcat 7.0 on FreeBSD. Everything is working well, except I can't upload jars to my release or snapshot repositories. If I try via Hudson, I get a 401 error (and no further details). If I try manually via curl, I get an error message back from Tomcat: "This request requires HTTP authentication.". Why is Tomcat giving this error, and how do I stop it? If I look in the Nexus logs I can see that the PUT request doesn't even reach Nexus, Tomcat is intercepting it.

  Hi, all I'm writing an Android application with multiple Tabs. The content of each tabs is determined by XMLs on the Internet, and it could be WebView for HTML rendering, GridView for photo displaying, etc. I'm going to delay downloading of those XML until the tab is clicked. Upon clicking the application will download corresponding XML from the Internet, and then choose suitable View for it. Currently I have written a MyViewDelegate and use TabSpec.setContent() to set the spec pointing to MyViewDelegate: spec = tabHost.newTabSpec(tabName[i]); intent = new Intent().setClass(this, HomeActivity.class); spec.setIndicator(title[i]); spec.setContent(new MyViewDelegate(this, tabName[i])); tabHost.addTab(spec); My problem is, after MyViewDelegate is required to draw, how can I switch to WebView/GridView and initialize it? • Best Performing Remote Desktop Software for WAN

  I've been tasked with connecting a computer in one of our branches in the midlands to one in south wales. We have been using windows remote desktop but find it too slow. The ADSL on the computer were connecting to is about 6Mb Download and 470Kb Upload so not majorly fast. That connection is also shared with about 10 other internet users. I'm trying to find out if the is any remote desktopn connecting software that performs better than the microsoft remote desktop software. Or, would i be better using a KVM over IP?   hello guys i have a exchange server running but there is a problem. when i use the web access and i click new email ad i click on the paperclip(to add a attachment) i select a file and then i click Add to upload it. but when my Oulook Web Access hangs its stays loading 10 or 20 seconds. and then it ask for my login again my username and password. when i fill my username and password in again the same happens its stays loading for 10 or 20 seconds and then it ask again for my username and password. can somebody help me on this pleas.

  Hi All! i know this is not a properly code question, but who of you don't use an FTP client!? ;-) Ok my problem is that my FTP work great, exept when i upload files on a particular client server! on this server happen that some files are uploaded fine and others not, they stop while uploading at half of it's size, then this error is displayed: 530 Sorry, the maximum number of clients (4) from your host are already connected. Unable to make a connection. Please try again. Obviously this is not true, i'm the only one that is uploading! Anyone had the same experience with this!? PS: i have tried many different FTP, all display the same error or just hung up! Thank's

• How can I convert videos for Sony Xperia U on my Linux box?

  I would like to send a few videos for my girlfriend, but I would ensure they are playable on her mobile phone. I want to carry out the encoding tasks on my Arch Linux box, because my PC is a low end. I can use only ffmpeg or mencoder or other CLI tool. She can play youtube videos but I don't want to upload such videos to youtube. Are there any presets for specific mobile phones? And when she simply clicks a video direct link will it play directly on the cellphone or should I embed it in a html5 / flash player, like on youtube?
