  • "Exception: msg 'axis2:null', not-found" when using a suds client with an axis2 server

    - by konrad
I am writing a Suds (Python) SOAP client for an Axis2 server I have no control over. Suds chokes on the WSDL file with the following exception: File "site-packages/suds/wsdl.py", line 494, in resolve raise Exception("msg '%s', not-found" % op.input) Exception: msg 'axis2:null', not-found This is the WSDL file (I have replaced the hostnames with localhost). • rand() generating the same number – even with srand(time(NULL)) in my main!

    - by Nick Sweet
So, I'm trying to create a random vector (think geometry, not an expandable array), and every time I call my random vector function I get the same x value, thought y and z are different. int main () { srand ( (unsigned)time(NULL)); Vector<double> a; a.randvec(); cout << a << endl; return 0; } using the function //random Vector template <class T> void Vector<T>::randvec() { const int min=-10, max=10; int randx, randy, randz; const int bucket_size = RAND_MAX/(max-min); do randx = (rand()/bucket_size)+min; while (randx <= min && randx >= max); x = randx; do randy = (rand()/bucket_size)+min; while (randy <= min && randy >= max); y = randy; do randz = (rand()/bucket_size)+min; while (randz <= min && randz >= max); z = randz; } For some reason, randx will consistently return 8, whereas the other numbers seem to be following the (pseudo) randomness perfectly. However, if I put the call to define, say, randy before randx, randy will always return 8. Why is my first random number always 8? Am I seeding incorrectly?

  • Multiple INET sockets (mulple IP's too) connected to UNIX sockets

    - by Andrew
HOST = same host all the time, accepts multiple connection. I have a dedicated server and I will buy extra IP's. Socket 1 connects to HOST:PORT, from IP-1 Socket 2 connects to HOST:PORT, from IP-1 Socket 3 connects to HOST:PORT, from IP-1 Socket 4 connects to HOST:PORT, from IP-2 Socket 5 connects to HOST:PORT, from IP-2 Socket 6 connects to HOST:PORT, from IP-2 After creating all sockets I want to access them easy as UNIX sockets from PHP. /sys/socket1 /sys/socket2 /sys/socket3 /sys/socket4 /sys/socket5 /sys/socket6 I want the sockets to work in background (like daemon) and I want to be able to connect from PHP to any of this sockets and RECV/SEND whatever I want. I saw "socat" and I think that's the solution for me, please tell me how to use socat, or how to do it other way. Thankyou!

  • Getting WIF to work with OpenSSO as STS

    - by Tyler
Hi gang, Using OpenSSO as an identity provider, what should I do (i.e. with FedUtil.exe) to configure my .NET relying party so that it will do the STS dance? I've gotten OpenSSO's WS-Trust client samples running, so I think OSSO's in a good state and ready for the next step. I'm at the FedUtil.exe's "Use an existing STS" wall. Where do I get the STS WS-Federation metadata document for OpenSSO? I've tried: the.osso.server:port/opensso/sts the.osso.server:port/opensso/sts?wsdl the.osso.server:port/opensso/sts/mex the.osso.server:port/opensso/sts/mex?wsdl the.osso.server:port/opensso/sts/soap11 the.osso.server:port/opensso/sts/soap11?wsdl with no luck. Thanks for your help, Tyler

  • Help improving a simple assembly function

    - by MPelletier
I just handed in this function in an assignment. It is done (hence no homework tag). But I would like to see how this can be improved. Essentially, the function sums the squares of all the integers between 1 and the given number, using the following formula: n(n+1)(2n+1)/6 Where n is the maximum number. The function below is made to catch any overflow and return 0 should any occur. UInt32 sumSquares(const UInt32 number) { int result = 0; __asm { mov eax, number //move number in eax mov edx, 2 //move 2 in edx mul edx //multiply (2n) jo end //jump to end if overflow add eax, 1 //addition (2n+1) jo end //jump to end if overflow mov ecx, eax //move (2n+1) in ecx mov ebx, number //move number in ebx add ebx, 1 //addition (n+1) jo end //jump to end if overflow mov eax, number //move number in eax for multiplication mul ebx //multiply n(n+1) jo end //jump to end if overflow mul ecx //multiply n(n+1)(2n+1) jo end //jump to end if overflow mov ebx, 6 //move 6 in ebx div ebx //divide by 6, the result will be in eax mov result, eax //move eax in result end: } return result; } Basically, I want to know what I can improve in there. In terms of best-practices mostly. One thing sounds obvious: smarter overflow check (with a single check for whatever maximum input would cause an overflow).

  • How do I use Google protobuf to communicate over a serial port?

    - by rob
I'm working on a project that uses RXTX and protobuf to communicate with an application on a development board and I've been running into issues which implies that I'm likely doing things the wrong way. Here's what I currently have for writing the request to the board (the read code is similar): public void write(CableCommandRequest request, OutputStream out) { CodedOutputStream outStream = CodedOutputStream.newInstance(out); request.writeTo(outStreatm); outStream.flush(); } The OutputStream that is used is prepared by RXTX and the development board seems to indicate that data is being received, but it is getting garbled or is otherwise not being understood. There seems to be little documentation on using protobuf over a serial connection so I'm assuming that passing the OutputStream should be sufficient. Is this in fact correct, or is this the wrong way of sending the response over the serial connection?

  • How do I break down MySQL query results into categories, each with a specific number of rows?

    - by Mel
Hello, Problem: I want to list n number of games from each genre (order not important) The following MySQL query resides inside a ColdFusion function. It is meant to list all games under a platform (for example, list all PS3 games; list all Xbox 360 games; etc...). The variable for PlatformID is passed through the URL. I have 9 genres, and I would like to list 10 games from each genre. SELECT games.GameID AS GameID, games.GameReleaseDate AS rDate, titles.TitleName AS tName, titles.TitleShortDescription AS sDesc, genres.GenreName AS gName, platforms.PlatformID, platforms.PlatformName AS pName, platforms.PlatformAbbreviation AS pAbbr FROM (((games join titles on((games.TitleID = titles.TitleID))) join genres on((genres.GenreID = games.GenreID))) join platforms on((platforms.PlatformID = games.PlatformID))) WHERE (games.PlatformID = '#ARGUMENTS.PlatformID#') ORDER BY GenreName ASC, GameReleaseDate DESC Once the query results come back I group them in ColdFusion as follows: <cfoutput query="ListGames" group="gName"> (first loop which lists genres) #ListGames.gName# <cfoutput> (nested loop which lists games) #ListGames.tName# </cfoutput> </cfoutput> The problem is that I only want 10 games from each genre to be listed. If I place a "limit" of 50 in the SQL, I will get ~ 50 games of the same genre (depending on how much games of that genre there are). The second issue is I don't want the overload of querying the database for all games when each person will only look at a few. What is the correct way to do this? Many thanks!

  • Correctly assigning value to a Core Data attribute with an integer data-type

    - by Gordon Fontenot
I'm missing something here, and feeling like an idiot about it. I'm using a UIPickerView in my app, and I need to assign the row number to a 32-bit integer attribute for a Core Data object. To do this, I am using this method: -(void)pickerView:(UIPickerView *)pickerView didSelectRow:(NSInteger)row inComponent:(NSInteger)component { object.integerValue = row; } This is giving me a warning: warning: passing argument 1 of 'setIntegerValue:' makes pointer from integer without a cast What am I mixing up here? --Edit 1-- Ok, so I can get rid of the warning by changing the method to do the following: NSNumber *number = [NSNumber numberWithInteger:row]; object.integerValue = rating; However, I still get a value of 0 for object.integerValue if I use NSLog to print it out. object.integerValue has a max value of 5, so I print out number instead, and then I'm getting a number above 62,000,000. Which doesn't seem right to me, since there are 5 rows. If I NSLog the row variable, I get a number between 0 and 5. So why do I end up with a completely different number after casting the number to NSNumber? --Edit 2-- Ok, so I'm realizing that there is some fundamental idea that I don't understand. I now understand that the 60 million + number can be cast back to the correct 0-5 number by using integerValue. So, it seems my question is how can I save an integer between 0-5 to the attribute if the NSNumber that is returned is over 60 million? Do I need to be using a different data type?

  • Is it possible to port a Windows RT app to a Windows Phone app?

    - by balint
Just recently released an application to the Windows Store, and I'm wondering if it is possible to "downgrade" it to Windows Phone 7.1 - until Windows Phone 8 will arrive. The real problem is with the async stuff, I've found the "Async Targeting Pack", but it requires Visual Studio 2012; however VS2012 doesn't work with the Phone SDK 7.0, 7.1. I'm not in the mood to install old and ugly Visual Studio 2010 on my brand new Windows 8 machine :) Does anyone know a workaround?

  • How to print a number with a space as thousand separator?

    - by dygi
    I've got a simple class Currency with overloaded operator<<. I don't know how can i separate the number with spaces every 3 digits, so it looks like: "1 234 567 ISK". #include <cstdlib> #include <iostream> using namespace std; class Currency { int val; char curr[4]; public: Currency(int _val, const char * _curr) { val = _val; strcpy(curr, _curr); } friend ostream & operator<< (ostream & out, const Currency & c); }; ostream & operator<< (ostream & out, const Currency & c) { out << c.val<< " " << c.curr; return out; } int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { Currency c(2354123, "ISK"); cout << c; } What interests me, is somehow the easiest solution for this particular situation.

  • Problem retrieving Hostaddress from Win32_TCPIPPrinterPort

    - by Anthony
I'm running into an odd issue retrieving printer port addresses. When I get all the entries in Win32_TCPIPPrinterPort, the HostAddress field (which should have the IP address) is usually blank/null, only the port name has a value. To make it a bit stranger, if a particular port is not in use by any printer, THEN the HostAddress will have the the proper value. The C# code is simple, and results in something like this; IP_192.168.1.100, printerportxyz, richTextBox1.Clear(); ManagementObjectSearcher portSearcher = new ManagementObjectSearcher("root\\CIMV2", "SELECT * FROM Win32_TCPIPPrinterPort"); foreach (ManagementObject port in portSearcher.Get()) { richTextBox1.AppendText( String.Format("Name: {0} HostAddress: {1}", port["Name"], port["HostAddress"]) ); } I also tried the same thing in WSH/VBS, and saw the same behavior.

  • What are some choices to port existing Windows GUI app written in C to Linux?

    - by Warner Young
I've been tasked with porting an existing Windows GUI app to Linux. Ideally, I'd like to do this so the same code base can be used to build either the Windows version or the Linux version. I'll be doing my work on Ubuntu 9.04. After searching around, it's unclear to me what tools are best suited to help me with this. A list of loose requirements would be: The code is in C, not C++, and should compile to build both Windows and Linux versions. Since it's existing code, and fairly large, converting to a managed language like .NET is out of the question for now. I would prefer if I can use the same dialogs in both systems. In Windows, putting up a dialog is pretty simple. You build the dialog in the Resource Editor in Visual Studio, then call DialogBox() API, and handle the event messages. I would really like to find something that can do the equivalent on the Linux side. It would also be nice to have a good IDE similar to Visual Studio. Any helps or hints would be appreciated. Thanks,

  • Send Redirects To Specific Ports

    - by Garrett
I have an Rails application server that is listening on port 9000, and is being called through haproxy. All my redirects from that server are being redirected back through port 9000, when they should be sent back on port 80. I am using a combination of haproxy + nginx + passenger. Is there a way to make sure all redirects are being sent through port 80, regardless of what port the actual server is listening on? I don't care if its a haproxy, nginx, Passenger, or Rails change. I just need to make sure most requests unless specified otherwise, are sent back to port 80. Thanks!

  • How to port an Ajax CMS based on metadata in Asp.Net MVC?

    - by Maushu
I'm maintaining a CMS where I have this feeling it was made in the age of dinosaurs (Asp.net 1.0?) and decided to upgrade it with Asp.Net MVC and jQuery. But I have some problems regarding the design/specifications of the CMS which I cannot change. The CMS The CMS uses JavaScript. Alot. As in "I don't load pages, I request new pages using Ajax and render the information using javascript" alot. Not to mention the animations, the weird horizontal apresentation of structures... anyways, besides the first page (that is the login page) every other "page" is just data requested from a WebService that comes with the website. Would MVC have any problems with this design? The Database The database is in a SQL Server 2k8 and, like the CMS, this part is also... interesting. Basically, the user can create data structures using metadata (and saved on the Structure table). These structures are saved on tables that are created (and regenerated when changed) at runtime using said metadata. I don't know how I would implement this part in MVC. The question is, can and should I convert this project to MVC? Any tips regarding the metadata and overuse of ajax?

  • How can I place zeroes to the left of a given number to a maximum of 6 digits including the given nu

    - by Sergio Tapia
I have this method that receives an ID number and downloads an HTML website according to that ID. Typically, an IMDB link is like this: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0892791/ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1226229/ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0000429/ They all follow the 'tt' then 7 digits, with lack of digits turning into zeroes to fill out the left spaces. How can I accomplish this using C#? I'm kind of stumped. Here's my method: /// <summary> /// Find a movie page using its precise IMDB id. /// </summary> /// <param name="id">IMDB Movie ID</param> /// <returns>Returns an HtmlDocument with the source code included.</returns> public HtmlDocument ByID(string id) { string url = String.Format("http://www.imdb.com/title/tt{0}/", id); HtmlDocument page = downloader.Load(url); return page; } Thank you very much for your time, and if you are interested in helping out, you can check out the complete source code of TheFreeIMDB here: http://thefreeimdb.codeplex.com/

  • How to get a number closest to the average in c++?

    What I'm trying to achieve is to take the average of the numbers stored in the array and find the number which is closest to it. My code compiles, but has an error just after starting. I think it's something to do with the memory handling (I don't feel confident with pointers, etc. yet) Could some nice guy take a look at my code and tell me what's wrong with it? (don't be hard on me, I'm a beginner) #include <iostream> #include <cmath> using namespace std; double* aver(double* arr, size_t size, double& average); int main() { double arr[] = {1,2,3,4,5,7}; size_t size = sizeof(arr)/sizeof(arr[0]); double average = 0; double* p = aver(arr,size,average); cout << *p << " " << average << endl; } double* aver(double* arr, size_t size, double& average){ int i,j,sum; double* m = 0; int tmp[7]; for(i=0;i<size;i++) sum += arr[i]; average = sum/size; for(j=0;j<size;j++){ tmp[j] = arr[j] - average; if(abs(tmp[j])>*m) *m = tmp[j]; } return m; }
