Curently my application supports only english keyboard layout. I have put radiobutton with options English and Danish.     I'm learning Chinese at the moment and I have gotten my hand on a Chinese dictionary definition. Now I would like to make an interface. All I really want the application to do is when I point my mouse pointer over any text on the screen (in any window), it would identify the text I am pointing at and then display a small form over it, which would the chinese transaction. Is that possible to do? Can WinForms apps interact with windows outside of it's own application?

    I am using mmap call to read from a very big file using simple pointer arithmetic in C++. The problem is that when I read small chunks of data (in the order of KBs) multiple times, each read take the same amount of time as the previous one. How can I know if the disk is being accessed to fulfill my request or whether the request is being fulfilled from main memory (page cache) in calls after the first one.

  • Qwt setAxisScale() locks up application when given numbers less than 2e-07 and greater than 0

    I'm using Qwt for some scientific graphing, and I'm working with some fairly small numbers, the smallest being around 1.0e-22. I'm trying to call setAxisScale(xaxis, xmin, xmax) //xmin = 0, xmax = 2.0e-10 But when I do, the application locks up. I haven't found anything in the documentation that refers to a minimum value. Xmin and xmax are both doubles, so that shouldn't be a problem. Is this a bug in Qwt, or am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance

    Hi, I'm currently adding a PDF viewer in a Delphi program using TAcroPDF. My problem is, the touch screens that need to show the PDF are rather small, so I wanted to add bigger buttons for scrolling. I thought I could use the function ScrollBy(DeltaX, DeltaY), but the function scrolls the component within it's container in stead of scrolling the document itself. Is there some way to scroll the PDF document?

  • NSXMLParser + encoding="windows-1257"

    So i'm making small program and it download ziped XML database file that is ~30 MB size (unziped). As I understand there is only way with such big files on iPhone, it's to use NSXMLParser. But that file is encoded with windows-1257 format and NSXMLParser does not eat files like that. What can I do? Is there a way to change file encoding on iphone or make NSXMLParser work with other then UTF8 encoded files?
