  • how to prevent database to add slash to quotes

    i know this sounds really common and so trivial but , am having a challenge here. I have a web site with Zend/Doctrine and i use ckeditor for the backend management. after uploading the site i've realized that during edit testing the look and feel of the site is messed up. with the help of firebug, i've seen that there are slashes all over the html. after inline edition, the look and feel came back to normal. There are so many files , i can't think of doing other decoding before outputting data from mysql. What options do i have to solve this problem. the site is up already and i feel a bit unconfortable about this. Can anyone give a hint? thanks

  • Jquery add percent sign to input box

    I'd like to have an input box that automatically adds a visible percent sign to the user when entering numbers (not just recognizes it as a percent when submitting). Thus, a user hits "2" and sees "2%" I'm assuming one could use Jquery to do this fairly easily, but I have no idea how! Any ideas? Thanks everyone.

    hi guys, i just want to ask help again. I've created a method to read values in gridview, i was able to get and read values from the gridview.     Yea this is a dumb question... However in both of my C++ classes we did not do this at all (except for native libraries: iostream, iomanip, etc.)... My question is can anyone provide a link that gives the general explanation of adding libraries to C++? I do realize what what #include means; it's just I have no clue on the linker/directories in a C++ IDE. So long question short; could I get a general explanation of terms used to link libraries in C++? I'm using c::b w/ MinGW.

    Since static const data inside a class is really just namespace sugar for constants I would think that struct A { float a; struct B { static const int b = a; }; }; would be equivalent to struct A { float a; }; struct A::B { static const int b = a; }; or something similar. Is something like this possible in C++? It would be useful for me to be able to tag class definitions that I'm pulling in from third party libraries with information like this.

    Hi folks, in my C#-project, I have a class which contains a List public class MyClass { public MyClass parent; public List<MyClass> children; ... } I want to prevent the user of the class from Adding (and Deleting) an Element to the children-List, but he shall still be able to parse its elements. I want to handle the Adding and Deleting within MyClass, providing an AddChild(MyClass item) and DeleteChild(MyClass item) to ensure that, when an item is added to the child list, the parent of that item will be set properly. Any idea how to do this besides implementing my own IList? Thanks in advance, Frank

    I have VS 2010 and Word 2010. In Word 2010 there is sometimes a message/warning bar that pops up under the ribbon but above the body of the document that allows the user to do an action. It looks something like this... Can I programmatically though VSTO or Interop create a custom bar that allows the user to click a button and then it executes some code. Take into account that in each of these servers there are completely different configurations, while the application is the same. What is the best way to do this?     I'm using Cycle2 to build a carousel gallery and I've run into a little problem regarding styling the pager buttons. What I've gathered is that Cycle2 creates its own pager span tags for each slide which is a bummer becaus I've already styled my the sub-nav markup. This should be a minor issue as long as I can assign individual classes to the spans and change my css accordingly. However, I can't get this to work. TLDR: I was hoping that I could use pagerAnchorBuilder to create individual classes for each span. I can't. Help.   • Dynamically add rows to listbox

    I have a list box that displays information off of a column of a dataset. I would like the number of rows displayed to be all the rows that are in the dataset (the number of datasets in the rows vary). I'm figuring it has something to do with ListBox.Rows = Dataset.Tables[0].Rows.Count; But it seems to just always default to 4 even when it is only 2.
