Android Drawable question.

Add inner-marging to a 4 columns CSS

I am not a CSS expert (mainly because I haven’t had the need to use much HTML/CSS stuff lately), so I came up with the following style/divs to create a 4 column layout: <style type="text/css">  </style> note: most of this stuff comes from this google result, I just adapted it to 4 columns. The HTML then looks like this: <div class="columns col4"> <div class="column first”> SOME TEXT </div> <div class="column last”> SOME LAST TEXT </div> Ok, I’ve simplified that a bit (there’s a small image and some < h2 text in there too) but the thing is that I’d like to add some space between the columns. Here’s how it looks now: Do you have any idea what CSS property should I touch? note: If I add margin or padding, one column shifts down because (as I understand it) it doesn’t fit. There might be other CSSs as well, since this came in a template (I have been asked for this change, but I didn’t do any of this, as usual). Thanks for any insight.

So, every individual belongs to a group, and has answered some questions. These questions are always grouped in keys and subkeys. Is there any simple method to calculate averages, deviations and similar based on the groupings. Something like public float getAverage(int key, int individual); float avg = getAverage(5,7); I think what I'm asking is what would be the best way to structure the data in C# to make it as easy as possible to work with? I have started making classes for every entity, but I got confused somewhere and something stopped working. So before I continue along this path, I was wondering if there are any other, better, ways of doing this? (Every individual can also have describing variables, like agegroup and such, but that's not important for the base functionality.) Our current solution does all calculations inline in the queries when requesting the data from the database. This works, but it's slow and the number of queries equals questions * individuals + keys * individuals, which could be alot if individual queries. Any suggestions?

Avoid trailing zeroes in printf()

I keep stumbling on the format specifiers for the printf() family of functions. What I want is to be able to print a double (or float) with a maximum given number of digits after the decimal point. If I use: printf("%1.3f", 359.01335); printf("%1.3f", 359.00999); I get 359.013 359.010 Instead of the desired 359.013 359.01 Can anybody help me?

CSS to show all textarea Content in HTML for Printing?

What settings do I need to make it so when a user presses "print" in the browser, using a print.css stylesheet, the textareas display all their content (dynamic height) in the printed version, without using javascript? Using PHP's IMAP library triggers Kaspersky's Antivirus

Hello, I just started today working with PHP's IMAP library, and while imap_fetchbody or imap_body are called, it is triggering my Kaspersky antivirus. The viruses are Trojan.Win32.Agent.dmyq and Trojan.Win32.FraudPack.aoda. I am running this off a local development machine with XAMPP and Kaspersky AV. Now, I am sure there are viruses there since there is spam in the box (who doesn't need a some viagra or vicodin these days?). And I know that since the raw body includes attachments and different mime-types, bad stuff can be in the body. So my question is: are there any risks using these libraries? I am assuming that the IMAP functions are retrieving the body, caching it to disk/memory and the AV scanning it sees the data. Is that correct? Are there any known security concerns using this library (I couldn't find any)? Does it clean up cached message parts perfectly or might viral files be sitting somewhere? Is there a better way to get plain text out of the body than this? I have question about a basic xml file I'm parsing and just putting in simple nextlines(Enters). I'll try to explain my problem with this next example. I'm( still) building an xml tree and all it has to do ( this is a testtree ) is put the summary in an itemlist. I then export it to a plist so I can see if everything is done correctly. play framework NoClassDefFoundError

I've downloaded the typesafe stack for windows and created a new project. When I fire up sbt and try to run the new unmodified application there's this error: [error] java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/jboss/netty/channel/ChannelFactory just out of curiosity I also tried to compile the project. The error is different: [error] IO error while decoding .....welcome.template.scala with UTF-8 [error] Please try specifying another one using the -encoding option What can I do to fix this ?

drawPosText() in android.graphics.Canvas, What is origin?

drawPosText(char[] text, int index, int count, float[] pos, Paint paint) Draw the text in the array, with each character's origin specified by the pos array. Does anyone know where exactly does drawPosText consider the "origin" to be, since you are specifying "origin" as coordinate pairs; i.e., is it bottom-left of character, center, what? Also how does drawPosText calculate character height when it draws?

How to implement VS 2010-like floating tabs?

I'm building a tabbed WPF application. I'm planning to put MapPoint control (ActiveX) on one of the tabs. I want to have the option to float this tab just like in VS 2010. The resulting widow must contain the same instance of the MapPoint control (because each instance of the control starts up separate MapPoint instance). Any idea how to implement this?

How does session_start lock in PHP?

Originally, I just want to verify that session_start locks on session. So, I create a PHP file as below. Basically, if the pageview is even, the page sleeps for 10 seconds; if the pageview is odd, it doesn't. And, session_start is used to obtain the page view in $_SESSION. I tried to access the page in two tabs of one browser. It is not surprising that the first tab takes 10 seconds since I explicitly let it sleep. The second tab would not sleep, but it should be blocked by sessiont_start. That works as expected. To my surprise, the output of the second page shows that session_start takes almost no time. Actually, the whole page seems takes no time to load. How do I use jQueryUI's ui-states with JSF2's h:messages?

It seems like it should be very simple to specify that the h:messages generated by JSF should be styled using jQueryUI's nice ui-states. But sadly I can't make it fit. It seems that the jQueryUI states require several elements (div,div,p,span) in order to make it work. Post microphone input from Flash to server

We're trying to get microphone input in a Flash movie and the post it to the server so it can be saved in a file. Currently, we're using PHP in the server, but I guess the key thing here is: How to post the audio to the server? After a post is made, then I guess it'd be a matter of handling the encoding and saving to a file, which can be done with pretty much any server-side language. Any idea if this is at all possible?

Please recommend PDU SMS format code or library for .NET or C++

They were either huge monsters with terrific dependencies on everything way above my requirements and a very obscure interface, totally not justifying the straight-forward, although rather complex encoding. Being on the edge of creating a NIH, my question is - have encountered the same problem and how have you solved it?

How can I convert data encoded in WE8MSWIN1252 to utf8 for use in Python scripts?

This data comes from an Oracle database and is extracted to flatfiles in encoding 'WE8MSWIN1252'. I want to parse the data and do some analysis. I want to see the text fields but do not need to publish the results to any other system so if some characters do not get converted perfectly I do not have a problem with that. I just do not want my parsing to fail with a decode error which is what I get if I use: inputFile = codecs.open( dataFileName, "r", "utf-8'")
