• Problems with mailenable when sending to yahoo mail

  I'm testing sending emails from mailenable webmail. I have no problems sending mail to gmail or hotmail, both work fine, but yahoo mail sends my messages to the spam folder and shows the attachment icon for the message even though the message doesn't contain any attachments, it's just plain text. It only includes a reply to a previous message, like this: message text ----- Original Message ----- original message text I copied the message content and sent it from gmail to yahoo and the attachment icon didn't show which makes me believe it's something with mailenable. What could possibly be wrong? Also, is there a white list for yahoo mail that I can join? And also for other popular webmail? I'm going to use this on a production website (site visitors use the contact us form to send messages to the site - the mail enable server running on the same machine as the web server - then I check the messages using the mailenable webmail and reply them). This is really important to me, your help would be really appreciated ...

• Unable to authenticate Windows XP clients agains Snow Leopard Server PDC after 10.6.2 upgrade

  I have setup a Snow Leopard Server 10.6.1 as a PDC without problems to authenticate Windows XP clients. Joining a Windows XP client to the SLS PDC Domain and log in from a Windows XP client to the SLS PDC Domain are working. After the update to Snow Leopard Server 10.6.2 the authentication is broken. opendirectory_smb_pwd_check_ntlmv1 gave -14090 [eDSAuthFailed] By changing the Windows XP "Network security: LAN Manager authentication level" policy to NTVLM2 responses only the authentication agains a SMB share is possible, but trying to join SLS PDC Domain is still not possible. opendirectory_smb_pwd_check_ntlmv2 gave -14090 [eDSAuthFailed] Any ideas? Is anyone else having similar authentication difficulties?

  How can I make my client treat 404 Error correctly? Right now it catches a general exception... My WCF Server uses WebOperationContext.Current.OutgoingResponse.SetStatusAsNotFound(); To return a 404 Error code however my WCF client interperts it as an EndPointNotFoundException There was no endpoint listening at http://myUrl that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException, if present, for more details.   Railroad is a great UML tool for Ruby on Rails. It can automatically generate class diagrams of models and controllers. For models, a railroad-generated class diagram shows attributes of each model and the associations between one model and another. A sample diagram can be found here. It is very useful for a developer to see attributes and associations of models. While attributes and associations reveal the inner states and relationships of models, methods specify their behaviours. They are all desirable in a class diagram. I would like railroad to generate a class diagram that also lists methods for models, which will help me to know what each model does. I know methods are displayed in a diagram that is generated for controllers, but I don't see such an option for a diagram of models. Does someone know how to do that with railroad? Or is that possible? Thanks!

  Setting up SSRS. For Service Account, I set a domain account as the Report Server Service Account. click apply SQL Server Connection Dialog pops up. • Setting up kerberos for SQL Server 2008 R2 not taking effect

  I am trying to configure Kerberos for my SQL Server (the database engine domain account). I have executed the following command: SETSPN -A MSSQLSvc/MyDBServer:1433 MyDomain\SQLServerService Replacing MyDBServer with the FQDN of the server and replacing MyDomain\SQLServerService with the name of my account. I then ran the query: SELECT s.session_id , c.connect_time , s.login_time , s.login_name , c.protocol_type , c.auth_scheme , s.HOST_NAME , s.program_name FROM sys.dm_exec_sessions s JOIN sys.dm_exec_connections c ON s.session_id = c.session_id This returns NTLM. So it's not Kerberos. What am I mising? The delegation tab is available for the account, so the spn bit worked perfectly fine. Is it not required to set some settings in the delegation tab? I've seen this in the case of setting kerberos for Sharepoint 2010 (which I intend to setup). Thanks

• How to make the subview in a UIScrollView to refresh when we zoom it?

  I have subclassed UIView object inside a uiscrollview which displays a pdf page. I can zoom that page. But when I do so, the inside view is zoomed and is getting blurred. I understood that the inner view shud be refreshed and i called setNeedsDisplay. But no change have happened and its the same even now. • MS SQL Server 15MM rows, simple COUNT query. 15+ seconds?

  We took over a website from another company after a client decided to switch. We have a table that grows by about 25k records a day, and is currently at 15MM records. The table looks something like: id (PK, int, not null) member_id (int, not null) another_id (int, not null) date (datetime, not null) SELECT COUNT(id) FROM tbl can take up to 15 seconds. A simple inner join on 'another_id' takes over 30 seconds. I can't imagine why this is taking so long. Any advice? SQL Server 2005 Express

• windows 2003 domain and windows xp

  I had to move a computer account from one OU to another OU for the settings to be same as with other computers in the OU. After the computer account was moved to other domain, i reset the computer account. Now there is no domain access to this computer even using domain admin acccount. The error message is that windows cannot connect to domain because your computer account was not found.I reset the computer account again and that didnt make any difference. Local admin access was possilbe and i tried to change the computer to workgroup to join back to domain, but workgroup changing option is greyed out. Is there any way I can solve this issue. • Samba 3.3 or later on Slackware 12 - how do I make this happen?

  I'm trying to upgrade the Samba server on a Slackware 12 box to serve as PDC for Windows 7 32bit machines (it now has a 3.0.3 and does the job for Win XP machines, but 7 refuses to join the domain - I'm posting this after having tried a few dozen hacks on the windows registry). I'm a newbie on Slackware (I usually dwell in Ubuntu) so I may be going about this the wrong way but this is what I've done so far: The Samba wiki has a couple of hacks for the registry and also seems to suggest a version later than 3.3 (though not in so many words) http://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Windows7 Having scoured the net for later Samba binaries for Slackware 12 and gotten precisely nowhere, I decided that maybe I could compile the blessed thing. But I keep on getting compiler errors. I'm using this SlackBuild script http://ftp.twaren.net/Linux/slackware/slackware-current/source/n/samba/samba.SlackBuild Is there a better way to make this happen? (without upgrading the base system? it has so many finely tuned things running that I don't want to mess with the rest of the setup).

  I have a rails model called 'audioclip'. I orginally created a scaffold with a 'new' action, which I replaced with 'new_record' and 'new_upload', becasue there are two ways to attach audio to this model. Going to /audioclips/new_record doesn't work because it takes 'new_record' as if it was an id. Instead of changing this, I was trying to just create '/record_clip' and '/upload_clip' paths. So in my routes.db I have: map.record_clip '/record_clip', :controller => 'audioclips', :action => 'new_record' map.upload_clip '/upload_clip', :controller => 'audioclips', :action => 'new_upload' When I navigate to /record_clip, I get ActionController::MethodNotAllowed Only get, head, post, put, and delete requests are allowed. I'm not extremely familiar with the inner-workings of routing yet. What is the problem here? (If it helps, I have these two statements above map.resources = :audioclips

  Hi all - I'm developing a simple LAMP app where users can credit their account using Paypal. I suspect this is a simple issue, but have spent quite a while experimenting to no avail and would appreciate any thoughts: System has a user management system working fine using sessions, but I can't get it to display the current user's credit. But I've been trying things along the lines of: $result = mysql_query(" SELECT * FROM users INNER JOIN account ON account.UserID=account.UserID ORDER BY account.accountID"); while($_SESSION['Username'] = $row['Username'] ) { echo $row['Username']; echo $row['Credit']; } I suspect the while statement is invalid, but I want it to echo username and credit where the current session username = the username stored in the database.   I need to deploy to 2 different server and these 2 servers have different authentication methods (one is my university's server and the other is an amazon web server AWS) I already have running capistrano for my university's server, but I don't know how to add the deployment to AWS since for this one I need to add ssh options for example to user the .pem file, like this: ssh_options[:keys] = [File.join(ENV["HOME"], ".ssh", "test.pem")] ssh_options[:forward_agent] = true I have browsed starckoverflow and no post mention about how to deal with different authentication methods this and this I found a post that talks about 2 different keys, but this one refers to a server and a git, both usings different pem files. This is not the case. I got to this tutorial, but couldn't find what I need.   Hello, I'm using seam to develop a simple web app. Using a4j commandButton in many places, with the property reRender="componentName" componentName is in most places a a4j outputPanel Which always worked, until I used a template. with include of two different views. reRender applied to the whole view does work, but reRender applied to an inner component does not. Same issue with page rules, all action I had defined are not functioning any more. • DIV Overlaying DIV, links in backmost DIV non-accessible

  I have a photoshop image that is 500x600 that I am using as a background image for the first div. The second div sits over top of the first div and is populated with images. The z-index of the first div is set to 100. The effect is the photoshop image sits over top of all of the smaller images. The photoshop image is a letter with the inner-content of it set to be transparent and the small images create the filling. Each of the small images however is a link, but none of the links are accessible. How can I remedy that? I would post the code here, but I have absolutely no clue how to format it. I quite simply do not understand typing a backtick followed by the tab key and then a dollar sign. All that ends up is I type a backtick here followed by a dollar sign in the Tags section below.

• Oracle data warehouse design - fact table acting as a dimension?

  THANKS: Both answers here are very helpful, but I could only pick one. I really appreciate the advice! our datawarehouse will be used more for workflow reports than traditional analytical reports. Our users care about "current picture" far more than history. (though history matters, too.) We are a government entity that does not have costs or related calculations. Mostly just counts of people within given locations and with related history. We are using Oracle, and I have found distinct advantage in using the star join whenever possible and would like to rearchitect everything to as closely resemble the star schema as is reasonable for our business uses. Speed in this DW is vital, and a number of tests have already proven the star schema approach to me. Our "person" table is key - it contains over 4 million records and will be the most frequently used source in queries. It can be seen at the center of a star with multiple dimensions (like age, gender, affiliation, location, etc.). It is a very LONG table, particularly when I join it to the address and contact information. However, it is more like a dimension table when we start looking at history. For example, there are two different history tables that have a person key pointing to the person table. One has over 20 million records and the other has almost 50 million and grows daily. Is this table a fact table or a dimension table? Can one work as both? If so, is that going to be a big performance problem? Is it common to query more off of a dimension than a fact? What happens if a DIFFERENT fact table that uses the person table as a dimension is actually only 60,000 records (much smaller.). I think my problem is that our data and use of it does not fit with the commonly use examples of star schemas. CLARIFICATION: Some good thoughts have been added below, but perhaps I left too much out to really explain well. Here's some more info: We handle a voter database. We don't have any measures except voter counts by various groups: voter counts by party, by age, by location; voter counts by ballot type and election, by ballot status and election, etc. We do have a "voting history" log as well as an activity audit log (change of address, party, etc.). We have information on which voters are election workers and all that related information. I figure I'll get to the peripheral stuff later. For now I'm focusing on our two major "business processes": voter registration(which IS a voter.) and election turnout. In the first, voter is a fact. In the second, voter is a dimension, along with party, election, and type of ballot. (and in case anyone is worried - no we don't know HOW people vote. Just that they do. LOL ) I hope that clarifies things a bit.

  What is the right way to poll from differents AWS SQS in the same process? Suppose I have a ruby script: listen_queues.rb and run it. Should I need to create threads to wrap each SQS poll or start sub processes? t1 = Thread.new do queue1.poll do |msg| .... end t2 = Thread.new do queue2.poll do |msg| .... end t2.join I tried this code, but the poll is not receiving any of the messages available. When I run only one of them (t1 or t2), it works. But I need the 2 running. What is going on? Thanks!!
