  • EGL initialized failed

    Hello Everybody, I used a SurfaceView and EGL to render my 3D contents. When I press BACK and return my activity, the activity's 3D objects become to white. The reason is when the original activity(3D activity) resume, EGL would initialize again. So EGL would initialize and destroy everytime when different activities switch. I am not sure if the problem is EGL initialize twice... but I did initialize and destroy EGL correctly. Anybody have this problem ? Have any solutions about this ?? Thank you so much

  • I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around handling the Activity Lifecycle...

    So it seems i've created a fatal flaw and coded an app before understanding/handling rotation/lifecycle events.. Currently, all of my code is in onCreate of each activity. I've read a lot of lifecycle tutorials online, including the official dev guide info, but i'm still having an almost unbelievably hard time trying to wrap my head around the rotation/lifecycle events/methods and when to use them correctly. For example, my app currently has an activity that opens the db, inserts a record, then closes the db.. if i rotate my screen on this activity, the data is re-entered into the db. Using the available lifecycle events (onPause(), onResume(), etc..), how would I prevent this db call from happening again? Would I have to pass a variable through the state saying that the db call has been done, and not to do it again? Thanks in advance..

    Hello! Client wants some tricky stuff and i don't really know where to start with it. The idea is that there is a horizontal scrollView whose each page consists of a vertical scrollView. For example, on the horizontal axis there are galleries, on the vertical we scroll through selected gallery's images. Is this even possible? I'd be very glad to hear comments on this one!

  • How to invert arrow image placed before the first cell when tableview cells are swiped beyond first

    Hi all, In my application, I need to add this functionality that there should be an arrow image upside down placed before first cell and some text like "Pull down to refresh" and when user pulls the table beyond this then this arrow gets inverted and text changes to "Release to refresh" and when the user releases his finger, the data is refreshed and rows get added to that point So now this initial arrow and text moves upwards before the first cell again. Can anybody tell me wheather there's any event that does this? Or else which event I need to capture in order to add this functionality? Thanks in advance.

    I have a string of comma separated values in this way (0.2,0.3,0.4,1.0). I used componentsSeperatedByString to store the values in an NSArray. Now I need to store them in NSDictionary as (1st value from NSArray), key1, (2nd Value of NsArray), key2,..nil]; My program is in this way NSArray *split1; NSDictionary *enemy1; float value1; for(id line in lines) { string1 = line; split1 = [string1 componentsSeparatedByString:@","]; numberOfValues = [split1 count]; for(id value in split1) { enemy1 = [NSDictionary dictionaryWithObjectsAndKeys:@"[[split1 objectAtIndex:0]flaotValue]", @"A1", nil]; } } value1 = [enemy1 objectForKey:@"A1"]; Here lines is an NSArray consisting of CSV strings of number 10.   • How to tell if a user updated my app or installed a new one

    I need a way to tell if the app being used by a user is a fresh new install (new user), or was a pre-existing user who updated. The previous app version did not track UDID's, and didn't save anything (it just ran as a simple app). Is there a way for an update to tell if the user previously installed the app? Even if that app didn't save anything into the documents folder, and the app didnt communicate with a server (UDID post)? (id like to be able to offer bonus features to my existing loyal users who had already installed the original app and updated) thanks!!

  • Wake lock does not seem to work.

    I'm developing an app in which i need the TCP connection to stay alive. I've implemented a kind of ping/pong system to do this. It works perfectly when the screen is on, but when it goes of the phone stops responding to the pings after a while. I've created a Wi-Fi wake lock but i'm still experiencing still the same problem.. Any ideas?

  • iPhone keeps going into dim/sleep mode even with the proper API calls.

    I call: [[ UIApplication sharedApplication ] setIdleTimerDisabled: YES ] on the applicationDidFinishLaunching event.. I set a breakpoint on it, which fires so I know it's getting called.. I've also called this function in other places as well.. Basically, a 3G iPhone will still go into sleep mode, but my 3GS won't. Has anyone seen this behavior before? Both are running the latest OS versions. Thanks for reading!

    I have an NSTimer declared in my .h and in the viewDidLoad of the /m I have the code: timer = [NSTimer scheduledTimerWithTimeInterval:kComplexTimer target:self selector:@selector (main) userInfo:nil repeats:YES]; I also have [timer release]; in my dealloc. However when I exit the view and return to it, the timer has not in fact released, it has doubles in speed! How do I solve this & what am I doing wrong??? Thanks

I've heard that since version 1.0 it isn't dependant on webkit anymore and it makes app-development more exiting of course, please correct me if i'm wrong. As many people out there i love Javascript Frameworks such as JQuery and Mootools much, but they were build specifically to do a great job within a browser and most of the functionality is not needed within the environment Titanium now provides (DOM-Manipulation etc).   • Generating an NSDictionary from an SQL statement.

    I am trying to generate an NSDictonary that can be used to populate a listview with data I retrieved from an SQL statement. when I go to create an array and add them it adds the arrays for ALL my keys and not just for the current key.
