  • How can I set up a regex to rename files automatically for Atftp?

    I've a question about the package named 'atftp'. I've got the atftp daemon finally working. Previously I was using tftp-hpa with a custom rule that replaces filenames with capitals into non-capital filenames and replaces the backslashes into forward slashes so that WinPE will boot fine. But in atftp I can't find rules or replacements like that. I'm searching for long, but cannot find or write the right pcre-pattern. Could you help me with this?

  • Gentoo server time issue, can't manually set time, NTPD won't correct, too big of a time difference

    So, my server is living in the future, unfortunately I can't get lottery numbers, or stock picks out of it. It thinks this is the time: Thu Nov 7 04:07:18 EST 2013 Not correct, I tried to set the time manually via date in a few ways # date -s "06 NOV 2013 14:48:00" # date 110614482013 -- same output, same problem Which outputs Wed Nov 6 14:48:00 EST 2013, but when I check the date again, it's still set to Nov 7th 0400 or whatever. I checked my system messages, and I see this pop up often: Nov 7 03:54:00 www ntpd[4482]: time correction of -47927 seconds exceeds sanity limit (1000); set clock manually to the correct UTC time. Which makes sense, we're way off the correct time. But I can't seem to manually fix it. So now what? Also, I'm wondering if my hardware clock is setup correct, hwclock doesn't return any values. Would that be causing issues? This is a virtualized server, I don't have direct access to the hypervisor, but I can talk to who does, assume I can explain myself well enough. Thanks

    I'm trying to set an environment variable to point to the directory into which I have extracted the latest version of OpenCV, following the instructions in OpenCV's Installation in Windows tutorial. Here's my elevated command line listing. C:\>cd C:\OpenCV2.4.6\build\x64\vc11 C:\OpenCV2.4.6\build\x64\vc11>cd ../../../.. C:\>setx -m OPENCV_DIR C:\OpenCV2.4.6\build\x64\vc11 SUCCESS: Specified value was saved. C:\>cd %OPENCV_DIR% The system cannot find the path specified. C:\>echo %OPENCV_DIR% %OPENCV_DIR% Firstly I change directory to C:\OpenCV2.4.6\build\x64\vc11 to ensure that it exists. After that is successful I change directory back to the root of the C drive. Then I use setx to make OPENCV_DIR a system wide environment variable with value the C:\OpenCV2.4.6\build\x64\vc11 path I verified in step 1. Noting the success of setx in the previous step I now change directory using the new environment variable. But it fails with the message The system cannot find the path specified. If I try to echo the value of the OPENCV_DIR environment variable it appears not to be set. Looking in the control panel the OPENCV_DIR environment variable looks correctly set: What's wrong? Why is the variable not working? Am I evoking it incorrectly when I use it to change directory or echo its value?

  • Custom keyboard shortcuts are reset. How can I make them set permanently?

    I'm having a problem with both Ubuntu 12.04 and 12.10 with custom keyboard shorcuts. They are reset after a while (I can't find a pattern but it seems to be when a massive upgrade happens). It happend to me a couple of days ago, when 12.10 got about 27 updates. I've searched launchapd and askubuntu, and found no question similar. My shortucts are not lost on reboot, I still can't find a pattern to identify the problem as I said. I tried also not using Control Center app, but gnome's dconf-editor, but same result as I found on some blog post. My question is, how can I save my custom shorcuts to restore them when this happens? Can somebody help me compose a bug for launchpad, like what package could be causing this, so I can fill a bug report. Thanks in advance.

    I have quite simple task to accomplish - I have to set up the security for web services ( basic authentication with hardcoded in WLES user id and password). I set the web.xml (see code fragment below) but I have tough time configuring WebLogic. I added IdentityAssertionAuthenticator Authentication Provider, set it as Required, modified DefaultAuthenticator as Optional and I went to deployed application's security and set the role to "thisIsUser" and at some point it worked, but not anymore (I redeployed war file and set web service security the same way but no avail.)   • naming a method - using set() when *not* setting a property?

    Is setX() method name appropriate for only for setting class property X? For instance, I have a class where the output is a string of an html table. Before you can you can call getTable, you have to call setTable(), which just looks at a other properties and decides how to construct the table. It doesn't actually directly set any class property -- only causes the property to be set. When it's called, the class will construct strHtmlTable, but you can't specify it. So, calling it setTable breaks the convention of get and set being interfaces for class properties. Is there another naming convention for this kind of method? Edit: in this particular class, there are at least two ( and in total 8 optional ) other methods that must be called before the class knows everything it needs to to construct the table. I chose to have the data set as separate methods rather than clutter up the __construct() with 8 optional parameters which I'll never remember the order of.

  • C# Why is a treeview node clicked when canceled is set to true?

    In my winform application I have a treeview. To give the idea that a node is disabled I set the node's forecolor and I when the BeforeSelect fires I set e.cancel to true. However when a node's tag meets some criteria a node may be selected. So that's why I have a NodeMouseClick. But when a node may not be clicked I set the e.cancel to true in the BeforeSelect event. The problem now is, the NodeMousClick event is always fired and all the code is ececuted, even when I set e.cancel to true in the BeforeSelect event. Why is that?

    I have set up Eclipse PDT on Galileo. I'm able to run and debug PHP sites that are set up on XAMPP. The thing is, I want to profile one of the sites, but cannot for the life of me figure out how to set this up. There is a profiling menu when I right-click the PHP project, but no indication of how to proceed from there. BTW I'm using Xdebug as the debug engine.

  • Accessing both stored procedure output parameters AND the result set in Entity Framework?

    Is there any way of accessing both a result set and output parameters from a stored procedure added in as a function import in an Entity Framework model? I am finding that if I set the return type to "None" such that the designer generated code ends up calling base.ExecuteFunction(...) that I can access the output parameters fine after calling the function (but of course not the result set). Conversely if I set the return type in the designer to a collection of complex types then the designer generated code calls base.ExecuteFunction<T>(...) and the result set is returned as ObjectResult<T> but then the value property for the ObjectParameter instances is NULL rather than containing the proper value that I can see being passed back in Profiler. I speculate the second method is perhaps calling a DataReader and not closing it. Is this a known issue? Any work arounds or alternative approaches?     This might seem like a common question that have been already solved. Well, I checked many tutorials, question and googled a lot but almost everything failed after all. The main problem is that I do not have gconf-editor and even if I install it, I don't have an "/apps/nautilus/preferences/show_desktop" option to uncheck to finish whole quite known compiz tweak.     I really enjoy some of the free Linux games and just downloaded Cave Story, one of my all-time favorites. However, I can only play the game in full screen, 800X600 Resolution. I was wondering if I could run this program in a window instead of full screen. Is there a command or Unity plugin to do this? Also, would the same work to run SuperTux in a window as well?     I work for a gym. I am the programmer, its just me, nobody else! Gets really frustrating when there's nobody to bounce conceptual ideas off of. I'm getting rid of our archaic paper binder systems for tracking appointments and what not. I've made a lot of things successfully already, now I'm trying to tackle the personal training department. What I want: Trainer information and work schedule Appointment booking that can be done by time slot with all available trainers for that time, or by trainer with all available hours for that trainer What I've tried so far: I started with an 'appointments' database, a 'trainers' database, and a 'schedules' database. This became so complicated trying to fit the schedule in that I scrapped it. Does anyone know know the best way to structure the tables for this and how to sort of make them communicate correctly? I don't need specific code, I just need help understand how to make this thing!

    I have a table of values, with one of the columns being of type SET. If it currently has the members ('a', 'b', 'c', 'd'), how do I add 'e' to the possible values? I realize that using a SET type is a little strange, and I'm unclear why one would use it instead of a foreign key to another table with the values of the set, but I didn't design the database in question, and can't change it that much. Getting an image to move is easy: Input input = gc.getInput(); if(input.isKeyDown(sprite.up)){ sprite.y--; }else if (input.isKeyDown(sprite.down)){ sprite.y++; }else if (input.isKeyDown(sprite.left)){ sprite.x--; }else if (input.isKeyDown(sprite.right)){ sprite.x++; } However, this is called on every update, so if you hold up, the sprite moves to the edge of the screen in a few hundred milliseconds. Since coordinates are integers, I can't add less than 1 to slow the sprite down. I'm assuming I must have to implement a timer of some sort or something. Any advice?

I can do M-X set-justification-full for a region successfully, but I would like to make it work in the whole document. Second.   • If you had to go back and re-learn your skill set, how would you do it?

    My younger brother is looking to start programming. He's 14, and technically-inclined, but no real experience programming. He's looking to me for guidance, and I don't feel as if my experience is enough, so I figured I'd ask here. He's more interested in web programming, but also has an interest in desktop/mobile/server applications. What would be a good learning path for him to take? I'm going to buy him a bunch of books for Christmas to get him started; the question is, what should he learn, and in which order? The way I see it, he needs to learn theory and code. I'd like to start him off with Python or Ruby or PHP. If he wants to get in to web, he's also going to need to learn HTML, CSS, Javascript, etc. Out of those three domains (Languages, Theory, Markup/Etc.), what is the best order do you think to learn in? Also, am I missing anything? Thanks!
