  • Why would a FaceBook application "work" on a profile, but not a page?

    I made a FaceBook application that works fine on profiles, but I can't figure out how to get it to show on a FaceBook page. For example, after I visit the application canvas URL, allow the application, then edit application settings and "add" to box and tab view... I cannot click the "plus" symbol to the left of the tabs in order to add a tab for the application. It does not appear in the list of available applications. Meanwhile, the application is working/showing up on profiles with no issues. I DID check the "Installable to Pages" checkbox on the application (authentication tab) settings. What could cause this?   • Scheduled task username changed

    Hi, I created a user on our exchange server, but later changed the username. Now, when I create a scheduled task for that user, and change it's settings (run only when logged on), the username is automatically changed back to the old username. What's causing this and how do I make sure the correct, new username is used for the task (otherwise it won't run), security settings are okay. I did already log in with a different user to delete the profile on the computer and tried again with this user to no avail. The OS is windows xp, the exchange server is on windows server 2003.   • HDD Producing high pithched beep noise

    Recently I had an upgrade on one of my PC I added a 512Mb Nvidia Graphic card and 500GB seagate 7200Rpm HDD, Now the new HDD is producing a high pitched squeek/beep i cant really tell and on reboot my XP sector 63 gets corrupted, so I get reboot error. I gave the HDD for replacement but the replaced one too makes the noice, yet the HDD does not produce sound on my gaming rig.

  • Extended desktop problem

    I'm a little embarrassed I can't seem to fix this issue: Running a Dell D630 laptop with a VGA to an external monitor. Every time the computer goes to sleep the Dualview setting reverts to single display. I click the Nvidia dualview setting again but the external monitor remains black screen. The only way I can get it working again is to restart :(. What's going on here?? thanks yall //sw

    I have a site built in Drupal 6 that requires a number of blocks that are only visible to certain roles or on specific pages. Normally, I would use the block configuration settings to control page and role visibility. However I recently ran across the context module that effectively splits the site into "sections" or "groups" of related attributes. My question is: When is it appropriate to control block visibility from context rather than the block configuration settings? Should I only use one or the other or a combination of both?

  • Open source configuration framework for ASP.NET - does one exist?

    We currently have an old product written in classic asp and are about to re-write parts in ASP.NET. One big problem is that much of the cutomer-specifics within the system are hard coded. We want to split this out for specific customers by storing data in the database. Is there a quick an easy open source framework which allows me to set up some quick tables and simple UIs to allow me to change configuration items? We have 6-7 modules, and it would be nice to have the ability to have system admins gain access to a configuration area where they can set-up settings in a tabbed UI format, settings could also be set-up to allow dropdown, fields, numbers etc. The items could then be accessed via classes in C#/vb for use within the operational parts of the system. If not, I'm suprised and it might even be a good basis for a new open source project.

  • How to use two external monitors on Alienware m17x along with laptop monitor (total 3 monitors)

    I'd like to use the native 1920x1200 laptop monitor that comes with the Alienware m17x along with 2 additional external monitors, one through the displayport and another through the hdmi port. Is there any way to do this? And if so how? I've tried to update the nvidia drivers, I've installed ultramon, etc., but I can't seem to make it happen. I've seen posts that suggest it's possible, but I can't seem to figure out how.

    Android doesn't appear to provide a way for a user application to change the system time. What I would like to do instead is to get the user to change the time. It is easy to open up the Date & Time settings: startActivity(new Intent(android.provider.Settings.ACTION_DATE_SETTINGS)); What I would like to know is: Is it possible to link directly to the set time option? Is it possible to check that the user set the time correctly? I am aware of the TIME_CHANGED broadcast message, but I can't find any documentaion on it

  • PHP Session code work differently on two servers

    I have some code which works fine on one server but is giving a session header warning: Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent on another. I have checked the php.ini settings on the two servers and they are identical. I know that the warning message is supposed to suggest that something has been outputted before the session_start but what I don't understand is why the same code works on one server but not the other. Is there anything else that could be explaining it other than the php.ini settings?

It reports these numbers: GPU: 74C Temp1 (ACPI): 75C Temp2 (ACPI): 95C Core 0: 89C Core 1: 89C These seem awfully high to me, should I be concerned? This is an HP EliteBook 8730w with Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Extreme CPU X9100 @ 3.06GHz and nVidia Quadro FX 3700M.

    I'm kinda new to Module::Build, so maybe I did something wrong. Am I the only one who gets warnings when I change my dispatch from "test" to "testcover"? Is there a bug in Devel::Cover? Is there a bug in Module::Build? I probably just did something wrong. I'm using ActiveState Perl v5.10.0 with Module::Build version 0.31012 and Devel::Cover 0.64 and Eclipse 3.4.1 with EPIC 0.6.34 for my IDE. UPDATE: I upgraded to Module::Build 0.34 and the warnings are still output. *UPDATE: Looks like a bug in B::Deparse.   • Rails: How to produce 404 or redirect upon undesired url exploitation?

    I want to hide the urls for editing users and their profiles behind safer and meaningful urls. For instance, I want /user/13/edit to be /settings/account and /user/13/profile/edit to be /settings/profile. I managed to achieve that, but for that I had to load the user information from the current_user bit from the session. Like so: # users_controller def edit @user = current_user end # profiles_controller def edit @user = current_user @profile = @user.profile end But now, since I can't compare @user.id from the params with the current_user in the session, how can I stop the old urls (/user/13/edit and /user/13/profile/edit) from being exploitable? They always load the forms for the current user, so there's no harm done, but I'd be more comfortable if they just produced a 404 error or something. Thanks in advance.

  • Linking Boost to my C++ project in Eclipse

    I'm trying to get the Boost library working in my C++ projects in Eclipse. I can successfully build when using header-only libraries in Boost such as the example simple program in the "Getting Started" guide using the lambda header. I cannot get my project to successfully link to the regex Boost library as shown later in the guide. Under my project properties - c/c++ build - settings - tool settings tab - libraries, I have added "libboost_regex" to the Libraries box, and "C:\Program Files\boost\boost_1_42_0\bin.v2\libs" to the Library search path box since this is where all the .lib files are. I've even tried adding "libboost_regex-mgw34-mt-d-1_42.lib" to the libraries box instead of "libboost_regex" since that is the exact file name, but this did not work either. I keep getting an error that says "cannot find -llibboost_regex" when I try to build my project. Any ideas as to how I can fix this?

  • SOS: AudioFormat when writing to file in FreeTTS

    Very annoying problem. I have developed a freeTTS application of the freetts class that write captured audio to file however I am having some very annoying problems. When setting the audio player to singlefileaudio player I try to also set the audioformat with my own default values for sampleRate, sampleSizeInBits, channels, signed and bigEndian. Now I access AudioPlayer.get methods to show these values in runtime just to ensure they are set to what I set them and they match those values. However when file writing completes and I check the properties of the resulting wave file, they are set to the audioPlayer default settings. Normally this will be fine except I have to read the files into another application which has fixed audio property settings so I always get a resulting output that sounds like am fast forwarding the sound and listening to it at the same time. Obviously because of the different sampling rates. I need help please. Thanx, Henry

    I have the following HTML. <ul> <li> <a>asdas</a> </li> </ul> In my CSS stylesheet I have general settings for the a tag, and several hundered lines later settings for ul li a. Like this: a:link { color: red; } ... ul li a { color:blue; } Firebug tells me, that first the color:blue is loaded, and afterwards overriden by color:red So far I've always thought, that the order of loading css files and the order of style inside a single css file tell the browser how html elements should be formatted. Unfortunately I'm now experiencing it vice versa. So tell me, how must I correct my style to achieve the a tag inside the li to be rendered blue and not red?
