  • NHibernate Empty Set Clauses in SQL Update Statements

    I'm getting SQL update statements from NHibernate having a empty set clause ie UPDATE SET WHERE x == ? This propblem is occuring when a child entity is being updated for some reason the sql statement is being run against the Parent Entity, for some reason NHibenate is saying the parent has changed but when the set clause is being built no changes are found, can anyone help. The application I am constructing isn 3 tier. The domain entities are light weight data contract only entities.

  • Where are Silverlight assemblies stored when a xap file is run?

    We currently have a XAP file which contains Foo.dll, and another XAP file (with a completely different name) which contains an updated version Foo.dll (but the same version number). When we run the second XAP file, it looks as though the Silverlight runtime on the client, is picking up the old version of Foo.dll from the first XAP file. Anyone know where the Silverlight runtime unzips the xap file before running its content? Or if the runtime executes on a single app domain which could explain these errors?

  • Permanent file changes on iPhone simulator

    I'm in trouble with paths, relative paths, NSBundle and all the path/file related operations :) While i run the simulator everthing goes right but all the file changes are not permanent, so everytime i run my app i have to repeat the initial setup of my app. The question: What is the proper way to read and write files (from resource dir) and make all the file changes permanent (updated into the project folder) ?   • Parant/master project in git

    Hi all I have a project "A" that is a Git repo. I would like to be able to make multiple copies of project A (B and C), and modify them for clients. "A" is the master so sometimes when I do new functionality i would like to be able to pull them from B or C. But some commits should just stay in A and never leave :-) How do I do that with Git? That is: how to copy A? (Clone?) how to get specific commits into B and C? Please keep in mind that this all happening locally - not on GitHub. I use OS X. Regards, Jacob.

  • Can't retrieve an id through swfupload

    I'm having trouble retrieving an echoed ajax response through SWFupload. Upon uploading a file, my account.php?action=uploadphotographs echos the number 37, the text field hidFileId should then be updated with this data.   • ASP.NET, Visual Studio and Subversion - how to integrate?

    I use AnkhSVN and Visual Studio 2005 and 2008. Now, one thing that bugs me is that Ankh does not really work with ASP.NET sites. I cannot add them properly to a repository and it won't detect changes, especially because the site is on a remote server accessed through Frontpage Extensions (File = Open Site). What are the alternatives? Does a better plug-in exist? Manually downloading the files through FTP and using TortoiseSVN or svn.exe is not really the level of integration I want :) I want to stay within the Visual Studio IDE when possible. Also, I do not control the remote Server, so I can not install anything on it, which means the whole change tracking/comparison to repository has to be done on my machine.

  • What alternatives are there to Google App Engine?

    What alternatives are there to GAE, given that I already have a good bit of code working that I would like to keep. In other words, I'm digging python. However, my use case is more of a low number of requests, higher CPU usage type use case, and I'm worried that I may not be able to stay with App Engine forever. I have heard a lot of people talking about Amazon Web Services and other sorts of cloud providers, but I am having a hard time seeing where most of these other offerings provide the range of services (data querying, user authentication, automatic scaling) that App Engine provides. What are my options here?

  • Which Subversion do I install for Windows?

    I was reading this article on Coding Horror: http://www.codinghorror.com/blog/2008/04/setting-up-subversion-on-windows.html I went to the downloads and am confused. I would have just downloaded the first entry but I am afraid it would break my server or something if I don't have apache. We use IIS only and I wouldn't want to break it somehow. I don't even need a web or webdav front end.   • what do you expect from flash in the near future?

    The recent article of steve jobs link made me think about the future of flash. I'm learning actionscript 3.0 in my studies but is it the right decision still to go for it? I was pretty sure that I will be able to build application in as3 for iphones/ipads in the near future. It seems to me, while I would stay with flash, the market will be polarized by apple and adobe and you will always work double for both clientele, or just lose half of them. Which decision would you take as a designer, if you were still at university and you intend to become a freelancer?

    What I'd like to use: 2009 XAML primitives How it would be nice to use them: <sapv:ExpressionTextBox xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" ExpressionType="x:String" /> What actually happens: "Type reference cannot find the public type named String" The examples I see don't have updated namespaces. I tried 2009 and 2010, but to no avail. This is in VS 2010 RTM. What am I doing wrong?

    Hi I am wondering how can do a mass insert and bulk copy at the same time? I have 2 tables that should be affect by the bulk copy as they both depend on each other. So I want it that if while inserting table 1 a record dies it gets rolled back and table 2 never gets updated. Also if table 1 inserts good and table 2 an update fails table 1 gets rolled back. Can this be done with bulk copy?

    Hi, I am pretty new to CakePHP, having been using rails for a little while. My question is, can anyone recommend a good user management, authentication and acl plugin or component for Cake? I have come across this one, but it has not been updated since 2008. If not can anyone recommend a good book/tutorial site for this kind of set up? For example: struct Foo { int a, b; } Foo a1 = {1,2}, a2 = {3,4}; dual(a1,a2)->a = 5; // Now a1 = {5,2} and a2 = {5,2} I have a class that works and that change first a1 and then copy a1 into a2. This is fine as long as: the class copied is small the user doesn't mind about everything being copied, not only the part modified.   • Can Visual Studio exclude certain folders when searching for header files?

    I'm having trouble with a library that we are using, which has two copies of header files that are needed - one which we are modifying and building from and another which is automatically created during the build process. I don't fully know why or really want to change this but it can cause a bit of annoyance when on random occasions the go to definition function takes you to the auto created header instead of the one used to build. Usually you can spot it but sometimes you don't and make changes to the auto created one, which are then overwritten or sometimes stay around for a while so that something works on your machine but breaks on other peoples. I don't know if there is any way around this as the auto created folder is in the additional include directories of some of the projects in the solution but I just thought I would ask if there was any good way of reducing the chance of this annoying situation cropping up.

  • Can not login Magento admin page after move to my localhost

    I just move my Magento store to my localhost environment for testing use, I also using Git to maintain code, but after I move all the files to my local environment, I can't login my admin page, but I can still see my frontend pages, and the git, the database, seems works well. When I type a wrong admin/password to my admin page, it still gives me "Invalid password". But when I enter the right one, it just refresh the page and stay at the login page, nothing happens. Does anyone has met this problem before? Has any ideas? Thanks in advance!
