    Hi fellas, A) Are there any FOSS programs out there that can manage to hashchange all files in a directory tree? B) Failing that, what methods could be used to develop this capability in a (crappy) self-written program without requiring the program to be sophisticated and content-aware? Is there any (roughly) universally safe location within a file (for example, around EOF?) where on could one simply append/add psuedorandom data so the resulting hash is different?   • How do I change the class of an object to a subclass of its current class in C++?

    I have an array of pointers to a base class, so that I can make those pointers point to (different) subclasses of the base class, but still interact with them. (really only a couple of methods which I made virtual and overloaded) I'm wondering if I can avoid using the pointers, and instead just make an array of the base class, but have some way to set the class to the subclass of my choosing. I know there must be something there specifying the class, as it needs to use that to look up the function pointer for virtual methods. By the way, the subclasses all have the same ivars and layout. Note: the design is actually based on using a template argument instead of a variable, due to performance increases, so really the abstract base class is just the interface for the subclasses, which are all the same except for their compiled code. I've figured out how to encode one number, but it wont work the same way with five numbers.

My Procedure last day as below Click Start, Run and type Regedit.exe Navigate to the following branch: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Command Processor In the right-pane, double-click Autorun and set the startup folder path as its data, preceded by “CD /d “. If Autorun value is missing, you need to create one, of type REG_EXPAND_SZ or REG_SZ in the above location. Example: To set the startup directory to D:\learning\perl, set the Autorun value data to CD /d D:\learning\perl Then I clicked Start, run and type cmd. It successfully. I could do perl practice more conveniently now. But today, I find when I try to build my Visual Studio 2005 solution which included some Pre-build event Command like this: perl.exe MyAppVersion.pl perl.exe AttrScan.pl It doesn't work. Show error: can't find the path. I check the environment variable setting and find the variable-path and it's value-c:\perl\bin\; still exist. Finially, I try to removed the Regedit.exe configuration "Autorun" value and test again. The issue fixed. I only changed the default startup directory for cmd.exe command. Why the pre-build event perl command was impacted? (I am using winxp and activePerl 5.8)

    I tried session.createSQLQuery("ALTER TABLE People MODIFY address VARCHAR(1000);").executeUpdate(); but this throws org.hibernate.exception.SQLGrammarException: could not execute native bulk manipulation query After a lot of googling, the recommendation is to use HQL instead of SQL query to do bulk updates. Not sure how to use HQL to accomplish this. There seems to be no decent HQL documentation for updating column length in a table. Thanks so much for the help.

  • NServiceBus & MSMQ: How To Change the Default Permissions on the Queue?

    My team is on our first attempt at using NServiceBus (v2.0), using MSMQ as the backing storage. We're getting stuck on queue permissions. We're using it in a Web Forms application, where the user account the website runs under is not an administrator on the machine. When NServiceBus creates the MSMQ queue, it gives the local administrators group full control, and the local everyone and anonymous groups permissions to send messages. But then later, as part of initializing the queue, NServiceBus tries to read all of its messages. That's where we run into the permissions error. Since the website isn't running as an administrator, it's not allowed to read messages. How are other people dealing with this? Do your applications run as administrators? Or do you create the MSMQ queue in your code first, giving it the permissions you need, so that NServiceBus doesn't have to create it? Or is there a bit of configuration we're missing? Or are we likely writing our code that uses NServiceBus incorrectly to be running into this?

I've looked up tutorials on game trainers to understand how they work, and the general idea is to use a memory scanner to try and find the address of a certain value. Then modify this address by injecting a dll or whatever. But i made a simple program with a global int* and its address changes every time i run the app, so i don't get how game trainers can hard code these addresses? Or is my example wrong? What am i missing?

  • What will happen if I change the type of a column from int to year?

    I have a table in MySQL 4.0 which currently has a year field as a smallint(6) type. What will happen if I convert it directly to a Year type with a query like the following: ALTER TABLE t MODIFY y YEAR(4) NOT NULL DEFAULT CURRENT_TIMESTAMP; When the current members of column y have values like 2010? I assume that because the year type is technically values from 1-255, values above that will be truncated or broken. So if MySQL isn't smart enough to realize that 2010(int) = 110(year), what would be the simplest query or queries to convert the values? Thanks for your help!

If I just set myImageView.image = newImage; the new image is visible immediately. Not animatable. I want it to nicely fade into the new image. I thought maybe there's a better solution than just creating a new UIImageView on top of that and blending with animation?

  • Is it possible to change the default InputView in MonoTouch?

    I would like to display a different view than the standard keyboard (a picker control, or a date picker, for example) when a text field becomes first responder (i.e. gets focus). This would be really nice, because currently I'm pushing a custom view which contains my picker control onto the navigation stack where the user chooses an option, and then hits an OK or Cancel button. According to the documentation for UITextField.InputView: Assigning a custom view to this property causes that view to be presented instead. But, It's read only!!! Is there a workaround for this? Do I need to implement a custom UITextField control and somehow override the InputView property? Do I need to call some kind of native function? I'd really love not to have to do either of those things... but if I have to, so be it. Thanks in advance!
