• Upload an image using class.upload.php via AJAX, display image in form using jQuery

  I am using class.upload.php to handle an image upload from a form that submits employee details to a MySQL database. class.upload.php does EXACTLY what I want it to do, resize the image and rename it - what I am now trying to accomplish is to upload via Ajax after the user selects the file and then display it in the form while they continue entering details. How would this best be accomplished with jQuery?

  I have a JSON result that contains numerous records. I'd like to show the first five records in one page and create pager links which have to move to that page with five record so on.   Hi, i was planning to use jquery autocomplete for a site and have implemented a test version. Im now using an ajax call to retrieve a new list of strings for every character input. The problem is that it gets rather slow, 1.5s before the new list is populated. What is the best way to make autocomplete fast? Im using cakephp and just doing a find and with a limit of 10 items.   Hi folks, I am encountering an odd behavior using jQuery to show/hide a menu. I have an absolutely positioned div which contains an "activator " div (relatively positioned) which I want to reveal a menu on moseover. Menu div is contained by the activator div and is also relatively positioned. I was working on assumption that since it would be contained by the activator that rolloff would not be triggered when the mouse travels over into the reveled menu. When you roll onto the revealed menu however show/hide starts pulsing and does so a second or so even after the mouse clears the area.   I have jQuery thickbox(TB_iframe=true) which shows an https page in an iframe based overlay. the parent page is http & overlay page is https.if i use self.parent.tb_remove() This does not work and gives me Permission denied for https://www.abc.com to get property Window.tb_remove from http://www.abc.com. Any solution. I want to be able to close the thikbox irrespective to whether its is https or http page that it is displaying in an iframe.

  i have a jquery toggle that animates and displays a DIV. i have a transparent PNG , drop shadow type background image, and when it first appears, i see a black background then it dissapears once the image loads... is there a way around that? is that a bug? i have it animating slow, so maybe that has something to do with it... should i just make it show()?
