  • jquery to have animated popup

    Hi, In my main page, I need to have a main links dispayed...and on mouse hover of each main link it shud display a layer (something like modal popup but.smooth one)...and in the layer user shud be able to select other links. It shud allow the user to move smoothly between the main links. can i use jquery for this..if not what shud i use? Plz help...Thanks in advance !

  • Delphi native Web Service applications not working. IIS 7 seems to be stripping the pathinfo

    I've run into an interesting problem that I never encountered with XP or IIS 6. Basically, I can't get a native Delphi (WebBroker) Web service server to work with a native Web service client in Windows 7 64-bit. Here's the most basic breakdown. If I create a new Web service application in Delphi 2010 (or any version, back to Delphi 7), and access it using IE 8, I can see the HTML that the WSDLHTMLPublish component creates, but I can never get to the SOAP. In the same way, the WSDL Importer cannot get to the SOAP either. (I have IIS 7 configured to use a 32-bit application pool, and I have created a working Script Map to the Handler Mappings. In short, the 32-bit ISAPI Web service is running). For example, I have a simple Web service server named TestService (created using the default sample interface generated when you create a new Web service server). I installed it in a virtual directory named scripts. If I enter http://localhost/scripts/TestService.dll/wsdl, IIS 7 displays the page http://localhost/scripts/TestService.dll. If I put my mouse over the WSDL link for the ITestService, I see http://localhost/scripts/TestService.dll/wsdl/ITestService in the status bar. However, when I click this link, the address bar shows http://localhost/scripts/TestService.dll/wsdl/ITestService, but I see only the HTML from http://localhost/scripts/TestService.dll. There seems no way to get to the SOAP definition. IIS 7 seems to be ignoring everything after the script name (it is ignoring the pathinfo). Additional evidence that IIS7 is stripping off the pathinfo is that if I pause my mouse over the ITestService link, the statusbar shows http://localhost/scripts/TestService.dll?intf=ITestService. Clicking that link takes me to another HTML page, the one associated with http://localhost/scripts/TestService.dll?intf=ITestService. However, any link that includes a pathinfo following the script name, takes me simply to http://localhost/scripts/TestService.dll. I have tested this in Delphi 7, Delphi 2010, and Delphi XE, with the same results. I am guessing that IIS7 is stripping off the pathinfo, since even the WSDL Importer cannot get to the SOAP definition. Tried creating a new Web service using the CGI option, and got the same result. Have any idea what is going on? Added: Bob Swart reports he has had no problems under Windows 7 32-bit. Downloading the 32-bit OS and will try that (in a new VM).

    there is a way to Dispatch MouseEvent , same as dispatchKeyEvent using the KeyboardFocusManager.getCurrentKeyboardFocusManager().addKeyEventDispatcher(listener); that happens before the event transferred to the component ? i know i have 2 options 1) add mouse event to all compoenents recursive 2) use a transparent glasspane dose java support this , or i have to use the one of the options above thank you

  • WinForms: Alternative to SplitContainer?

    Are there any alternative controls someone can suggest to replace the WinForms SplitContainer? I don't like how the SplitContainer shows that weird, dotted strip when its selected and when its being dragged. I want to have the panels re-size as the user drags instead of on mouse up and not show any dotted strips when the splitter is being dragged. Basically like how all the re-sizing of panels is done in windows explorer on vista. This is the dotted thing I'm talking about:

  • Galleria jQuery plugin briefly shows all images in IE 7 & 8

    I'm using the galleria jQuery plugin on a site. When the gallery first loads, all of the images appear briefly & vertically in ie 7 & 8. This doesn't happen when i isolate the gallery, only when i put it on a somewhat heavy page. This leads me to believe that it happens when the page is a little slow to load. Does anybody know a way to fix this? I feel like an overflow: hidden should fix this, but I've applied it along with a height in every container I could think of. Anybody have any ideas?   • Invert a stack, without using extra data structures?

    How would you invert a stack, without using extra data structures, like a second, or temporary, stack. Thus no stack1-stack2 or stack-queue-stack implementation in the answer. You just have access to push/pop feature of a standard stack. I think there is way to do it by keeping a global counter and using pointer manipulation. If I solve it myself, I will post it. If someone else figures it out, please post your solution.

Clearly I'm passing a pointer rather than an actual variable... Is there an easy way to make a seperate double array (no shared pointers) without having to do a double for loop? Thanks, Dan

    I want to use the exclusive key to open context menu that are available in most of the new laptops and keyboards. This key is usually available between right ALT and CTRL key. I am not sure that it is always equivalent to "Shift + F10" ( or is it always equivalent to "Shift+F10" ?). My programs runs on Windows XP and earlier versions. Context menu should appear at mouse cursor position (if it's possible).

    In the boost::shared_ptr destructor, this is done: if(--*pn == 0) { boost::checked_delete(px); delete pn; } where pn is a pointer to the reference counter, which is typedefed as shared_ptr::count_type -> detail::atomic_count -> long I would have expected the long to be volatile long, given threaded usage and the non-atomic 0-check-and-deletion in the shared_ptr destructor above. Why isn't it volatile?
