    Hello, I'm looking for a library that could perform "easy" pattern matching, a kind of pattern that can be exposed via GUI to users. It should define a simple matching syntax like * matches any char and alike. In other words, I want to do glob (globbing) like sun's implemented logic http://openjdk.java.net/projects/nio/javadoc/java/nio/file/PathMatcher.html but without relation to the file system. Ideas?

  • Return statements for all functions

    How common is it for coding style guidelines to include a requirement that all functions include a return statement (including functions which return void)? To avoid being subjective or argumentative, I'd like answers which can name specific companies or open-source projects which have this requirement.   • VS2010 Database Compare. How do you create a *.DBSchema extensioned file?

    I'd like to take a snapshot of my database, make some changes and then use the db compare functionality to identify the changes, and who knows, maybe even generate scripts to make the change. I'd like to avoid having to backup the current db and restore it as a separate db just to have a "before" snapshot. I'm guessing I shouldn't have to. Obsviously, I'm clueless about db projects and am looking to be pointed in the right direction. ty!

  • CruiseControl.Net allowForceBuild per project?

    From reading the docs I can tell that allowForceBuild will turn off the force build button for the server. In my case I have 12 projects. Once is a weekend cleanup task. I want to remove the force build on this one project. Is there a way to turn off the button on a project level? Thanks. -

This line works in Ubuntu's terminal, but the Mac terminal seems to be far behind. Unfortunately, I copied this snippet from some site, so I'm not sure how it exactly works.     I've created a Sphinx document using sphinx-quickstart. Are there any good examples/tutorials about customizing the look? Specifically to modify the header and add a logo. Are there some projects with downloadable Sphinx docs? I would like to see how they've customized their look. update: Adding a logo is supported in the default setup, just not particularly well documented. Look in conf.py for the *_logo settings.`

    Hi, I've been using JPA for some time now and been in projects where we've used both Hibernate Annotations and Toplink Essentials. AFAIK the project leader chose Toplink because Netbeans had it integrated and seemed to be the easy thing to do. However when looking for help, most of the literature seemed to assume that you are using Hibernate as the JPA provider, so, the question is, is have you found any advantage, performance or otherwise for not using the de-facto standard for JPA, Hibernate?

  • Which bug in the Delphi IDE / VCL do you despise the most?

    I've been working in Delphi 7 for the last 6 years now and have learnt to merely submit to the instablity of the IDE. For example, there are particular projects I've inherited which, when working on, I cannot use the CTRL+SPACE dropdown symbol list in the Delphi editor without getting an Access Violation error, this would easily top my list but there are many more.   • Visual Studio Deployment Package - change the file structure the .zip creates?

    Everything works as expected but I would like to improve the directory structure that the .zip produces. When I create a deployment package I have it create in a custom directory which works fine but the .zip it creates is in the structure of: content/c_c/users/pcName/documents/VS2010/Projects/ProjectName/obj/release/package/packageTmp Only in the packageTmp directory do I get to the files I want! Is there a way for the created zip to not include all of those empty directories?

  • In a Visual Studio C++ project with /clr, are its dependencies also compiled to managed code?

    To be a bit more clear. If I have a Visual Studio C++ solution that has two projects, say a static library with CLR support turned off, and a second project with CLR support turned on that depends on this static library, does the static library get compiled as managed code? What about libraries that the CLR project uses that are external to this solution, do they also get compiled as managed code?
