• Replicate UISegmentedControl with UIButtons - iPhone

  Hi guys, I didnt like the style of UISegmentedControl, hence i tried to change the way it looked, but I couldnt attach images to its buttons. I just didnt change at all. Now i'm looking at how to replicate that function with 4 UIButtons. I've setup 4 UIButtons in interface builder, added different tag numbers to them. What i cannot accomplish is when a button is tapped, it should be "selected" and the other buttons should be Unselected. How can i connect all of them? And if there was a way to change the UISegmented control looks, i would need all this effort. thanks for the help guys this is for iPhone OS

  I read some struts2 variable in javascript as follows: <javascript type="text/javascript"> var data='<s:property value="simulationInfos"/>'; <javascript> If my simulationInfos contains single quote ', I get the error : unexpected identifier. therefore, I tried to escape the quote as follows: var data='<s:property value="simInfos" escapeJavaScript="true"/>'; and var data='<s:property value="simInfos" escapeHTML="true"/>'; I get the error: Attribute escapeJavaScript (or escapeHTML) invalid for tag property according to TLD. Any Idea?

• Wordpress Video Portal

  Hi out there, my challenge is to built a video portal, based on wordpress (blog already started). so in the backend there must be a option to add, tag, descripe videos and in frontend the videos must have a comment function, must be searchable and so on. wordpress gives already a large amout of functionallity and i want to use this, comments for example, but also categorisation and tagging. what is the best practise to built such a "plugin" ? where to start? what to use? custom tables and built everything by myself or can i use the blog functionallity to advantage? hopefully everything is clear, comment if not ;)

• Tomcat Exception-Type Ignoring Specific Exception for More General

  For one type of exception, IOException, I want to display one page. For all other exceptions I have a default error page. In my web.xml I have things setup like this: java.io.IOException /queryException.jsp java.lang.Exception /error.jsp The problem is the error.jsp is the only page that ever shows, even if an IOException is thrown. The order the tags appear in doesn't matter; if I remove the java.lang.Exception tag though, I can get queryException to show for IOExceptions. What is the solution here? How can I keep a general error page for all exceptions EXCEPT for those with specific pages?

  I have created a java applet (.class file) and made a .jar with it and digitally signed the .jar file. Now I need to run the .jar as an applet in firefox. What do I put in the html code to run the .jar file as an applet? I tried and it doesn't work, it tries to get a .class file, how do I load and run my applet as a .jar file using the applet tag in Internet Explorer and Firefox? I searched on the internet and could not find an answer.

  Hey there, I'm working on some BBcode for my website. I've managed to get most of the codes working perfectly, however the [QUOTE] tag is giving me some grief. When I get something like this: [QUOTE=1] [QUOTE=2] This is a quote from someone else [/QUOTE] This is someone else quoting someone else [/QUOTE] It will return: > 1 said: [QUOTE=2]This is a quote from > someone else This is someone else quoting someone else[/QUOTE] So what is happening is the [/quote] from the nested quote is closing the quote block. The Regex I am using is: "[quote=(.*?)\](.*?)\[/quote\]'is" How can I make it so nested Quotes will appear properly? Thank you.

• JQuery Passing Variable From href to load()

  I am trying to pass an href id to load() in JQuery, I can see from the alert the returned id# 960, so I know the id value is getting past I just don't know how to append the load url, well the $("#refreshme_"+add_id) is the important part, I use that to refresh the unique div id in the page assigned by the database pull, so it would be looking for id="refreshme_960". My simple example that is obviously not working. I want to refresh the db select part of the page showing the new list of cars. • Render tooltip on disabled HTML Button.

  I have a HTML button. I have tried to render a tooltip on it based on the "title" attribute of the button and it doesn't render. Mainly because it's disabled. I then tried wrapping the button in a span and setting the "title" attribute of the span. Hovering over the button that is wrapped in the span still has no effect. The tooltip will render on any other part of the span that is not part of the button tag. Like if i put some text in the span as well as the button, hovering over the text produces the tooltip, but if you hover over the button it will not render. So: how can I display a tooltip for a disabled button?

  I've been testing Hudson for a few days now and for PHP projects it seems ok; What I need though is a system that will allow me to publish an SVN tag to an FTP folder without adding a pile of rubbish on the end; hudson gets overexcited and adds a pile of folders to the export. Are their any other decent systems; it needs to be simple to use as this will eventually fall under the control of 'admins' in order to meet sox compliance (aka the man with the gun cant pull the trigger). Basic Requirements: Must be free and downloadable to a server (FTP's internal only here) Needs to be able to interact with SVN Needs to be able to publish to FTP Needs matrix login permissions (or AD if its something that can go on IIS) Needs to be auditable (logging) Tell me if im not being clear enough here; thanks. I'm aware of efforts to port source code from using Swing calls to GWT calls, but what I'm after is a pure behind the scenes port where a Swing application would compile under GWT without any source code modifications. Is that theoretically possible? Why? Why not?

  Hi Does anyone know how to integrate several checkout badges into an order form? It might sound obvious to all (or most) but within the html wouldn't the form tag have an action to just one of the online merchants and not all? For example? I would like to have a basic order form which collects a users name, email, uploaded files, project details, and a few packages to choose from. Once they have selected the package most appropriate to them? They would be given a total cost and asked to pay via Paypal, Google Checkout OR Moneybookers. Can anyone help me out on this?   Does anybody know where I can find documentation on how to write annotation schemas for Callisto? I'm looking to write something a little more complicated than I can generate from a DTD -- that only gives me the ability to tag different kinds of text mentions. I'm looking to create a schema that represents a single type of relationship between five or six different kinds of textual mentions (and some of these types of mentions have attributes that I need to assign values to), and possibly having a second type of relationship between the first two instances of the first type of relationship. (Alternatively, does anybody know of any software that would be better for this kind of schema? I've been looking at WordFreak, but it's a little clumsy, and it doesn't support attributes on its textual mentions.)

  I have an XML document which contains nodes like following:- <a class="custom">test</a> <a class="xyz"></a> I was tryng to get the nodes for which class is NOT "Custom" and I wrote an expression like following:- XmlNodeList nodeList = document.SelectNodes("//*[self::A[@class!='custom'] or self::a[@class!='custom']]"); Now, I want to get IMG tags as well and I want to add the following experession as well to the above expression:- //*[self::IMG or self::img] ...so that I get all the IMG nodes as well and any tag other than having "custom" as value in the class attribute. Any help will be appreciated. EDIT :- I tried the following and this is an invalid syntax as this returns a boolean and not any nodelist:- XmlNodeList nodeList = document.SelectNodes("//*[self::A[@class!='custom'] or self::a[@class!='custom']] && [self::IMG or self::img]");

  I have a fairly large CSS file developed by my web designer. There are, of course, plenty of IDs, classes and tag properties assigned therein. Are there any tools to automatically generate HTML based on a CSS source file? For example: #basicInfoHead{ background:url(../images/leftHeaders.jpg) no-repeat; margin-left: 0px; width:185px; height:28px; } #basicInfoHead span{ float: left; } Would generate <div id=basicInfoHead><span>#basicInfoHead span</span></div> Etc etc. From there, I could preview the generated code in my browser, and see what each of the individual (primarily text) styles would look like.   Hello, I am getting an error while trying to upload images on an Ubuntu machine that's running Rails 2.3.4, Ruby 1.8.6 using attachment_fu with image science. FreeImage exception for type ???: IPTC: Invalid key 'Tag 0x025C' The error seems to point to this line in the image_science_processor in the attachment_fu plugin: def with_image(file, &block) ::ImageScience.with_image file, &block end My initial thoughts are that it has something to do with meta tags and the images and maybe free image. I don't actually see this error on my dev machine - Mac Snow Leopard, Rails 2.3.5, Ruby 1.8.7. Before I start messing versions on the production boxes, has anyone else encountered this issue and have an idea to fix it? THANKS!!!!

• How do I persist form data across an "access denied" page in Drupal?

  We're building a small sub-site that, on the front page, has a one input box form that users can submit. From there, they're taken to a page with a few more associated form fields (add more details, tag it, etc.) with the first main form field already filled in. This works splendidly, thus far. The problem comes for users that are not logged in. When they submit that first form, they're taken to a (LoginToboggan based) login page that allows them to login. After they login, they redirect to the second form page, but the first main form field isn't filled in -- in other words, the form data didn't persist. How can we store that data and have it persist across the access denied page?

  Hello all, Can anyone explain why this query returns an empty result. SELECT * FROM (`bookmarks`) JOIN `tags` ON `tags`.`bookmark_id` = `bookmarks`.`id` WHERE `tag` = 'clean' AND `tag` = 'simple' In my bookmarks table, I have a bookmark with an id of 70 and in my tags table i have two tags 'clean' and 'simple' both that have the column bookmark_id as 70. I would of thought a result would have been returned? How can I remedy this so that I have the bookmark returned when it has a tag of 'clean' and 'simple'? • actionscript flex, how to send browser width to the swf itself

  I'm working with flex, but actionscript ideas are just as good. The flex <s:Application> tag has height="100%" width="100%" so the swf fits the browser as the browser gets resized. My problem is that I have a <s:Label> that I need to position based on the real/current size of the browser. <s:Application height="100%" width="100%"> ..... <s:Label text="hello" x="?" y=">" /> </s:Application> I heard it's possible to use Application.application.width; but I get a compile error, that it doesn't know what that is. Any ideas how to do this. I'm trying to get the current size of the swf in the browser, as the browser resizes.

Like reading the "rel" attribute and outputting the correct link? How do i do this in haml/rails?
