  • Can I pass a querystring that translates to a List<int> on the server?

    Hi all, I'm writing a Google Maps app that requests data from the server using jQuery's $.ajax() to send the request to my MVC Contoller. This control expects a List for the category types. What should the querystring look like for this? I've tried http://localhost:9090/mapamenities?amenityTypes=1,5 http://localhost:9090/mapamenities?amenityTypes=[1,5] with no luck. The SearchRquest attribute I'm trying to bind to is public List AmenityTypes { get; set; } Thanks Denis

  • How can I sort just part of a list using vb .net?

    In VB .Net, the Generics Lists have a sort function that accepts IComparer or Comparison. I'd like to sort just part of list. Hopefully I can specify the start index, count of elements to sort, and a lambda function. It looks like you can only use lambda functions to do this if you're sorting the entire list. Is that right or did I miss something?

My line of code is: [peoplePicker pushViewController:myDetail transition:6]; after selecting a contact. Where can I find a list of transitions, and why does "6" work correctly? Also I get a warning with this code saying it may not respond to transition, even though it produces the transition correctly. What is the proper way to do these animations? Thanks,

    Given the following function: def foo(a, b, c): pass How would one obtain a list/tuple/dict/etc of the arguments passed in, without having to build the structure myself? Specifically, I'm looking for Python's version of JavaScript's arguments keyword or PHP's func_get_args() method. What I'm not looking for is a solution using *args or **kwargs; I need to specify the argument names in the function definition (to ensure they're being passed in) but within the function I want to work with them in a list- or dict-style structure.

The idea is that the user can define an arbitrary list of source paths and/or library (swc) paths into an Ant properties file and the build file takes these values and evaluates them for use in the mxmlc task. Just wondering if there are any tricks (maybe utilizing filtering/string replacing) to get this working?

    I have an owner-drawn list control in my Windows program. I use CListCtrl::GetBkColor to get the background color, and for a selected item I use GetSysColor(COLOR_HIGHLIGHT). This matches what Windows uses for non owner drawn list controls, except for the case where the control doesn't have focus - then the background is replaced with gray. Does Windows use one of the GetSysColor constants for the selected but unfocused background? If so, which one?

    I have a list called cols with column names in it: cols <- c('Column1','Column2','Column3') I'd like to reproduce this command, but with a call to the list: data.frame(Column1=rnorm(10)) Here's what happens when I try it: > data.frame(cols[1]=rnorm(10)) Error: unexpected '=' in "data.frame(I(cols[1])=" The same thing happens if I wrap cols[1] in I() or eval(). How can I feed that item from the vector into the data.frame() command?

    I've got a handful of products, any, all, or none of which may be associated with a specific submission. All 7 products are subclasses of the class Product. I need to store all the products associated with a submission, and then retrieve them and their field data on my presentation layer. I've been using a List, and List, but when I use the OfType, I throw an error saying that I can't implicitly convert systems.generic.IEnumerable to type 'Product'. I've tried to cast, but to no avail. When I use prodlist.OfType<EPL>(); there are no errors, but when I try and store that in an instance of EPL "tempEpl", I get the aforementioned cast-related error. What gives? Code below.   • What is the most efficient procedure for implementing a sortable ajax list on the backend?

    The most common method is to assign a sequential order field for each item in the list and do an update that maintains the sequence with every ajax sort operation. Unfortunately, this requires an update to each item of the list every time someone sorts. This is fine for small lists, but what's the best way to implement sorting for larger lists that are constantly updated? I am looking for something that minimizes DB IO.

  • Can sharepoint search crawl items in a hidden list?

    I have had mixed results with this. If i have an item in a hidden list, search does not seem to crawl it. But If i make it visible, and crawl it will get indexed. and if I hide it again and update it it will get crawled again! Does anyone know if search is supposed to be able to search items in a hidden list or not? thanks
