  • Easy way to build an in-app demo like they do in Convertbot?

    - by mystify
I want to make a little in-app demo like Tapbots does in Convertbot. Maybe there is a better solution than mine? make everything programmatically controlable write a huge class with hundreds of performSelector:withObject:afterDelay: calls to control the whole app for the demo The demo actually only does two things: Simulate touches on controls (i.e. programmatically pressing buttons) Show text message bubbles when appropriate to explain what is going on How would you do it?

  • SAN for Medium Business - Where to start? [closed]

    - by Henson
I've always run Linux on my home computers, and done PC repair for years, but this is my first experience with needing to buy a SAN. I thought I was knowledgeable, but I feel a bit lost. I need to be able to support 25 VMs, which are currently managed through vSphere. The company I'm at is growing quickly though, so I'd like to plan for the future. Ideally, I want a solution that I can just tack arrays onto and manage as one large, iSCSI drive. Suggestions? Good resources? If I can find something that appears to software as one large drive, am I better off going with a solution like FreeNAS or Starwind, or an all-in-one proprietary solution like NetApp? Cost, is (of course, and always I'm sure) an issue.

So I was wondering how they work. To explain what I mean by a "function caller" a good example of what I mean would be glutTimerFunc, it is able to take in a function as a parameter and call it even with it not knowing it is declared. How is it doing this?

  • Extracting data from a text file to use in a python script?

    - by Rob
Basically, I have a file like this: Url/Host: www.example.com Login: user Password: password How can I use RegEx to separate the details to place them into variables? Sorry if this is a terrible question, I can just never grasp RegEx. So another question would be, can you provide the RegEx, but kind of explain what each part of it is for?
