  Been try to learn JSF, and sometimes I see the URL is .jsf and sometimes is .xhtml. Can sometimes fill my knowledge, please? When I create a JSF using Facelet, the file extension is .xhtml, so where does .jsf URL extension come from?

For example if the fax number is 90081000, can there be an extension for 1001, 1002 etc etc. Are we able to create these extension from within the MS Fax software and then route the different extensions to different email addresses?   Fatal error: Call to a member function getArea() on a non-object in {directory}/includes/src/Mage_Core_Model_App_Area.php on line 155 Cropped up when I installed an extension that I wrote on a clean install of Magento. When ported to the dev server it took it down and I cant seem to find where it has originated. Disabling the extension changes nothing. Along with clearing the cache and all the regular Magento hiccups. I've ensured that file permissions are correct to the best of my knowledge.

• PHP 6 not backward compatible

  From what I read, PHP 6 will break a lot of php scripts. I understand the reasons why it may break but why don't they just keep the PHP 5 and simply call PHP 6 as a different language based on PHP syntax? Like for example, why not just call php 6 scripts with an extension, "p6"- why are they trying so hard to make it backward compatible for old scripts when the extension can be used to call a specific interpreter?

Thing is I think I remember reading about it somewhere but dont know if such a thing exists.   A few times I've run into situations where I'd like to be able to include a file using PHP, and depending on the included filetype, output the appropriate headers. In the past I've just done this manually by switch/casing the extension type with the appropriate content-type headers. However what I'm wondering now is if there's a function like get_header($filename) or maybe get_contenttype($extension) For example if I wanted to route all requests for media through a php file, I could use that function to output the correct headers.

• Why is my Quicktime plugin transport bar black?

  For some reason when watching quicktime moves in firefox the transport bar is completely black. I can still use it to fast forward and rewind but I can't actually see any of the buttons. Any clue how to fix this? I've updated to the latest version of quicktime but it didn't help. I've also verified that this behavior is the same in both firefox and chrome.

  So, I'm kind of falling in love with Safari 4 (sorry, Firefox). However, I'm the type who likes my browser cache. Doing a little bit of Googling, it seems Safari does have an offline mode like Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Opera (where you can view cached web pages offline), but I haven't found any way to activate it and just navigating to web pages with no net connection seems not to do it either. So, does Safari even really have an offline mode, and if so, how does one use it?

  On Firefox, whenever a word is incorrect in a text field, it is underlined in red. Chrome does the same but the difference is that it underlines in red only when I move the caret over the word. So if I want to spell check the whole text field, I have to move the caret from the beginning to the end of the text field. Is it possible to make Chrome works more like Firefox and spell check the entire text field automatically?

• Surfing the internet while downloading becomes painful

  When I try to surf the internet while downloading files (http based, torrent etc.), it becomes painful to open web pages since download traffic is mostly allocated for downloads. Is there a program that can manage this process so that when I surf the weight will be given to internet browser, and when the browser is idle, the weight will be on the download side? I'm using Firefox 3.6.2 on Win7, so any good Firefox addons or Windows based freewares are acceptable.

  I currently use Google Bookmarks via the Google toolbar plug-in for Firefox. I find this extremely useful as it allows me to have roaming bookmarks rather than having to maintain bookmarks on individual machines and also restore them when rebuilding a machine. Is there currently any way to use Google Bookmarks in Chrome? This is the one thing I'm waiting for that is preventing me from switching from Firefox to Chrome.

• Cause for bad font rendering in Chrome?

  I notice that the text on some web pages look bad when viewed in Chrome (16.0.912.77 m) while OK with Firefox (10.0). FWIW, I'm using the Windows versions of those applications, with default settings. As an (ironic) example, www.google.com/webfonts.   After installation of nginx webserver, i run my website in firefox. It works good in firefox, i can see my website template is looks good, but in internet explorer it is not working properly, i can't see my webpage has text and images and every content in bad style. Like images are not loading, may be css is not working. Please help me to sort out this problem. Before this i was running my website on apache with different ip address and moved to nginx.
