  • Rails routes question. Always find by name and remove /class_name/ from route

    I have a Category model and a Product model. Category has_many products and Product belongs_to Category I want my routes to be like this: /:category_type/:category_name/ opens Product#index /:category_type/ opens Category#show / opens Category#index Is there a way to achieve that with resources? Anyone got this to work? NB: The tests runs fine using Nose --with-gae. But I want the PyDev integration with hyperlinking of resources and such.

    Are dynamic resources truly dynamic? If I define a DynamicResource, I realise that an expression is created (where?) that is not translated into a resource until runtime, however, What I do not understans is whether this dynamicresouce, once built, is now "Static" For instance, if I create a context menu via a dynamicresource, are the menuitems which are created at runtime on access then static, even if they are bound? If so, how can i create a dynamic context menu in XAML?

    Is there a limit to the maximum number of concurrent users connected to SQL Server 2008? I am guessing computer resources determine that limit (if it exists), but I am also wondering if there is a theoretical limit. I have tried googling the answer, but all the information I have found is based upon earlier versions of SQL Server. If there is a limit, does it apply to just a database or a SQL Server instance?

    I have map.resources :posts and I want to be able to serve post bodies in markdown format. So I set up my respond_to block: respond_to do |format| format.markdown { render :text => @post.body.to_s } end But when I try to access /posts/1234.markdown, I get this error: NameError (uninitialized constant Mime::MARKDOWN): app/controllers/posts_controller.rb:96:in `show' app/controllers/posts_controller.rb:79:in `show' How do I add markdown as an acceptable format? Where can I see the list of acceptable formats?

    Hi, I am having a problem using two way binding with a listpicker. I am able to set the value using c# but not in the SelectedItem=".." in xaml. The binding is returning the correct value (and is a value in the listpicker) as i have texted it by assigning the text to a textblock.     I'm porting to Android. My existing project has a ton of resource files that I'm porting into my Android project. I have them all in /res/raw/, and I would like to access those resources in my native library with functions such as fopen() and such. Can this be done, or do I have to go through JNI for this as well? I would really prefer not to, for ease of porting and possible speed and memory reasons.

  • Maven assembly plugin and adding system dependencies to the classpath

    Hi, I have some dependencies which I am providing myself. The jars are in the resources directory. In my pom they are scoped as system and I include the path to them. However, when I jar things up using the assembly plugin and use <addClasspath>true</addClasspath> It doesn't add the path of the system jars. How can I get them to be included automatically? Thanks

  • Linux RFID reader HID Device not matching driver

    Hello, I got a RFID reader (GigaTek PCR330A-00) that is meant to be recognized under linux/windows as a (Human Interface Device) keyboard/USB. I hate to say this but it is working as a charm under Win7 but not "really" under Linux. Under Debian-like distros (x/k/Ubuntu, Debian,..), or Gentoo, or... I just can't have the device working at all: the device scan well (it has its USB 5V, so it is happy/beeping/blinking) something happened in the dmesg, but no immediate screen display of the RFID Tag code as expected (and seen under win7) Support is claiming it is ok under RHEL or SLED "enterprises" distros... and I must admit I saw it working under a RHEL4... I tried stealing the driver but did not succeed having my reader working... My question is thus double: 1./ How can I hack the kernel to add support to my device (simply register PID/VID?) ? 2./ What is different at all in a "enterprise" proprietary distro? how can I re-use it?
