  • How to keep a local value from being set when a binding fails (so inherited values will propagate)

    Consider the following scenario: I want to bind the TextElement.FontWeight property to an xml attribute. The xml looks somewhat like this and has arbitrary depth. <text font-weight="bold"> bold text here <inlinetext>more bold text</inlinetext> even more bold text </text> I use hierarchical templating to display the text, no problem there, but having a Setter in the template style like: <Setter Property="TextElement.FontWeight" Value="{Binding XPath=@font-weight}"/> sets the fontweight correctly on the first level, but overwrites the second level with null (as the binding can't find the xpath) which reverts to Fontweight normal. I tried all sorts of things here but nothing quite seems to work. e.g. i used a converter to return UnsetValue, which didn't work. I need to somehow extract just the 'x' value of velocity, and then use this to call-send a message to the following method signature -(void) adjustTimer:(NSTimeInterval*)newInterval How do I obtain just the 'x' value of a CGPoint? Do I then need to convert or cast this result before calling my adjustTimer method?

    I need to extract all records which have a field which does NOT have a unique value. I can't figure out an elegant way to do it - using annotation or some other way. I see a "value_annotate" method to the object manager but it's unclear if it's at all related. Currently I'm using the inelegant way of simple looping through all values and doing a get on the value, and if there's an exception it means it's not unique.. Thanks

The problem I'm struggling with is how to add a property to one of my subclasses that's both a value type for which I have an IUserType implemented and also mapped via an association: class OtherReport : BasicReport { public SpecialValue V { get; set; } } class SpecialValueUserType : IUserType { ... } What I'd like to do is: <joined-subclass name="OtherReport" table="otherReports" extends="BasicReport"> <key column="id"/> <join table="rptValues" fetch="join"> <key column="rptId"/> <property name="V" column="value" type="SpecialValueUserType"/> </join> </joined-subclass> This accurately reflects the intent, and the pre-existing database schema I'm tied to: the SpecialValue instance is a property of the OtherReport, but is stored in a separate table ("rptValues"). Unfortunately, it seems as though I can't do this, because <join> elements can't be used in <joined-subclass> mappings. <one-to-one> would require creating a class mapping for SpecialValue, which doesn't make any sense given that SpecialValue is just a meaningful scalar. So what can I do? Do I have any options?     Hi, I have a submit button in a form and i use a css class which sets a background image as the submit button. I need to give a value to this submit button, but i dont want it to be displayed to the user. If i set the css color property to transparent it works fine in my firefox 3.6. But the value gets displayed in ie 6 and 7. How can i solve this problem?
