  • Scrolling two views together

    I currently have one Scrollview which contains a table layout and one list in my activity. Now my problem is that I wanted to move both of them(Scrollview and list) together and with proper synchronization... So if scrollview is being scrolled then listview should also scroll with the same distance, and vice versa... Thanks in advance.. Abhishek

  • Trying to populate ListView in Android using objects from Parse

    I am pretty darned new to android, and VERY new to Parse. I have created a class, StudentInformation, that includes columns for name, address, phone, etc. I would like to create a listview that contains the names of all students added to the class. How do I do this? I have got it to the point that I can Toast out the objectIDs of all of my entries, but can't figure out how to extract and add just the names to the ListView.     On the iPhone, if an option is too long for the area, instead of wrappeing you get a "..." at the end of the "drop down" and the user will know there is more text than is shown. I want to recreate this with android but am new to it so cant see how. I want the heights of "rows" in my layout to be uniform hence not able to wrap the text. Thanks in advance.

How would I get a list of States with the number of distinct SSN's in each state? What I am looking to do is have clickable links on the pages so that I can jump to a page further in the "book" or even to another site.   • NavigationBar from UINavigationController not positioned correctly

    So, my iPad program has a pseudo-split view controller (one that I implemented, not base SDK one), and was working correctly a while ago. It has the basic layout (UINavController for master, content view controller for detail on right), but I have it so the master view doesn't disappear when rotated into portrait view. Recently, I added in a UITabBarController to contain the entire split view, which has made the navigation bar go wonky, while all the other views are positioned fine. In addition, the navigation bar only gets mispositioned when the program starts up while the iPad is in landscape, or upside-down portrait. If it starts out in portrait, everything is fine.     I have a document type which has multiple presentations. Say I want to display the document in an RCP editor with a customizable subset of those presentations, in a layout chosen by the user. One option that has come up is docking-like behavior for the panels inside an individual editor, with drag-and-drop, resizing, closing, maybe rollover and floating. Clearly this would need usability testing, but my question here is of feasibility. Are there any existing libraries or e4 plans to support behavior like this?

I want to have one abstract class which handles the basic layout and things like titles of the control, then have a set of derived ones which render child controls at a specific point. I forsee three distincts methods: renderOpeningHtml handled by the abstract class, renderCustomControls as done by the derived class, and renderClosingHtml by the abstract class again, except I can't figure the life cycle of a CompositeControl and what methods to use when.

    Hi, I am trying to create a matrix of buttons in Interface Builder 3.2.1 but can not find anyway to do it. I read the question and answer posted here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1771835/how-to-create-a-nsmatrix-of-nsimagecell-in-interface-builder-in-10-6 But following Layout Embed Objects In, as suggested, I see only View and Scroll View as options, not Matrix.     are there any alternatives to Xpath ? need to locate and extract specific element's texts for web scraping project. xpath seem pretty limited against layout changes on web pages. slight shuffle, and xpath no longer works. also different browsers have different Xpaths as i discovered. Firefox automatically adds tbody after table, while IE doesn't and so on.

  • Which GUI toolkit would you use for a touchscreen interface?

    The only experience I have so far with a touchscreen interface was one where everything was custom drawn, and I get the feeling it's not the most efficient way of doing it (even the most basic layout change is hell to make). I know plenty of GUI toolkits intended at keyboard & mouse interfaces, but can you advise something suited for touchscreens? Target platform is Windows, but cross-platform would be nice.

    Hi, Based on the user requirements, he wants to use our android application via pin code access like login whenever he starts to use this application. In Android or any mobile, most of the applications start again the last using layout. so which event should i call this login alertdialog to access each time users start to use it?
