  Hi, I'm using org.springframework.web.servlet.DispatcherServlet and org.springframework.ws.transport.http.MessageDispatcherServlet In the same app but each is loading own application contexts, I need to load all beans in a single application context. The application consists of typical layers webappdao etc What I have tried is to use one single spring-root-context.xml by setting it in the contextConfigLocation. But didn't help, this has been an issue for me for a long time an I would appreciate any help with this. Any online references would be a great help. Regards Ramo

• can you deploy cruise control .net as a web service/web app?

  I'm investigating the possibility of utilizing my web host as a cruise control.net build server. If I have access to MsBuild or can deploy msBuild and run it, it would be great. I can not however find any resources that would tell me if cruise control supports being run as a web service or web app. Is this type of deployment possible? If not could the UI (it's web-based I believe) control section sit on the web server and send requests to the actual build server?

  I'm making a simple image for the web which is a gradient with some text on in Photoshop CS4. The text doesn't seem to be of a great quality. If you look at the logo of stackoverflow you can see that its pretty accurate. Mine don't seem to render properly round the edges. Anyone know how to get the best quality? Photoshop CS4. Thanks.

  I want to make many inserts in a single SQL statement, pretty much like INSERT INTO xxx SELECT field FROM zzz But with values I don't have in a table, and are just a list of literals. Normal way would be executing one SQL query for each value, but if there exists a standard SQL statement, or MySQL-specific, it would be great.

• Is it possible to plot a single density over a discrete variable?

  The x-axis is time broken up into time intervals. There is an interval column in the data frame that specifies the time for each row. Plotting a histogram or line using geom_histogram and geom_freqpoly works great, but I'd like to use geom_density to get a filled area. Perhaps there is a better way to achieve this. Right now, if I use geom_density, curves are created for each discrete factor level instead of smoothing over all of them.

  Hi, I want to know if there is any open source testing tool for cloud computing. We have built a cloud framework with Xen, Eucalyptus, Hadoop, HBase as different layers. I am not looking at testing each of these tools separately, but i want to test them from the perspective of fitting into a cloud environment (for example scalability of xen hypervisor to handle multiple VMs).   I have a DataReader and a StringBuilder (C#.NET) used in the following way; while (reader.Read()) { sb.AppendFormat("{0},{1},{2},",reader["Col1"], reader["Col2"], reader["Col3"]); } Which works great for my use, but when a row is null I need it to return "null", instead of just "". What would be a good way of accomplishing that? Suggestions are very appreciated

• Call into a website and use php to recognize caller ID

  I have this idea where I want to allow someone to call a phone number from their cell phone, and then a website would display their caller ID. I want to do this in php, but I'm really not sure how. I'm pretty good with PHP and I'm assuming you need some kind of GSM modem attached to the web server to accept the incoming phone calls, but that's really as far as I can get. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great. Thanks!
