  I have a Linux daemon that forks a few children and monitors them for crashes (restarting as needed). It will be great if the parent could monitor the memory usage of child processes - to detect memory leaks and restart child processes when the go beyond a certain size. How can I do this?

• How can I pin a div in my sidebar column to the bottom?

  I have a simple two column layout with a footer at the bottom. When the content in the sidebar is taller than the content in the main column, everything looks great. But when the height of the main column is greater than the sidebar, I need the sidebar to grow to the same height as the main column and for the last <div> in the sidebar to be pinned to the very bottom. I love the possibility to return a response, and still being able to do further operations. e.g. def view(request): do_something() return HttpResponse() do_more_stuff() #not possible!!! Maybe Django already offers a way to perform operations after returning a request, if that is the case that would be great. Help would be very much appreciated! =D

• possible to auto zoom out if user's resolution < x ?

  my site is aimed purely at the laptop market (dont ask why or argue!), all my users (or 95%+) we on a screen width of 1200+, netbooks are now taking off, with a resolution of 1024 wide. my site still looks great on a netbook if you zoom out once (ctrl-minus), but i don't want to rely on users knowing about ctrl-minus. what are my options besides redesign? I'm keen not to have zoom buttons on my page. is there a javascript zoomer outer?!!!

  I was wondering if Apple allowed you to access the MPMediaItem's raw data as an NSData object. If you can, thats great and I would like to know how. If you cannot, then Apple is way too over-protective, and my app that i started is utterly useless. Also if you cannot, Is there any hacky workarounds? • Facebook Connect for iPhone persistant login

  Hi, I have implemented Facebook Connect in my iPhone project and it is working great. The only problem I have is that every time the user closes the app, the next time they load it they have to re-enter their username and password to login even if the 'keep me logged in' box is checked. My question is is there a way to save the user's session so next time the app is launched they are automatically logged into Facebook Connect without any prompts? Thanks!

  Does anyone know what approach one can take to automatically generate Java source code, from for example an xml or json file, in eclipse? One great example of what I am thinking of doing is what Google Android sdk does: they have an R class generated automatically from the resources.
