  Hi all, Two rows in the my database have the following data: brand | product | style ================================================= Doc Martens | Doc Martens 1460 Boots | NULL NewBalance | New Balance WR1062 SG Width | NULL Mininum word length is set to 3, and a FULLTEXT index is created across all the three columns above. When I run a search for IS BOOLEAN matches for +doc in the index, I get the first row returned as a result. When I search for +new, I get no results. Can someone explain why? Thanks.

  It appears that WAS will call ServiceHostFactory.CreateHost() once per each service implementation. How does WAS manage the lifetime of the ServiceHost/ServiceHostFactory? We have a custom factory/host that is occasionally being re-initialized. I'm wondering if WAS is recycling itself or it has some other reason to re-create the ServiceHostFactory/ServiceHost. I'm guessing the ServiceHostFactory gets fired up for the AppDomain and is a singleton, can someone confirm?

  Can anyone point me in the right direction on how I would minimize ambient noise while recording someone speaking using the iPhone SDK Core Audio? I'm guessing a band-pass filter that eliminates any frequencies above and below the human vocal range might work. I have no idea how I would implement band filters on audio in the SDK though. The optimum solution would be one that eliminates the noise from the stream before it is written to memory/disk. Some sample code would be appreciated.

  Hi, I'm using fgets with stdin to read in some data, with the max length i read in being 25. With one of the tests I'm running on this code, there are a few hundred spaces after the data that I want - which causes the program to fail.   On win32, using winapi, is there anyway to know which comports (from com0 upwards) actually exist as devices? At the moment I am just attemping to open them all (0 to 9), but I can't figure out the difference of failure between one not existing, and one not simply being available for use because someone else is using it. Both situations seem to return the same last error, so I was wondering if I could list all the comports available on the system.
