• Gamma Distribution in Boost

  Hello, I'm trying to use the Gamma distribution from boost::math but it looks like it isn't possible to use it with boost::variate_generator. Could someone confirm that? Or is there a way to use it. I discovered that there is a boost::gamma_distribution undocumented that could probably be used too but it only allows to choose the alpha parameter from the distribution and not the beta. Thanks!

  I have a longer running multi-step process using BackgroundWorker and C#. I need to be sure that each step is completed successfully before moving on to the next step. I have seen many references to letting the BackgroundWorker catch errors and canceling from clicking on a Cancel button, but I want to check for an error myself and then gracefully end the process. Do I treat it just like someone clicked the cancel button, or is there another way?

  I have inadvertently svn-deleted a file with svn del --targets del.txt. Now, I'd like to recover that file with svn cat myPreciousFile.txt@4130 > myPreciousFile.txt, but svn gives me a warning that myPreciousFile.txt is not under version control. A svn cat -r 4130 myPreciousFile.txt > myPreciousFile.txt didn't work, either. Can someone please tell me how I'd go about recovering this file again?

  I have two domain names pointing to the same ip, I am currently not using virtual host in my apache configuration. I simply use /var/www/html/ as root of the app. do I need to buy 2 godaddy certificates, one for each domain? It seems that godaddy certificate is tied to a domain, not ip, can someone clarify?

While I can find examples of attoparsec parsing HTTP, which is essentially text based, I cannot find an example parsing actual binary, for example, a TCP packet, or image file, or mp3.   Is there a way to cache widgets. For example if you place your widgets on high volume websites then each time when someone access that site, a call will be made to your server to get the widget code. This way my server can get too much overloaded just to display the widget . Can I cache the widget HTML code and place it on some server like Akamai. Any suggestions or tips highly appreciated.   i have urls like http://mysite.com/index.php?p=resources http://mysite.com/index.php?p=resources&s=view&id=938 but i want urls like http://mysite.com/resources http://mysite.com/resources/view/938 instead of making hundreds of rewrite rules i wonder if it would be possible to just have one? Ive head this is possible by "getting the uri and splitting it into parts" and then just add a rewrite rule for index.php but how? could someone give an example or link a tutorial
