• Spring Form: Submitting extra parameter on submit buttons

  Hi, I am working on a form with a bunch of selection criteria that will generate a report when the form is submitted. I also have a number of different reports that can be generated form this same criteria, and want the type of report to be selectable by using a tab system where each tab clicked on submits the form and generates the correct report. I was to do this by passing an extra parameter into the form to switch onto the right form type I am new to Spring, and from the guidance of an elder was told to use an input button for each tab with the following approximate syntax: <input type="submit" name="${form.selectionValues.tabSelection}" value="1" /> tabSelection form property of the SelectionValues object is not being set. I wasn't surprised ;) DIdn't think this would work. So I am wondering how can I can submit a post back from a button in Spring containing the form values plus an extra tabSelection parameter and value? How should I mark up this mechanism? Will I have to do anything to the form controller to register this extra parameter? The original markup I was using to build this page, was using HTML anchor tags instead of buttons for the tab links, which would be much better for the CSS, is there any way to trigger a full form submit using an anchor href? I know this will be a GET request instead of a POST, and not associated with the form.. so I dont expect this to work.. just trying to think of solutions! I would prefer to use the priginal markup, as the styles are there. Any help would be appreciated

• Appending Comment Number Anchors to Comments

  Hello, I am using a PHP file called comments.php that has a query that enters values into a mySQL table called "comment." As the query does this, it auto-generates a field called "commentid", which is set to auto_increment in MySQL. The file also contains a loop what echoes out all comments for a given submission. It all works fine and dandy, but I want to simultaneously pull this "commentid" and turn it into a hashtag / anchor that when appended to the end of the URL makes that comment at the top of the user's browser. Someone said on another question that in order to do this one thing I should do is create an anchor on the row where the comment is being printed out. How can I do this? • Adding a variable href attribute to a hyperlink using XSLT

  I need to create links using dynamic values for both the URL and the anchor text. I have column called URL, which contains URL's, i.e., http://stackoverflow.com, and I have a column called Title, which contains the text for the anchor, i.e., This Great Site. I figure maybe all I need to do is nest this tags, along with a little HTML to get my desired result: <a href="> <xsl:value-of select="@URL">"> <xsl:value-of select="@Title"/> </xsl:value-of> </a> In my head, this would render: <a href=" http://stackoverflow.com"> This Great Site </a> I know there's more to it, but I haven't been able to clearly understand what more I need. I think this issue has been addressed before, but not in a way I could understand it. I'd be more than happy to improve the question's title to help noobs like myself find this item, and hopefully an answer. Any help is greatly appreciated.

• How do I "rebind" the click event after unbind('click') ?

  I have an anchor tag <a class="next">next</a> made into a "button". Sometimes, this tag needs to be hidden if there is nothing new to show. All works fine if I simply hide the button with .hide() and re-display it with .show(). But I wanted to uses .fadeIn() and .fadeOut() instead. The problem I'm having is that if the user clicks on the button during the fadeOut animation, it can cause problems with the logic I have running the show. The solution I found was to unbind the click event from the button after the original click function begins, and then re-bind it after the animation is complete. $('a.next').click(function() { $(this).unbind('click'); ... // calls some functions, one of which fades out the a.next if needed ... $(this).bind('click'); } the last part of the above example does not work. The click event is not actually re-bound to the anchor. does anyone know the correct way to accomplish this? I'm a self-taught jquery guy, so some of the higher level things like unbind() and bind() are over my head, and the jquery documentation isn't really simple enough for me to understand.

• Why does JavaScript's getElementsByClassName provide an object that is NOT an array?

  I'm trying to get a list in JavaScript (not using jQuery) of all the elements on the page with a specific class name. I therefore employ the getElementsByClassName() function as follows: var expand_buttons = document.getElementsByClassName('expand'); console.log(expand_buttons, expand_buttons.length, expand_buttons[0]); Note that I have three anchor elements on my page with the class 'expand'. This console.log() outputs [] 0 undefined Next, for kicks, I threw expand_buttons into its own array as follows: var newArray = new Array(expand_buttons); console.log(newArray, newArray.length); This suddenly outputs [NodeList[3]] 1 and I can click through the nodelist and see the attributes of the three 'expand' anchor elements on the page. It's also worth noting that I was able to get my code working in a w3schools test page. It may also be of note that my use of document.getElementsByName actually does output (to the console) an array of elements, but when I ask for its length, it tells me 0. Similarly, if I try to access an array element using array_name[0] as normal, it outputs 'undefined', despite there clearly being an element inside of an array when I print the object to the console. Does anybody have any idea why this might be? I just want to loop through DOM elements, and I'm avoiding jQuery at the moment because I'm trying to practice coding with vanilla JavaScript. • Set JTabbedPane width to constant

  I'm implementing an UI in Java Swing. Therefore I use a JTabbedPane. The tabbedPane has no components at startup. When i add a tab to the tabbedpane, the width of the tabbedpane increases, when i remove the tab, the width resizes to the width at the startup. This should not happen. The tabbedpane is placed on a JPanel which has a gridbag layout.   Not sure if any of you have experience with this, but I am trying to include the anchor (?) in my domain name (using the appropriate punycode to allow it) but upon registering it I encounter the error that the symbol is not supported by the language I have chosen. Does anyone know what language would support this if I were to continue or even how I would go about doing so or if i can even do so. Thanks

  Afternoon, I can successful in my Geneious Pro software but when I am required to have FLEXnet installed for the licensing process. The prompt I am given is : To install FLEXnet on Linux, run the following command from your shell as root: /home/shep/Geneious/licensing_service/install_fnp.sh "/home/shep/Geneious/licensing_service/linux64/FNPLicensingService" When you have done this, you can activate your license in Geneious. • serious 404 problem, suggestions for hunting them all down

  I have a bit of a situation coming up. Due to a complete website structure redesign that is basically inevitable, I expect to have the following: Our sitemap of about 12,000 url's have about 90-95% of them change Out of those 12,000, I expect around 5000-6000 internal links to go dead in the process. No external links to this site yet, as it is still in development. Is there a tool out there that can do the following: I can feed the sitemap.xml after the restructuring have it parse each pages links for 404 errors on that page only report the pages/errors, preferably with just the url it is on, the url of the error, and the anchor text I have found a few tools, but all of them seem to be limited to 100 pages. Any advice for an intermediate webmaster to help this situation? 301 redirects are not viable in this situation.

  If i have lots of images appearing tumblr blogs, the sort of tumblogs with very little text just reams and reams of images for people to browse through (example - http://whereisthecool.com/). If my image is embeded in their site like this : <a href="http://mysite.com" target="blank"> <img src="cutecatblog.com/cat.jpg" alt="cute cat"/> </a> so the image was a link back to my site. Although there is no anchor text to speak of does google take into account the alt text of the image ? Would this still count in googles eyes as a backlink ?

  I have a website with dynamic content and different kind of pages. I have some pages that rarely change, and I have pages like blogs that change often. The blog pages also have links for sorting, for example sorting on date, asc, desc. On some of the pages I also have links to different tabbed content, and links that are just anchor links. Now when I use a xml sitemap generator then all the links are thrown into the site, and so I don't think all the links are really relevant. The blogposts up until now are also taken into the sitemap. Is this really necessary? I think the links to the blogposts can be indexed just fine. Is the best way to make a sitemap just to manually assign the main menu links to the sitemap, or is indexing everything really recommended?

  Hello to everyone this is my first poste here I hope that will be not fail start. At start I must say I make part 1 in Ray's Tutorial "How To Make A Game Like Fruit Ninja With Box2D and Cocos2D". But I wonder what when I want make more complex body with texture? Simple just add n b2FixtureDef to the same body. OK but what about texture? If I will take code from that tutorial it only fill last fixture. Probably it does not takes every b2Vec2 point. I was right, it did not. I use PolygonSprite and in method createWithWorld... another shapes. Uff.. Question So my question is, why texture coords are in such a mess up? It's my modify method or just wrong approach? Maybe I should remove duplicated from points array?

When running validation I encountered the following error: Bad value publisher for attribute rel on element link: Keyword publisher is not registered.   I have a large file of functions. Each of these functions is responsible for drawing a particular part of the application. My app has x and y parameters that I use in the setup function to move the whole app around in order to try different placements. So, naturally, I need to use these x and y values to anchor each function's component rendering so that everything moves in unison if the global x,y values ever change. My question is, is it bad practice/architecture to have these x,y values in the global namespace and having the each function directly access them like so? function renderFace() { var x = App.x; var y = App.y; // drawing here } is there a better way i'm missing?

  My aim is to simply be informative about where a link is pointing to search engines. I have some content that is listed by name and then I have a "Permalink" button. Would it be blackhat SEO to add some hidden text within the anchor that describes where the permalink is pointing? My content is like so: News Item 1 Permalink (<a href="/my-news-item-1"><hidden>News Item 1</hidden> Permalink</a>) Teaser text.. The news title of the block already links to the article, but I think it would be of benefit to users to provide and explicit permalink button.

  I'm developing an Android game and have some troubles: I want to add some foreground sprites, that must obstruct my player. Se the following example: Its a screenshot from "Shinobi 3". We can see the player, the enemy, the background and two foreground trees, that hide the player's arm and part of the enemy. I'm using AndEngine GLES2 Anchor Center and I am trying to add a new layer to my scene. Sprite Forest = new Sprite(getWidth() * 0.5f, textureHeightForest * 0.5f + 100, ResourcesManager.getInstance().foreground_forest_region, vbom); Entity foregroundLayer = new Entity(); foregroundLayer.attachChild(hillFurthest); attachChild(foregroundLayer); But it still shows behind my player sprite. I am trying to find something in HUD-class (it's always shown in the foreground), but got no results. Can anyone help please?
