  I have a problem coding Python in terminal. I'm just learning basics so I have no need to create .py files. In terminal I can run one line of code in the Python interpreter, but how do I write more than one line? Obviously if I hit enter, it enters the command and doesn't go down a line. • How to make Nginx fire 504 immediately is server is not available?

  I have Nginx set up as a load balancer with cookie-based stickiness. The logic is: If the cookie is NOT there, use round-robbing to choose a server from cluster. If the cookie is there, go to the server that is associated with the cookie value. Server is then responsible for setting the cookie. What I want to add is this: If the cookie is there, but server is down, fallback to round-robbing step to choose next available server. So actually I have load balancing and want to add failover support on top of it. I have managed to do that with the help of error_page directive, but it doesn't work as I expected it to. The problem: 504 (and the fallback associated with it) fires only after 30s timeout even if the server is not physically available. So what I want Nginx to do is fire a 504 (or any other error, doesn't matter) immediately (I suppose this means: when TCP connection fails). This is the behavior we can see in browsers: if we go directly to server when it is down, browser immediately tells us that it can't connect. Moreover, Nginx seems to be doing this for 502 error: if I intentionally misconfigure my servers, Nginx fires 502 immediately. The client/server model doesn't matter, it could be like haxball (i.e. the room creator is the host) or changing host, or the server is host (if there is such a thing) I just want to learn the basics to create a field where players can move their characters in real time. So where should I start? Please guide me into the right direction. And with examples please. I found out that RTMFP does what I seek, but how do I use it? I've been playing around with it for a while and now I am learning the basics of HLSL shaders, I have noticed in the MSDN documentation that there have been some syntax changes in HLSL between DirectX 9 and DirectX 10, for example, the Sampler type Since I am having some troubles with my desktop pc, I am using my laptop which video card only supports DirectX 9.0c. Then I'm gonna have to write my shaders using the DirectX 9 syntax, right? So I am wondering, will my HLSL shaders written using the DirectX 9 syntax work on a system running DirectX 10 (or higher)?

• How long would it take to learn Python?

  Hi all I have decided to take the time out after work to learn Python. Python appeals to me because at work (Web and eLearning Company), I have to follow out very repetitive tasks like delete all these tags, rename all these tasks and even more advanced repetive tasks. Additionally it would be good for me to get an understanding of Python first because of its fairly easy to learn syntax. How long would it take to learn the basics and go through these tutorials on Python (+ the Python tutorial)? • How can you learn to design nice looking websites?

  I am a moderately capable web developer. I can put stuff where I want it to go and put some JQuery stuff in there if I need to. However, if I am making my own website (which I am starting to do) I have no idea how to design it. If someone was to sit next to me a point to the screen and say "put this picture there, text there" I can do that quite easily. But designing my own site with my choice of colours and text will look like a toddler has invented it. Does anyone know any websites/books I can look at or has anyone got any tips on the basics of non-toddler web design?
