  • Getting DirectoryNotFoundException when trying to Connect to Device with CoreCon API

    I'm trying to use the CoreCon API in Visual Studio 2008 to programmatically launch device emulators. When I call device.Connect(), I inexplicably get a DirectoryNotFoundException. I get it if I try it in PowerShell or in C# Console Application.   • How to connect to bluetoothbee device using j2me?

    I developed a simple bluetooth connection application in j2me. I try it on emulator, both server and client can found each other, but when I deploy the application to blackberry mobile phone and connect to a bluetoothbee device it says service search no records. What could it be possibly wrong? is it j2me can not find a service in bluetoothbee? The j2me itself succeed to found the bluetoothbee device, but why it can not find the service? My code is below.   • SSIS - Access Denied with UNC paths - The file name is a device or contains invalid characters

    I spent another day tearing my hair out yesterday trying to resolve an issue with SSIS packages runnning in SQLAgent (not got much left at the moment, maybe I should contact the SSIS team for a wig). My situation was that I am deploying packages to a development server, and to provide isolation I was running jobs with a proxy account that only had access to the development servers. Proxies are an awesome feature and mean that you should never have to "just run the job as sysadmin". The issue I was facing was that the job step was failing. The job step was a simple execution of the package.The following errors appeared in my log file. I always check the "Log step output in history" for a job step, this ensures you get all the output from the command that you run. I'll blog about this later. If looking at the output in sysdtslog90 then you will have an entry with datacode -1073573533 and error message File or directory "<filename>" represented by connection "<connection>" does not exist.  Not exactly helpful. If you get the output from the console then you will also get these errors. 0xC0202070 "The file name property is not valid. The file name is a device or contains invalid characters." 0xC001401E "specified in the connection was not valid." It appears this error is due to the use of a UNC path and the account runnnig the package not having access to all the folders in the path. Solution To solve this you need to ensure that the proxy account has access to ALL folders in the path you are accessing. To check this works, logon as the relevant proxy user, or run a command window as the specified user. Then try and do net use \\server\share and then do a dir for each folder in the path and check you have access. If these work and you still have the problem then you have some other problem, sorry.     So, I am trying to install skype through apt-get, but after running into this problem multiple times, and trying to find a solution, it still doesn't work... I tried all the answers here: Installing Skype on 12.04 64 bit causes errors, but I still get the error. (my problem is exactly the same as that one, too) I even went and edited the package status thing manually, and removed all references to 'skype' or 'skype-bin'. I still get the problem... I'm running ubuntu 12.10, as a dual-boot with windows 7. It's a 64-bit computer.

  • Linux not picking up new partition correctly on emc pseudo device

    Hi We have a database server running oracle rac. We were recently running out of space on the main LUN that it is attached to. I created a new 100GB LUN and concatenated this onto the existing LUN creating a new MetaLUN. After some messing I managed to get linux to recognise the new space. I then created a new partition in on the pseudo device, to use the new space. Previously when I have done this on other system the next step is to create an ASM disk on the new partition and add this disk to the oracle disk group. This however fails. I am aware of various issues with ASM and powerpath, but I don't think this is the issue here. As on while investigating the issue I discovered that one of the underlying logical device is not reflecting the size change.     I have a weird situation. I have a model set to 0 for X,Y and Z. My camera's position is set to: 0 (X-value, but updates when the model moves around) the model's height + 20f (about the same level as the model's shoulders) 25f (behind the model) Without the controller plugged in, everything looks fine as I want it. But as soon as I plug the controller in, the camera aims to the sky! But when I unplug the controller, the camera is back to what it should be. Does anyone have any insight as to what may cause this from plugging a controller in?

    In both Skype and the Sound Recorder application, I am not capturing any audio from my built-in microphone. I'm not sure why. Otherwise, sound output is working well. I have tried running gstreamer-properties and setting the Default Input plugin to PulseAUdio as well (to match the output), and it didn't help. I have tried running alsamixer -V all and I only get 2 input-related entries: Capture(L R) which is on 100 and not muted (can't be either), and Analog Mic Boost which is on 20db. Extra info: Camera (video) is working well on Skype and Kamerka.   • sd card won't mount when an android phone is connected after 12.10 fresh install

    I just upgraded to 12.10 via a fresh install. Mounting my Xperia Neo V in 12.04 worked flawlessly however I just discovered that the sd card can't be detected and mounted in 12.10. How can I solve this? Thanks in advance. P. S. I can mount it via a card reader though and it mounts ok in Windows 7. So it surely can't be hardware related. EDIT: Sony Ericsson Neo V running Android 2.3.4. USB mass storage is already turned on.

  • Unity Desktop not loading and ccsm method not working

    I installed Ubuntu 13.04 x86_64 on my HP Pavillion DV7-6c60us. It installs fine and works until I update. I run the software updater and reboot as it requests after. When my computer comes back on I get the desktop background but the rest of the Unity desktop doesn't load. I've tried the ccsm method and re-enabling but it just de-enables itself. I've also tried installing the gnome desktop but that does nothing for me either. I really want to switch to Ubuntu but this is causing issues. P.S. I've also tried using 12.10 and 12.04 with no dice.

My question is however given the “simplicity” of the game I need to build (simple kind of scratch game where you find or not something behind a tile), do I really need complex tools (canvas or node.js for example) ? The game The gamestakes place with a picture of our office as a background (tilemap). For HR purpose, we wish to create the following game fore employees: each day they can come to the website and click on a certain number of tiles (3 max per day) and find behind it motivation advice and interesting facts about the company. The constraints and rules the screen is divided into isometric 2D square tiles. There are basically an image (photograph of our office) number of tiles on the screen game: about 10,000 to much more (with scroll , see below) the players can scroll in 4 directions there are only 2 types of tiles: already open and closed player can open tiles that have not been yet open by other players there is no path for players : any player can click on any tile on the screen at any moment (if it’s not already done by another player) 2 players can’t be on the same tile at the same moment (or if they can, I’ll have to manage to see which one clicked on it first) only one type of player (all with similar roles), no weapon, no internal score… very simple game. no complex physics (collision only occurs if 2 players are on the same tile) The target I need to achieve: cross device, cross browsers high performance reaction (subsecond reactions) average nb of players per hour: up to 10K players per hour (quite high indeed but it’s because we aim at proving our case for the game to our business unit) So what I would like to know: 2D Tiled map: Do I need tiledmapeditor or can I enable me split the screen like here ? should I use canvas or plain html/css could be sufficient for my need? do I need a game engine/framework such as melon.js or crafty./js ? (even if the game play is extremely basic, I do need mouse and touché device support, mouse emulations on touch devices…) or ca I easily/quickly do it without? for my constraints and targets, should I use CPU acceleration ? for my constraints and targets, should I use web workers ? for the database, for a massively real time game should I avoid to put the current locations of player in MySQL as i feel it might slow me down.   • Print to file in Black and White (but not in greyscale) [not printer specific]

    Hi all, I have these pdf files of c++code and they are colored which would be cool, except that the network printer here is b&w and the printed out codes come in various shades of pale grey which makes them essentially unreadable (specially the comments). I would like everything (text, codes, commands,...) to be printed in the same (black) color. i've tried fuddling with the printer's properties, but the closest thing i see is the 'level of grey' tab, and there i have the choice between 'enhanced' and 'normal' (and it doesn't make a difference in my case). i've tried 'print to file', but i don't see any options there to print to b&w, I've tried installing the 'generic cups printer', but again no options to print to b&w. any idea ? (i'm on 10.10)

  • Defaulting internet requests to wlan0 when also connected to eth0

    I am trying to configure an Ubuntu 10.04 desktop edition as a server. I currently have the DHCP server working through eth0. My problem is that I only have one Ethernet port, and am receiving Internet though a mobile hotspot on my phone through wlan0, and whenever I attempt to connect through wlan0 and eth0 I am unable to access the Internet through the server or the clients. When I disconnect from eth0 I then regain access. I have searched extensively for a solution, and have come up short. Any help is appreciated.

    My laptop (Dell Inspiron 17R 5720) came with preinstalled Ubuntu 11.10. I removed it and installed 12.04. Now I can't find driver for wireless. Apparently, in 11.10 there was Broadcom-STA driver. But in 12.04 there is no additional drivers to install. I tried using: sudo m-a a-i broadcom-sta But building fails on 26%. How can I install driver According to lspci i got: Broadcom Corporation Device 4365 (rev 01)
