  Context: I am implementing a flex auto-suggest combobox - as the user types in each character: Consider the string 'Stackoverflow' and user input = 'st' 1) the data provider is filtered to show all items starting with 'st' 2) text is set to auto-suggest string such that the un-typed part is highlighted. So for instance, the combobox text may contain st'ackoverflow', where 'ackoverflow' is highlighted using setSelectedIndex() Issue: When I hit back-space or delete, and check the 'this.text' value, I expect that the last un-highlighted character ('t' in the above case) gets deleted and the data provider is filtered to show all items starting with 's'. However the text property contains 'st', as before Question: what am I missing? What else can I try out?

  Yes, I need to clean a table and I have EDM that comes with .net 3.5 sp1 (I haven't tried with EF4). I know that works: foreach(var item in ctx.Elements){ ctx.DeleteObject(item); } but it's not a point to get all data from the table and and deleting one by one. Ok, I know it's deleted when I run ctx.SaveChanges(); but DELETE FROM [Elements] looks better :) Tried stored procedure and function import, but VS designer for EDM just doesn't work. I also couldn't find any resources about defining it in .edmx manually.

  To allow caching a PHP generated file, I want to make sure, that the 'Pragma: no-cache' header is not set. However, how do I delete a possibly already set header? That is, it could be possible, that somewhere in the code someone wrote header('Pragma: no-cache'); and now I want to make sure, the header is not sent. Is it sufficient to do this: header('Pragma:'); or is there something like delete_header() (which would, apparently, be undocumented or well-hidden)?

  I need to delete all folders in "tomin" folder, which name contains terminates with the ".delme" string. The deletion need to be done recurively: I mean on all directory and SUB directories. I though to do this: FOR /R tomin %%X IN (*.delme) DO (RD /S /Q "%%X") but it does not work, I think /R ignores wildcards. Before asking this quation I searched also in SO and found this: but the answers did not help me in solving my issue, following the suggestion given there I tried: FOR /F tomin "delims=" %%X IN ('dir /b /ad *.delme') DO RD /S /Q "%%X" But it did not work either. Any help aprreciated, thanks!

What if i do: char *test(int ran){ char *ret = new char[ran]; // process... return ret; } And then run it: for(int i = 0; i < 100000000; i++){ string str = test(rand()%10000000+10000000); // process... // no need to delete str anymore? string destructor does it for me here? } So after converting the char* to string, i dont have to worry about the deleting anymore?

• Delete file after sharing via intent.

  I'm trying to delete a temporary file after sharing it via android's Intent.ACTION_SEND feature. Right now I am starting the activity for a result and in OnActivityResult, I am deleting the file. Unfortunately this only works if I am debugging it with a breakpoint, but when I let it run freely and say, email the file, the email has no attachment. I think what is happening is my activity is deleting the file before it had been emailed. What I don't get is why, shouldn't onActivityResult only be called AFTER the other activity is finished? I have also tried deleting the file in onResume, but no luck. Is there a better way to do this?

Also I have global_names set to false, and cannot be changed either. When I try to use these links however, I receive: ORA-02069: - global_names parameter must be set to TRUE for this operation Cause: A remote mapping of the statement is required but cannot be achieved because GLOBAL_NAMES should be set to TRUE for it to be achieved. - Action: Issue `ALTER SESSION SET GLOBAL_NAMES = TRUE` (if possible) What is the alternative action when setting global_names=true is not possible?   I have a local testing environment in a Fedora virtual machine. Strangely, resources (css and js files) don't seem to work. Looking at Firebug, I see that the browser sends the HTTP request with "Range bytes=0-". The server responds with either an empty 200OK or an empty 206 Partial Content. • Apache stops responding to http requests -- https continues to work

  Okay. Very strange problem that I'm having here. I just recently updated to Apache 2.4.2 from 2.2.17, mostly to try to get name-based SSL VirtualHosts working (although they should have been working on 2.2.17). Server is Win2008 R2 (so x64 by definition) running with PHP 5.4.3 and MySQL 5.1.40 (outdated, I know). When I launch the server, it initially works fine. Responds to all requests, VirtualHosts all in order. However, after an uncertain amount of time (appears to only take a few minutes for the most part, but sometimes takes hours), it stops responding to regular HTTP requests (on any VirtualHost). HTTPS continues to work. No errors in the log, and nothing in the access logs when I attempt to connect. I'm having a hard time finding the source of this error given its intermittent nature. When removing all SSL-based VirtualHosts, it seemingly increased stability (still responding to HTTP requests twelve hours later). This could be mere coincidence, though. • Large, high performance object or key/value store for HTTP serving on Linux

  I have a service that serves images to end users at a very high rate using plain HTTP. The images vary between 4 and 64kbytes, and there are 1.300.000.000 of them in total. The dataset is about 30TiB in size and changes (new objects, updates, deletes) make out less than 1% of the requests. The number of requests pr. second vary from 240 to 9000 and is dispersed pretty much all over, with few objects being especially "hot". As of now, these images are files on a ext3 filesystem distributed read only across a large amount of mid range servers. This poses several problems: Using a fileysystem is very inefficient since the metadata size is large, the inode/dentry cache is volatile on linux and some daemons tend to stat()/readdir() it's way through the directory structure, which in my case becomes very expensive. Updating the dataset is very time consuming and requires remounting between set A and B. The only reasonable handling is operating on the block device for backup, copying, etc. What I would like is a deamon that: speaks HTTP (get, put, delete and perhaps update) stores data it in an efficient structure. The index should remain in memory, and considering the amount of objects, the overhead must be small. The software should be able to handle massive connections with slow (if any) time needed to ramp up. Index should be read in memory at startup. Statistics would be nice, but not mandatory. I have experimented a bit with riak, redis, mongodb, kyoto and varnish with persistent storage, but I haven't had the chance to dig in really deep yet.

• Apache suddenly very slow on http and faster on https

  Background: I have Apache 2 running on ubuntu. There is a low usage on it and mostly being accessed for a web service URL from mobile apps. It was working fine until I installed SSL certificates. I now have both http and https. When I access the server using https, I get a fairly quick response (but probably not as fast as before). When I use http, it's so slow. What I tried: From this post: I curl localhost from the host and it takes some time, meaning there is no routing issue. The server runs on Amazon EC2 instance and is managed by me only. Also: I see that Apache once running, creates the maximum number of processes it is allowed to, which was not the case before. I lowered the MaxClients to 20 and I think I'm getting faster responses but it still takes over a minute and I always have MaxClients Apache processes. dmesg returns many [ 1953.655703] TCP: Possible SYN flooding on port 80. Sending cookies. When I netstat I get many entries with SYN_RECV. Possibly a DDoS attack? From EC2's monitoring diagrams I see a pattern of high "Maximum Network In (Bytes)" since 2 days ago. By the way the server is still being tested, the actual traffic is very low and not consistent. I tried to go with this solution to limit incoming connections using iptables, still no luck, but I'm trying. Question: What could be the problem? Is this a DDoS attack?

  I have a directory named STA. Within that directory are about 600 other directories that have the format hh:mm:ss (for example 00:01:34). Within each of these sub-directories should be three files. I also have a file, 'waveformlist', (contained within STA) which is a list of all of these sub-directories i.e.: 00:01:34 00:02:35 etc. A lot of the sub-directories do not contain these three files and are instead empty. I want to run a C-shell script to go through every sub directory and check if it is empty. If it is empty I want to delete that sub directory from the main directory STA, and also remove that sub-directory name from the list 'waveformlist'. Below is my script so far. It does not recognize when the sub-directory is empty or not and does not like the rm $dir line.   Developers often face situations when they find their column have duplicate records and they want to delete it. A good developer will never delete any data without observing it and making sure that what is being deleted is the absolutely fine to delete. Before deleting duplicate data, one should select it and see if the data is really duplicate. In this video we are demonstrating two scripts – 1) selects duplicate records 2) deletes duplicate records. We are assuming that the table has a unique incremental id. Additionally, we are assuming that in the case of the duplicate records we would like to keep the latest record. If there is really a business need to keep unique records, one should consider to create a unique index on the column. Unique index will prevent users entering duplicate data into the table from the beginning. This should be the best solution. However, deleting duplicate data is also a very valid request. If user realizes that they need to keep only unique records in the column and if they are willing to create unique constraint, the very first requirement of creating a unique constraint is to delete the duplicate records.
