  Are there any Intel AVX intrinsics library out? I'm looking for something similar as 'sse2mmx.h' header which fall-backs to MMX intrinsics if SSE2 integer intrinsics are not available on compile time. Thus if I had similar library for AVX I could write optimized code for new hardware which would have almost optimal speed in case AVX extension isn't available. Googling didn't help much so far :(

• relational type operation on key value storage

  in my objects table i have id | type | parent | order | created and then in my data table i have object_id | key | value i want to get object of type 'x' where key 'y' === 'z' in the most optimal way possible. ie. get user where slug === 'jonny' i'm currently doing it with joins, because i'm doing this in mysql as a quick test. but i'll be moving to redis or a similar key/value storage system so obviously that won't work.

  I believe conversion exactly to BigInteger[] would be optimal in my case. Anyone had done or found this written in Java and willing to share? So imagine I have arbitrary size byte[] = {0xff,0x3e,0x12,0x45,0x1d,0x11,0x2a,0x80,0x81,0x45,0x1d,0x11,0x2a,0x80,0x81} How do I convert it to array of BigInteger's and then be able to recover it back the original byte array safely? ty in advance.

• Is a display list best for this? (OpenGL)

  I'm rendering 2D polygons with the GLUTesselator the first time, then they are stored in a display list for subsequent use. I think VBO's might be faster, but since I can't access the stuff that the tesselator outputs, and since it uses mixes of gl_triangle, quad, strip etc, i'm not sure how I could do this, even though I would like to use VBO's once the GLUTesselator is done with them for optimal performance.   assume that i start coding an application from scratch, is the best way to create tables when using Doctrine, to manually create tables in mysql and then generate models from the tables, or is it the other way around, that is to create the models in php and then generate tables from models? and if i already have a database, will the models created be optimal? cause i have heard some say that its best to create the database from scratch when using ORM, so that the relations are optimized for OOD. share your thoughts!

I checked the ControlCollection, it does not seem to have a "created" or "modified" events. Also MessageFilter could not receive any create, or destroy events.
